We started off our Macedonian food tour in Ohrid at a place for a traditional breakfast. The flavour and tastes were delicious. You’ve got to enjoy the scenery when visiting Ohrid, and this place has one of the best. We continued exploring the best food in Ohrid, with a stop into a local shop for some coffee. This was some can’t miss coffee and possibly the best coffee in the Balkans.

The food in Macedonia always surprises us with its flavour, taste and deliciousness. Here, there is truly some of the best food in the Balkans! We finished off our Ohrid food tour in Macedonia tasting the famous and rare Ohrid lake trout. The rare Ohrid lake trout is endemic to Lake Ohrid, and it was a treat getting to taste it. The Ohrid Lake trout should be on any Balkan food tour list as it is such a unique fish!
