The Redbrick Warehouse was a place I wanted to visit in Yokohama due to it’s variety of independent shops, so I thought this would make a unique and pleasant shopping experience. It’s a historical building sitting at the bay of Yokohama that includes a variety of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and events. The warehouse was originally used as a customs building to store imports that were yet to be distributed. During the year events include the October Beer Fest in autumn, a skating rink in winter, and concerts during the summer. The warehouse is divided into two buildings:

YOKOHAMA RED BRICK WAREHOUSE BUILDING 1 – Open 10am-7pm.

The first building has 3 floors. The 3rd floor is used for theatre performances and concerts. The 2nd floor can be used for a variety of purposed including galleries and other events. The 1st floor has a number of shops including glass decorative objects, fragrances, souvenirs, sweets, alcohol, skin care products, snacks, a honey shop, stickers and Yokohama branded goods. The is also a cafe on this floor.

YOKOHAMA RED BRICK WAREHOUSE BUILDING 2 – Open 11am-8pm.

The second building also has 3 floors. The 3rd floor has mostly restaurants including a store selling Disney themed goods (Disney Harvest Market). The 2nd floor has a variety of shops that have unique concepts including Turkish goods, a music box specialist store, wooden design goods and European and Nordic goods to name but a few. The shops continue on the 1st floor with the inclusion of cafes, restaurants, a food court and variety goods shop on the 1st floor.
