This barbershop is frozen in an era long gone, untouched by time.
A faded pricelist inside still shows haircuts for just 2 euros—a price that feels almost impossible today. This place—so bizarre, yet, so rare—reminds us of how much our world has changed, how inflation has quietly crept into our modern-day life, making everything more expensive, even the simple act of a trim.
This was once the business of Robert, a French gentleman whose hands shaped the hair of many. But Robert’s story ended in the late 1980s, leaving behind not just a business, but a life, a love—his wife, Odette.
Odette, with grace and resilience, spent nearly three decades as a widow. She found solace in her daughter, Germaine, and together, they tried to breathe new life into the building. They opened a bar and restaurant, hoping to continue the legacy. But unlike the thriving barbershop, the new venture struggled, and after just four years, its doors closed for good.
Germaine eventually left, seeking her own path, leaving Odette alone in a place filled with memories. And now, just 4 years after Odette’s passing, the building stands abandoned, a relic of another time. Mold creeps up the walls, leaks spread in the basement, and the once vibrant living spaces are now crumbling, forgotten. As we step inside this bizarre time capsule, we can’t help but wonder why Germaine never returned, and why she left this place to rot. But maybe, just maybe, there’s more to the story than we’ll ever know.
Come with me, as we uncover the secrets within these crumbling walls, and reflect on a past that seems so distant, yet so close.

just a note: the small records are not 45 inch. 45 refers to the speed of the turntable… a larger album turns at 33 1/3 speed
there would be a toggle on the record player where you could change the speed of the turntable depending on what kind of record you were playing.
👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍
What a beautiful place! Very awesome video bro! 👍❤️🤘
That was awesome house and business sad it falling apart thanks for sharing that
Me encantó el salón de belleza 😍 Gracias
I went back and watched again, l actually believe someone, possibly the daughter, did come back and went through things. The way all the freezers were empty and some of the things were stored. There are no pictures on the walls of any family members either.
Surprise no one has turned the water off? Etc….
Hola Maureno y Remon 🥰
Hello Maureno and Remon! Very unique place . I am thinking the daughter maybe her reason why she was never return to sale the place with the business. We are not knowing her conditions of health or economic to explain Why the Parents House and business finished abandoned. But the black mold probably was one reason. You will need used better protection for your health. After my daughter Natalia was diagnosed with Valley Fever in 2020 . Iam knowing to be more cautious. She was digging for her work but here in California, Arizona,Colorado and Nevada was one fungus in the ground. The symptoms was similar to COVID but it is not transmitted to other persons. 🤗❤
Love this explore👍🏻 me and my mother were both hairdressers and those hair clips were for perms 😀so wonderful thanks for taking us along ❤also that razor you picked up is a old clipper to give a crew cut so awesome to step back in time with you 💇♀️💇♂️
The stuff in the bar looks too clean. No dust or C webs.
Maureono, thanks for this wonderful virtual tour! 👍👍👍
reminds me of my Late Uncle John's barbershop. My uncle lived to nearly 100 years and died 20 or so years ago. he used to cut my hair 50 years ago.
Невероятная атмосфера – застывшее время… У вас потрясающее чувство композиции в кадре! Очень достойно! Как всегда респект 👍✌️
that's amazing
This is a really cool place but somebody needs to shut the water supply off. I is also a waste of water. You can tell it has been leaking for a long time. I am sure the local utility would be happy to shut it off.
Hello Maureno, What a interesting building, business ,home and story. Great job once again!
the sewing machine, Central, was a Canadian Brand
Loved the Barber Shop! Couldn't believe all the black mold. Great video! Thanks!

Maravilhoso❤❤❤❤
Oh my god… I'm obsessed with these vintage beauty products
미용실 하신지 오래 되셨나봐요 그러니 모든것이 옛날게 많겠지요?
Fantastic house. Miss Ramon with you in this exploration.
Buongiorno
Che tristezza non capisco perché la figlia non sia tornata ed ha lasciato tutto al macero 😢…
💪💪💪💪💪❤️👋
it seems a french place and one picture on the shelf state the year 1978 so the prices are in French Francs not in Euro
42:49 It's a magazine that simply offers as a gift a modern reprint of an old issue (hence the mention in the top right-hand corner “as it appeared that day”). Newspapers often make modern reprints of important old issues, for publication anniversaries for example. "Journaux de Guerre" n°44 was published on October 25, 2016 😉
This hair salon seems to date from the 1960s, given the style of the objects, and at 43:37 you can see the dates of the decrees on which it depends: 1957, 1958 and 1961. The prices are in Old French Franc. Nowadays, 2.73 AFF = 0.05 € (with inflation) according to the INSEE website. It's a dream come true, I'm not sure their converter is completely up to date.
And Ajaccio is in Corsica, not Sicily, dear friend 😊
thank you so much this was just amazing xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I would loooove a sewing machine like that 😊 Not only it’s necessary to make life easier but they look so good in any room. At least to me. The white open toe shoe was cute that’s my style.
Thank you for sharing this it’s so cool! Maybe wen you find ladies perfumes you can smell it and tell us if it smells good? Like roses or patchouli or vanilla..anyway big hug n kisses from nyc ❤
