日本で訪れたいお気に入りの場所

This place is recommended for hardcore coffee fans and true coffee connoisseurs.

Nishimura Coffee was created in 1948 and it has the reputation of being the first coffee house in Japan to serve black coffee, cappuccino and coffee jelly. And now there are Nishimura Coffee located throughout Kobe.

Nishimura Coffee als prides itself of using Miyamizu Water, water pumped from a well that gives their black coffee a moderate but not so strong taste.

Their coffee shops are known for their custom-made coffee cups made at Arita’s kiln.

The coffee shop sells home-roasted coffee beans but also sells cakes, baked goods and more. And most important, the location continues the spirit of its original founding and that is to welcome everyone as if they are important.

hey everyone how you doing this is Kennedy what Kennedy this uh hopefully everyone is doing okay and uh we have a new section that we’re going to do on YouTube it’s called um you know my favorite spots in Japan um I’ll discuss pretty much anything um you know whatever you guys want to talk about best video game spots best restaurants best whatever I could talk you talk to you about you know when favorite locations that I’ve been to and hopefully you check it out so um first one we’re going to talk about here well actually for this one is we’re going to talk about nishimura coffee in Kobe you know um when I went on my coffee tour in Japan several years ago one of the locations that I was recommended on visiting is nishimoto coffee in Kobe let me go ahead and bring up another photo here and um you know I was visiting the Sonia location and I decided to Embark to nishimura Coffee in Kobe for good coffee but also to experience coffee from a coffee shop with a long established history it’s also one of the more traditional coffee shops that you’ll find in Japan with a different type of customer clientel that you would typically see at most coffee shops and uh because it retains that traditional style I really like that so nishim Moro coffee was created back in 1948 and has the reputation of being the first Coffee House in Japan to serve black coffee cappuccino and coffee jelly and now there are nishimura coffee located throughout Kobe uh nishimura coffee Prides itself of using mamizu water water putt from a well that gives their black coffee a moderate but not so strong taste see if I can uh find that you know you’ll see this one right here uh this little pump right here from their shop let’s see here let me get to their shop real quick there we go so uh pretty much um their coffee shops are known for their custommade coffee cups made at Adas Kiln uh the coffee shop sells Home roasted coffee beans but also sells cakes baked goods and more and most importantly the location continues the spirit of its original founding and that is to welcome everyone as if they are important uh While most of the beans are about uh 1,200 to 1300 Yen their Blue Mountain number one Caribbean coffee beans are the most luxurious offering close to about 7,000 yen or or a little bit more than that for 200 g and 10,500 Yen for 300 G uh while nishim coffee I went for nish’s original blend um while I wanted to try the Blue Mountain number one uh I think because it was my first time when I went there at the location I wanted to try the original blend featuring six type of carefully selected brain beans to bring out the maximum flavor and uh this coffee is more of a balance between bitter and sour um but pretty much um you know in Japan if you have coffee shops that are similar to America and the fact that you have young people coffee enthusiasts or hipsters that frequent um that do their work or hang out with their friends and have a good time this is a really good location to visit um when you go there you’ll see a lot of people just sitting there um maybe be for business uh or just for meeting up with uh friends and family um you know but there is a difference though uh Nish more coffee Sania Kobe location is a difference is that um you know I didn’t want to take a lot of photos in there because the location looked as if it was a location that was more refined uh business type people wearing suits and dress attire uh that I you know you you pretty much can get a feel when you visit these locations and and you know they you know like you know when people go to Kobe you know people are loud they’re chatting this one it seems like people they are chatting but people were very respectful of the tone of their voices and it seems like it was a little it was quite a quite Posh um people you know dressed up well usually in the morning and going to work in Japan uh men and women are tend to be dressed up for business meetings and for business attire for the most part but um yeah I felt the best place to take photos was near the cashier area or outside of the shop uh rather than inside because the the place is crowded there’s it brings in a lot of people uh but their most traditional and the classiest nishimura coffee shop is located actually in kitan nozaka uh looking at the interior you may think you’re at a classy establishment in England land in fact the K nozaka location was once a member style location when it opened in 1974 and it was a place where only the most of the upper class and even celebrities