LKY was a lawyer by training, so he was always very careful with his words and it was always backed up by facts. He saw how the racial riots tore Singapore apart, hence the censorship of press.
I like Japan, loved their food and safety aspects of it. But the work and study cultures are quite a turn off
Not perfect answers but the right answers. Social censorship is relevant today under the POFM Act.
I am wondering if he been back to Singapore since??

Your videos are very interesting – bring in different perspectives. Thank you.
Mr. Lee KY was a kind man ❤🎉
どうやってシンガポールと繋がりがある日本人(日本在住)とつながることができたんでしょうか?驚き!
異国で暮らすならシンガポールで暮らしてみたいです
Good to see U again ojisan
Hi Fujioka-san, thank you for remembering Singapore. We ❤ Japan too!
Bravo !! I hv been watching the old interviews of LKY thru YT these 2days only. And here U are! Amazing connections! ❤😍😘🤟🏽🙏🙏
LKY is a bad dishonest man who robbed and betrayed people. His character is of question within the community.
Very wholesome. Good video
I like this video. Thank you.
Love the classrooms. Comfy
10:05 that is not City Hall, it is AXA Towers. It has been torn down.
Great story! Well done.
That Singaporeans growing up in a multilingual society and undergoing bilingual education are subconsciously or otherwise better able to relate to students learning a different language.
Awesome interview, great content, keep it up 👍
Thank you for this episode. It forms part of our beloved LKY legacy for the plentitude and minute un-broadcasted things LKY has done for Singapore throughout his lifetime. Thank you!!
What a great story again. So interesting! 😄👍👍
Ghib, thanks for the interesting video! It' s always interesting to see people' s experiences in other countries. Also I recommend Rakuten Travel. I live in Japan and use them all the time. Take care everyone!
I love this content, feel very close to heart as a Singaporean that been through 80s era especially.
Ghib, do you know what happened to iChang and Jimmy? They have not posted for a month. I know you guys are good friends.
Haha! He got me at 'Sotong'! 👍
Thank you so much for this video!
It's great to know our dear Mr Lee Kuan Yew had touched so many people other than Singaporeans. And Fujioka-san respects him so much!
Yes, Fujioka-san should make a trip back here to Singapore. So much good memories.❤
RIP Mr Lee Kuan Yew 🙏
You're dearly missed, SIR😔
You have to admire everyone at that time. At that time everyone was healing from war. Singapore was the victim. To be gracious like that, that's strength I can't even fathom.
I see LKY, I must click. Why I never click immediately? Singaporeans are always busy working lah. 😀
My family is going to Nagoya, Kyoto & Osaka soon for vacation. So I'm rewatching some of your Osaka vids and checking Google Maps.
I definitely agree that we should invite Fujioka-san to Singapore (assuming he's not already doing so while recruiting teachers.) He wouldn't even recognise any places anymore. All the buildings in that photo were demolished with the old Treasury building or AXA Tower being the last to go. I didn't even realise AXA Tower was that old.
Well maybe Lau Pa Sat is still there but not visible in that photo, but for chicken rice, please don't go Lau Pa Sat, go a bit further to Maxwell market.
I tried using Rakutan to search for Hotels in Kyoto but they were all so expensive, though the properties all look very nice. Now got discount, maybe can relook again.
A Japanese interviewing another Japanese, in English!
Only because of their love for Singapore ❤❤❤
