JAPAN’S BEAUTY – MOUNT OMURO | SHIZUOKA JAPAN | BEST PLACE TO VISIT | 4K 大室山 | VLOG 107

This is the third vlog of our road trip through Japan, where we visited Mt. Omuro. Mt. Omuro is an extinct volcano located on the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. It stands about 580 meters tall and is known for its unique, perfectly symmetrical shape resembling an upside-down bowl. A chairlift takes visitors to the summit, where they can enjoy the breathtaking scenery and even try their hand at archery at the summit’s archery range.
The Mt. Omuro Burning Festival, known as the “Yamayaki,” is an annual event held every February on Mt. Omuro in Japan. This traditional festival involves the controlled burning of the entire grassy surface of the mountain. The event is deeply rooted in local culture and is believed to help maintain the mountain’s landscape, promote new growth, and prevent wildfires.
