国道18号を小諸・上田方面から軽井沢に向かう途中
御代田町から軽井沢町に入り二つ目の信号追分宿を左に曲る
その宿場町の中程に目的地の蕎麦処【ささくら】さんがあります

⚪️お店に向かって右100メートルのところの寿美屋さんの駐車場に数台
⚪️町営駐車場利用できます

するみそばのタレ120円
そばは細麺で腰があり喉越しも良いです
そばの実コロッケははじめての食感でしたがとても美味しくいただきました

Heading towards Karuizawa from Komoro/Ueda on National Route 18

Enter Karuizawa from Miyota-machi and turn left at the second traffic light, Oiwake-juku

You will find your destination, the soba restaurant [Sasakura], in the middle of the post town

🅿️5 parking spaces in front of the restaurant

⚪️6 spaces on the left side of the restaurant

⚪️Several spaces in the parking lot of Sumi-ya, 100 meters to the right of the restaurant

⚪️You can use the town-run parking lot

Soba croquette 280 yen

Zaru soba 880 yen

Small serving of zaru soba 660 yen

Tempura assortment 700 yen

Surumi soba sauce 120 yen

The soba is thin and chewy, and goes down smoothly

It was my first time trying soba croquette, but it was very delicious

軽井沢ストーブカフェ【オキザリス】で朝食を食べるHave breakfast at Karuizawa Stove Cafe [Oxalis]

中軽井沢方面から国道18号線で軽井沢駅方面に向かう途中離山信号を左折して旧軽井沢銀座方面に向かいます　この通りを離山通りと呼んでいます

軽井沢離山通り沿いに以前から気になるカフェがありました
今回そのストーブカフェ【オキザリス】さんに行ってみましたこのお店の周辺にわかりやすい目印がありませんので注意して走行してください

カフェの前に駐車場4台分のスペースがありそこに駐車してお店に入りました
落ち着いた雰囲気の店内でモーニングセットのオムレツとロスティをオーダーしました
オムレツはふわっとしてとろとろで口の中に広がる味わいがとても良かったです
ロスティは細切りのジャガイモの食感にたまごのまろやかさが加わり美味しくいただきました

On the way from Nakakaruizawa to Karuizawa Station on National Route 18, turn left at the Riyama signal and head towards Old Karuizawa Ginza. This street is called Riyama Street.

There was a cafe along Karuizawa Riyama Street that I had been interested in for a while.

This time I went to the stove cafe [Oxalis]. There are no obvious signs around the shop, so please drive carefully.

There is a parking space for four cars in front of the cafe, so I parked there and entered the shop.

I ordered a morning set of omelette and rosti in the calm atmosphere of the shop.

The omelette was fluffy and creamy, and the flavor that spread in my mouth was very good.

The rosti was delicious with the texture of shredded potatoes and the mellowness of the eggs.

Karuizawa’s Mampei Hotel was founded in 1894, and the main building is a nationally designated tangible cultural property.
The hotel has been closed since January 2023 for major renovations, but after the renovations were completed, the main dining room and cafe will soft open on August 16, 2024.

John Lennon spent summers at this hotel from 1976 to 1979 and is known for his love of apple pie and milk tea.

Soft opening from August 16 to September 23, 2024. Grand opening scheduled for autumn 2024.
