This time, we visited the “Railway Model Contest 2024” held in Tokyo on August 2-4, 2024. Known as the “Koshien of Railway Models,” this event brings together high school railway model enthusiasts from all over Japan, showcasing their dioramas and layouts that they spent a year creating. The level of craftsmanship was impressive, and while we couldn’t feature all the exhibits, we’ll highlight some standout works.

The event also featured adult groups like “T-TRAK,” “KATO,” “Otona no Thomas Club,” and “Mini Diorama Circus,” whose displays were spectacular and added to the excitement. However, the high school students’ works were equally impressive. At the KATO booth, we saw the dazzling Shinkansen Doctor Yellow at night, and at the “Otona no Thomas Club,” Thomas, Edward, Bill, and Ben were running energetically. The event was packed with families, and it was wonderful to see so many visitors.
