This Was The Hardest Place I Ever Visited | Hiroshima π―π΅
I may owe my existence to the atomic bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan. My grandfather was scheduled to be in the first wave of forces to invade mainland Japan shortly after the bomb was dropped, but this was cancelled due to Japan’s surrender. I knew that I had to visit this place. I’ve been to some places where terrible things have happened, but I never felt connected to any of these events like this one.
I spent a little over 24 hours in the city and surrounding areas. I wanted to really see what the place was like and reflect on the events of the past. There were a lot of silly things there like you might expect to see (as well as an active nightlife) and Miyajima Island was incredibly beautiful.
