Vlog 07: Japan Day Trip To Dazaifu, Visit Popular Shinto Shrine, Enjoying Local Snacks & Cafe Lunch
Good Day! It’s the start of Day 8 and we are headed to Dazaifu for a day trip! We took the train from Yakuin Station and it took us 40 minutes to reach our destination. We tried to get there earlier before 10am to avoid the crowds. We enjoyed some local snacks in freshly made umegae mochi and soft senbei (aka wet rice cake). We then visited the popular shinto shrine, Dazaifu Temangu. There were many visitors as well as students who were there to pray for success in their upcoming exams. We then had a nice lunch at CoRicco Cafe before visiting a cool looking Starbucks on the way back to the train station.
Join us on our adventures as we travel to Kyushu, Japan. Exploring & Fishing (where possible) as we visit the cities of Beppu, Kumamoto, Nagasaki & Fukuoka.