would visit uh the coffee shop was made instead of being members only it was open to the public in 1995 after the kobit earthquake um but uh it’s more of a classy location and even has a French restaurant inside uh the location I visited still is quite you know was still quite elegant and nostalgic um but I think if anything uh the the coffee shop that I went to has two floors uh if you really want to see the original you want to visit the nishimura coffee shop in Nakayama let me see if I can uh get a photo of that one here hold on hold on hold on yeah you can see how Posh it looks in there for nishimura but yeah the Nimar coffee shop Nakayama is a building create Northern uh Northern German style and was been rebuilt after it was destroyed by after the kobit earthquake uh that shop has like three floors and it was reopened back in May 2006 but one thing I found very interesting are the strict rules to enforce their dedication to Quality and freshness uh for one their coffee must be made with Mamu mamizu water and cakes must be made at 5:00 a.m. and no leftovers are allowed also the location only hires people who have trained experience working at coffee shops from the making of the coffee to the way the sandwiches are cut but overall I had a wonderful time visiting nishimura Coffee customer service was magnificent and it was interesting to see a different type of clientele than what you would usually see in Tokyo and also uh locations in America so I definitely would like to visit the place again so you can visit this at k-n more. JP I’ll have the link down below um but pretty much um yeah you can see the different locations right here this is that uh German style location see if I can uh move that over there we go and you can see how the location looks like um in terms of uh of how Posh and snky it looks I guess you could say but here’s another one here so it’s a different type of coffee shop that uh and this is the one I went to the Sania one which is a little bit more it’s not as Swank as these places are but it’s still a nice location and again a lot of people there in business attire but it’s a very beautiful location and the coffee is just really really good um I don’t I only go to Kobe When I visit for um well usually I’m in Kobe for uh for baseball because I tend to watch a lot of Japanese baseball but I’m also in Kobe been there many many times before but um not in this area uh I think for this area I went there mainly for the coob beef the steak just try it but um if anything I wanted to try the coffee at this location and I would like to visit the other locations as well uh so that’s one the thing you know being a coffee fan I do like to travel a lot for coffee um I guess you could say I am a coffee Enthusiast uh also tea Enthusiast but the thing is is that um I try not I I have a very uh strict rule when it comes to Coffee I used to drink a lot of it but now I I had to cut down mainly for Sleep um back then I could drink a lot of coffee but now I don’t um I guess there’s a word for it um usually when uh you know when people drink coffee they want that caffeine Buzz uh for some people the you know I guess you could say your liver the way your liver uh processes the uh the caffeine uh if you if your liver does it right away then of course you’re going to feel the caffeine effect right away but if it’s very slow then it’s going to take you know it takes a while and I started noticing for me that um Coffee started having I mean I drink I still drink coffee today almost every day but um I have to drink it in the morning because I noticed that if I drink coffee it has has a 12-h hour or not a 12h hour more like it’s it it there’s a like a delay of when the caffeine hits and when the caffeine hits oh my gosh then I can’t sleep so I had to pretty much uh you know do a lot of research and even talk to a doctor about it mainly just you know was there during checkup not like I’ve had any problems with it but the thing is though is that I just want to know why is it that lately that when I drink coffee it the caffeine Just Hits later and then I learned about uh the way for some people you know maybe through age or maybe your your status of your liver who knows it’s just that uh some people uh tend to have different processing of how caffeine is through their liver it’s through the uh I guess the enzymes and what whatever it is that’s in you know the how the body works but I have to drink mine specifically before 10 a.m. I don’t know how people can drink coffee day and night and still have a good night’s sleep because that is tough unless you drink decaffeinated but even with decaffeinated there’s still like 5% of CA you know caffeinated beans not you can’t get 100% but for the most part um yeah um I think that’s part of the joy of uh also of of wanting to try different coffee shops is the ility to travel throughout Japan and in places that you would never usually visit and I think that was that’s that’s what makes it special for me um a lot of coffee shops in Japan The Gourmet ones they’re they’re mostly like places where you walk in and you order your coffee and then you leave uh some of them are like really small shops uh some of them are really small cafes with not many not much seating so to find places like nishamura where they