Hello!

Welcome to our first episode of our 800+ mile hike across Utah (and Arizona) on the Hayduke Trail.

This first episode spans the first 90+ miles of the route from Arches National Park to Needles Outpost outside of Canyonlands National Park. We experience all the emotions during this section: excitement to start a new trail, the challenges that come with hiking in the desert, and the exhausted joy of making it to a refrigerator filled with cold drinks after encountering a lot of undrinkable alkaline (sulphur) water.

It’s been fun revisiting the footage captured from the Hayduke because it truly was a breathtaking trail. It beat us up. But we came out the other side with a deeper appreciation for wilderness, public land, and the amazing people who recreate along it.

New episodes coming this summer. Thanks for watching!

**Special thanks to Caleb and Kelli for giving us a bed to rest and agreeing to be interviewed. Your love for the desert is inspiring.

  1. This is so well done, thanks for sharing your adventure! I hope a lot of people get to see the series. BTW, Celeb wearing alpha on the lounger was pretty hardcore. 🙂

  2. Not everybody is bad*** enough to do these kind of hikes or has the mental capacity to not go insane seeing this water sources. Video is again incredibly nice, with a defining style to rule most of the others and some of the greatest hiker-trash individuals in it.
Personally I stick to the AT. Not that much to write home about compared to the Hayduke but in every "dry stretch" you pass 3 gas stations, 4 restaurants and 10 times trail magic. If you are lucky enough you get Norovirus for free.

  3. what app are you using as navigation? Im getting more and more hooked on this trail now, and was dissapointed to see that Farout doesnt have the trail yet.

  4. Wow, that house was amazing what a great home to live in and be able to still feel apart of nature. Thanks for sharing, and your content is amazing too 😉🤙🏽

  5. Thanks for sharing your adventure! I'm glad the Algorithm directed me here, it must be because I'm following Jupiter's hiking blog and he also just started posting videos on the Hayduke trail.

  10. Just found your channel, loving it. Read Edward Abbey's Monkey Wrench Gang & Hayduke Lives. In fact I have all his books. That's what got me started on your quest. Spent many weeks since 1992 hiking/ camping (tent) in the Four Corners general areas. Passionate about the desert. Now 80 yrs old, so following you guys is so much fun. Looking forward to next episode. Oldtimer Englishman reliving my adventures thru you.

  11. Y'all are hardcore! Getting to a store with cold drinks is top notch after hiking and drinking room temp water for days on end. I can't wait for the next vid!
