In this video, we dive deep into the rich culinary traditions of Japan, learning how to make miso ramen and gyoza from scratch. This private lesson was held at the beautiful Ocean View Cafe ’89 Coffee’ in Yomitan Village, just 20 minutes north of Kadena Air Base. This class was perfect for couples and families looking for a unique and fun activity in Okinawa. Our hosts, a kind and talented couple, guided us through each step of the cooking process, sharing their expertise and passion for Japanese cuisine. From the fragrant broth of the miso ramen to the delicate folding of the gyoza, we immersed ourselves in the authentic flavors of Japan.

Join us as we explore the scenic Yomitan Village, meet the wonderful hosts of Ocean View Cafe, and enjoy the fruits of our labor. This cooking class was not just about making delicious food; it was about experiencing the culture and hospitality of Okinawa. Whether you’re a seasoned cook or a beginner, this video has something for everyone. Don’t miss out on this culinary adventure!

  1. Hey guys! Love your Vlog! My wife and 2 kids lived in Okinawa from 2003 to 2012! It was the best experience of our lives. There is so much to see and do for such a small island. The food, the scenery, the diving and snorkeling are the best. Enjoy as long as you can and extend your tour if possible!
