4K Hokkaido Drive | Shibetsu to Notsuke Peninsula, Japan

Notsuke peninsula is the longest sandspit in Japan, stretching 28km from west to east in eastern Hokkaido.
The drive begins at Shibetsu town and heads to the end of the road in the Notsuke peninsula.
This sandspit is so narrow at some points that you may feel as if you were driving on a bridge over the bay.
This place is well-known for its scenery, which includes dead Todowara, a type of pine tree that stands in the wetland. Unfortunately, it’s hardly visible in this video.
