After work on Friday, I visited Narashino City in Chiba Prefecture. The area is a student town, home to universities like Nihon University and Toho University. Although it was late and a typhoon was approaching, there were still students walking around the shopping street. The high student population likely explains the abundance of ramen shops in the area.
