Free breakfast can be found all over Japan | Nagoya, Japan
Morning sets or Morning service is a concept in Japan which started in Ichinomiya, just north of Nagoya. It used to be a small amount of free food, like peanuts or a boiled egg, offered as a thanks for patronage, but as it grew in popularity and was adopted by surrounding establishments, it inevitably became competitive to the point of offering full breakfasts. This might look like toast with an egg or some spread, or it could be more substantial like a sandwich, or an onigiri rice ball. It depends entirely on the cafe!
There are plenty of places that offer this in Nagoya. A list of famous coffee shops are below, as well as details to Bucyo, where we went as it was close to our hotel and offered the curious kinako butter toast.
