Exploring Barcelona on Electric Bikes: Unforgettable Tour of Spain’s Vibrant City

Highly recommend Alfredo Sanchez – Photo Bike Tour – Barcelona info@Ifphotobiketourbarcelona.com.

Join us as we dock in beautiful Barcelona, Spain! Our adventure kicks off with a city walk, a visit to the Apple Store to fix my broken iPhone camera, and a quick bite at McDonald’s and Little Caesars. We catch up with an old friend from our last bike tour for drinks and wrap up the day with folkloric entertainment on the ship. This is the completion of segment 3 and the start of segment 4 on our ultimate world cruise! Don’t miss out on the fun and click here to watch our previous bike tour in Barcelona.

hello this is Renee and Tom and I are on the ultimate World cruise and we just doed in Barcelona Spain which means this is the end of segment 3 and the start of segment 4 and only 62 days left we took a shuttle bus into town and started out with a luly walk through the heart of Barcelona Barcelona has a history that spans over 2,000 years Barcelona’s Story begins in ancient times with Legends linking it to Hercules but it was the Romans who established the city 15 BC and as we’re doing our walking tour we Spott a McDonald’s so we stopped for lunch there was no seating on the main floor you had to go down in the basement for seating yes I know we’re having McDonald’s again the Comforts of home our next stop is the Apple Store I don’t know if you’ve noticed this in any of the videos that I’ve been taking but there’s this spot on my camera and the lens is broken not sure how it happened Apple said it’d be ready in a couple hours so we continued walking the next videos are from my Ray band meta sunglasses the city was fortified with walls parts of which are still remained today after the fall of the Western Roman Empire Barcelona was taken over by the visago in the early 5th Century in the early 8th Century the Islamic Moors invaded in 801 Barcelona was conquered it was part of the Spanish merch a buffer zone against Islamic territories the counts of Barcelona gained increasing independence from the Frankish Kings and by the 10th Century they were virtually autonomous finally my phone is back and fixed in no spot anymore the marriage of the count of Barcelona and the queen of Aragon in 1137 unified the county of Barcelona with the kingdom of Aragon forming the crown of Aragon the city’s Prosperity was marked by construction of impressive Gothic buildings such as the cathedr of Barcelona and the Basilica however in the 14th century bought challenges including the black death which drastically reduced the population and conflicts with neighboring territories the dynastic Union of Ferdinand II of AR and Isabel I of Castile in 1469 eventually led to the formation of a unified Spain this centralized power in Madrid and led to a decline in Barcelona’s political influence for dinner we grabbed some more local Cuisine Little Caesar’s Pizza Barcelona supported Arch Duke Charles of Austria against Philip ith of Spain and after Philip the F Victory Barcelona fell in 1714 in the 19th century Barcelona experienced significant industrialization becoming one of the most important industrial centers in Spain this period saw construction of many Moder buildings by Architects such as GTI including the sria Familia which we visited last time and you can watch that video here and I’ll also put a link in the description below in the 20th century during the Spanish Civil War from 1936 to 1939 the city suffered heavy bombings and eventually was captured by Franco’s forces in 1939 after the death of Franco in 1975 democracy was restored Barcelona also hosted the 1992 Summer Olympics this spurred Urban Development and modernization we reconnected with an old friend from our last Bike Tour over drinks chear to good memories and even better company after amazing day in the city it was time to head back to the ship for some folkloric entertainment and of course waiting on our bed was a certificate that we completed segment three of the ultimate World Cruise here’s our itinerary for the next four ports make sure to like subscribe and ring that Bell for more Adventures from every corner of the globe see you at the next port [Music]
