Our final day in Tokyo, and the end of our three weeks in Japan. It was a long, walkie, eaty, expansive day. In the morning we shuffled with the hordes in the legendary Tsukiji fish market and sampled some of their products. Then we headed to the weird futurist Odaiba area before doing a 180 and strolling around a super traditional area (Nippori) full of temples and craft beer (my favourite area).
Japan is a country that blew me away day after day. Even though my life is in Madrid and always will be, there have been few places that I have been dreaming about going to for so long, and then had my expectations blown out of the water. Tokyo is amazing, Japan is even more so. I can’t wait to go back. Just wish it wasn’t so far away!
We ate:
Tsukiji: fish cakes, unagi, octopus on a stick, maguro
Yanaka Beer hall: edamame, sausages, smoked cheese, local beer
Kougetsuken: Mayashi Soba
Japan is life. Ramen is life.
Peace. x
