FUKUOKA to OSAKA Overnight Ferry: Budget-Friendly Shared Room for $34
I took the cheapest room on the overnight ferry from Fukuoka to Osaka in JAPAN!
It is a 12.5 hour ferry trip. I boarded the 17:00 departure of the Meimon Taiyo Ferry’s “Ferry Kita-Kyushu II”. The company owns four ferries, with two departures a day, at 17:00 and 19:30. Please note that fees are higher during summer and winter vacations and weekends when schools are closed.

★ WHAT WAS THE TRIP LIKE? ★
・My back hurt because I was just laying a thin futon on a hard floor. However, it is much more comfortable than sleeping on a night bus.
・ I’m lucky I was alone in a big room, but if there had been a lot of people there, I wouldn’t have slept well.
・ That pork bun was crazy good. Highly recommended!
・For budget travelers, it’s nice to be able to come to Osaka for about one-third the cost of the Bullet Train.
・Dotonbori at 6 a.m. is completely empty of tourists, making it the perfect time to take a picture with the Glico Man!
