If you are planning a trip to Jeju Island, here is an overview of 15 things to do on the island, as well as some transportation and lodging tips. The Island has a wide array of parks, nature trails, beaches, museums and markets, so there is something for everyone. I was expecting a resort community, but there was so much more. Here are the 15 places I visited:
1. Dongmun Traditional Market
 2. Jeju Stone Park and Museum
 3. Sangumburi
 4. Boromwat Field
 5. Tropical Hallim Park (my favorite!)
 6. Songaksan Mountain
 7. Sanbangsan Mountain
 8. Sanbanggulsa Temple
 9. Seogwipo
 10. Cheonjiyeon Waterfall
 11. Jeongbang Waterfall
 12. Ham Deok Beach
 13. Haenyeo Museum
 14. Sunrise Peak
 15. Bijarim Forest

Senior & Solo travelers: The various areas of Jeju are diverse. Jeju City is a bustling crowded city, but the other areas feel more laid back. Jeju Island is known for its low crime rate, especially petty crimes such as pickpocketing and theft. It’s a safe place where the locals are friendly and respectful. The terrain was also varied. There were coastal and volcano hikes that required some physical work; however, there was almost always a way to visit a site and not push your limits. I only hiked limited distances, but still enjoyed some magnificent views. If you have limited mobility, do a little research before you go to determine the best method for your travel.

It looks like an artist's paradise. I bet art workshops would do well there. Some could be for weeks!
