Garda Lake bike path – probably the most beautiful bike path in the world !
Bike path , Cycleway , Cycle lane , Cycle path, Bike lane , Cycle track – call it whatever you are used to but this one from Garda Lake in Italy has to be the most beautiful one in the world.
Ciclopista del Garda it is officially called connects Limone sul Garda with Riva del Garda towns in the north part of Lake Garda in Italy. 3 kilometers of this Cycleway are built in the mountain cliffs and suspended over the lake waters.

As suggested by one viewer recent comment, for a more accurate information: keep in mind that between Riva del Garda and the start of the 3 km suspended path you have to ride on a road with car traffic and lighted tunnels. Drivers are very used to cyclists as the entire area has a huge cycling popularity. We saw so many other cyclists on the same segment and we didn’t felt anytime in danger (but that was our experience). If you start from Limone sul Garda the bike path begins right from the city.

Lake Garda region is famous for cycling (road cycling routes or mountain bike tracks). People come here for the amazing landscape, riding options and delicious Italian food.
The Garda Lake bike lane first sector was opened in 2018 and there is a plan to complete the entire loop around the lake with 140km of bike cycleway by the end of 2026.
At this moment you can enjoy this 3km suspended wooden bike path that will put a big smile on your face. Hopefully there will be more bike lanes sectors like this one.
