Japanese soft serve ice creams are a must-eat | Nagoya, Japan
New Zealand may have the highest ice cream consumption per capita, but Japan’s soft serve game is no joke. The simple and lightly-flavoured medium of milky ice cream opens up a world of innovation when it comes to flavours, pairings, combinations, ingredients, or just for the sake of it. We’ve seen some pretty wacky flavours out there, and while we’d have liked to try way more than we ended up eating, we’re still pretty happy with the ones we managed to find.

When I was at the golden pavilion I got a matcha soft serve generously dusted with extra matcha powder and tiny flakes of gold leaf to be on theme lol but it was super delicious! And also, in osaka, I tried the cheese soft serve and it was salty and sweet, super delicious.