have full like like almost like dining setups you know just for your coffee experience that is wonderful and those are places they they tend to be rare yes there are restaurants that are geared Geared for um you know food plus coffee but this one is mostly about the coffee but you can order some uh uh food as well especially the ERT they have so many offerings there um in fact let’s uh see their menu right now kind of curious here’s the fa the famous nimura coffee right here and their special cup that uh everyone is you know this the place is known for it uh this one does have a little type of creamy usually um um uh but again in Japan most of times in Japan oh actually this is milk if I recall but most of the time uh with you don’t really get that it’s usually syrup so I wonder if I have a let’s see here no it just those that little the little milk right here but for the most part um yeah um cup of coffee usually goes for 700 Yen and um so this is the original nishimura original but this if you like ice coffee it’s about 700 Yen as well and then they have all these different ones that range up to 800 Yen so it’s not so bad in terms of price it’s actually very good but um but yeah definitely visit uh again there’s so many locations there’s a k nozaka gosh this place is just beautiful look at that my goodness and this one tends to have a French restaurant as mentioned so you could order French cuisine but yeah I’ll have the uh I’ll have the uh the link down below uh but for the most part again this is one of the older older sites I mean look at this this artwork here of the uh of the plays back then but for the most part yeah mimura coffee is just like the bomb it’s one of the uh the coolest places you can visit uh one of the um you know what let’s uh let’s see here let’s take a look at the video see what it offers here NAA motan for such a beautiful place this are the kind of ones that you usually see an anime of like really Posh drinking spots and there’s that well where they pump the water so one thing that’s very interesting is that you know usually a lot lot of places uh that tout the water as what makes their product special for example Philadelphia for their Philly cheese steaks people say the bread the bread is they have one of the best breads because of their water and with uh nishimura coffee again they prize themselves on their water and uh here is the uh the Kil that uh their cups are made very popular cups you know I one of the things I do regret I wish I bought one when I was there would love to have have one it’s motomachi location so many of their locations there looks like the S area a there’s a senia place that I’ve been too okay so the reason why I went to the senia area is because I was actually uh visiting the the baseball store for the um Team for the Kobe team of oric um Orcs blue Waves uh were what they were called back then now they’re known as Orcs Buffalo they were the Champs um for 2022 uh they also made to a championship but they lost against hunchin the Osaka team both of them are Bas in so Osaka it’s just their their stadiums uh but Co blue Waves oric they’re they’ll even though they play in Osaka they’re known as a KOB team so but for the most part um yeah I went there to uh to uh visit the oric stores that’s one of the things again I do is aside from just coffee I also travel to the baseball stadiums and the baseball shops um because I’m a big Japan uh mpb uh Neo professional baseball uh League fans so I do tend to go to those but yeah let’s continue m and they Pride themselves on their Bakery so they have a lot of offerings for their Bakery that’s so awesome e shim okay so that was uh nishimura um nishamura kohi in Kobe and I really do recommend it um my gosh again if you like classy coffee shops then definitely visit uh nishimura coffee um you know a lot of people are like coffee Jaan really you why why and of course there’s a lot of people who say oh yes their coffee is the best a lot of countries will claim their coffee is the best um but you know what that’s one of the things that uh the coffee Festival in Tokyo is really interesting because you get to see people from from different countries lay their claim to show their their best coffee for their country and um I’ve tried them all from uh Vietnam Vietnam coffee uh Thailand uh aside from Japan and the US um Australian those guys the Australians but I tell you um I think one of my favorites personally are coffee beans that are okay of course you know the ones from uh Kenya and uh um there’s so many other locations but I tend to favor uh beans that are grown on Vol volcanic um areas uh such as Hawaii I love the taste of the cop there’s something and not just um Hawaii but there’s other locations but um if anything um I’m a big fan of Geisha Geisha coffee and it’s something that I believe everyone should try in their lifetime it’s it’s a bit expensive there’s some you can get cheap but you know it’s something that if you ever if you are a coffee fan definitely give um you know Geisha there’s different kinds of Geisha but yeah just give it a try give it a try and that that will be your start of being a coffee um connoisseur right so if anything um yeah theur coffee and Kobe thumbs up up and also uh cof nice you all take care wink wink and as always uh
