hello this is Renee and Tom and I are on the ultimate World cruise and we just sted in Casablanca Morocco well at least we’re trying to as you may have noticed we are now in holding position of the break water in Casablanca we are subject to a bit of North African confusion there has been several messages back and forth pilot is coming pilot is not coming now three warships are leaving I experience that can take some time sorry about this it’s out of our hands we are waiting for the authorities to clear us to go in the captain pivoted the ship and backed us into dock Tom and I didn’t have an Excursion plan we didn’t wait for the shuttle bus to take us into town but we walked a mile to get there the white building is the cassa port Railway Terminal Station it opened up in 1907 the Casablanca Clock Tower was originally built in 1909 and this 1993 reproduction is one of the oldest French built structures in the city we walked around the town for a little bit and then we found our local Cuisine McDonald’s then we headed to a tunnel under the road to get to Union Nation Square once we were done going through the market we headed on back to the [Music] ship again I have to apologize for this morning’s delay it was completely out of our hands as I’m sure you understand this was confusion with the Port Authority First with the Chinese warships coming out and later on with the clearance of the ship and we just doed in agader Morocco good morning ladies and gentlemen and fellow Sailors this is Captain Ste interesting uh arrival this morning we had a siick f from uh early on and we had to keep the fog horn going all the time to avoid lots of small fishing boats once we were cleared to leave Tom and I took a shuttle into town which was a 20-minute ride we were originally going to ride the gondolas but it’s too foggy today and the fog stayed most of the day [Music] where the bus dropped everyone off there was really not much around so we took a taxi to a local market [Music] I went to leave and my backpack hit the side of the wall which was full of [Music] merchandise after I picked everything up we got back in the taxi to go back on the bus to go back to the port and we’re so excited that the next day is a SE day because this is the first SE day we’ve had in 18 days we went to the tropical theater to see who’s on board and there’s 664 Diamond Plus members when we got back to the room we had more swag and the evening’s entertainment was a violinist [Music] make sure to like subscribe and ring that Bell for more Adventures from every corner of the globe here’s our itinerary for the next four ports see you at the next port [Music]
