Norokko Train to Lavender Farm Tomita Furano Hokkaido Japan Travel Vlog
On today’s journey we took the special Norokko train to the Lavender Farm Station. The train only stops at this station during the summer. A one way ticket cost 1,970 yen for a reserved seat. The ride from Asahikawa Station to the Lavender Farm Station was about 1 hour and 15 minutes. We then walked about 10 minutes to Lavender Farm Tomita in Furano.
There is no entry fee to Farm Tomita. It consists of ten different fields, some busier than others. There are several cafes to enjoy a meal or refreshments, and places to shop for souvenirs. We had the opportunity to enjoy the lavender soft serve ice cream, lavender ramune, crispy croquettes, vegetable curry, and Furano melon.
We spent about 3 hours here, which was a bit long. The reason we stayed this long is because we purchased the special train tickets for a roundtrip and did not know how much time we would need. With so much time, we were able to leisurely walk the entire property, shop, eat, and relax. I suggest staying a minimum of 45 minutes to at enjoy the lavender ice cream and melon.
