An Evening Walk Around A Campground in Japan
Let’s take a walk around Chibamura Auto Camper’s Resort. This was once a weekend-getaway hotel in the mountains of Gunma for the people of Chiba Prefecture during the bubble period (the heyday of Japan’s economy in the 1980s). The economy slowed down and this resort was closed for many years.
In recent years, it reopened as an auto campground. The lobby of the former hotel is used as a reception for the evening light show in the forest behind it. The old art museum is now a night cafe and has a telescope for star-gazing.
