In this episode of ‘How I Spent A Month Traveling Japan’ I take you on a two day tour of popular things to do in Fukuoka. I hope you enjoy and don’t forget to subscribe and like for more if you enjoyed it.
[Music] hey guys and welcome back to how I spent a month in Japan in today’s video we officially passed the 1,000 col traveled Mark with a population of nearly 10 million people Fukuoka is Japan’s fourth largest city there’s so much to offer here from its vibrant street food stalls to its beautiful [Music] Parks so come along for the ride and let’s explore this beautiful Town together well I’ve had a really long day of traveling and I made it to faga earlier so I’m going to head back to my hotel after eating but uh catch you guys on the flip side fuku oka’s open air food stands better known as yatai are possibly the city’s best known symbol a trip to Fukuoka would not be complete without visiting a few of them [Music] yaai can be found all over Fukuoka but the best place to find them is on the southern end of nakasu Island located in the middle of the city nakasu island has a long row of around 20 aai stalls that are attractively situated along the [Music] water went to about three or four of these things and let me tell you so much fun if you come to fukoka definitely come to the food stall [Music] today I’m heading to Hakata old town it’s right ahead of me so let’s keep walking Hakata Old Town prospered as the Hub of Fukuoka which at the time was the largest trading port in Japan during its Middle Ages roughly the 12th century through the 16th century [Music] as a Testament of the past this area exudes the history tradition and culture of that era [Music] a visit to this area will make your travel experience to fukoka that much more profound stroll down peaceful streets lined with historic temples and shrines [Music] [Music] so that was uh I CAU to Oldtown well let’s keep walking and let’s find some uh Fukuoka style Ramen so I think I found my Ramen Shop in the literally in the no middle of nowhere in Fukuoka suburbs just across the street on my way to get the really tasty Ramen it was a q so I picked up one of these guys lemon sour really good a lot better than strong zero in my opinion fukoka like so many other towns in Japan are famous for its Ramen Fukuoka style Ramen is made with Rich pork broth giving it a hearty rich flavor so this place is a little bit of a track from Maka station but if you’re definitely in this area please come to this Ramen Shop it’s so good like I can’t stress this enough that Ramen was so tasty so good if you’re in fukoka definitely get ton KATU Ramen and search out a place kind of like that [Music] I’m at theori Park here in puka I’m about to go check out some Gardens and this bridge that goes across the entire center of the [Music] park if you’re looking for a peaceful walk in fukoka look no farther than a hori park traditional Garden this is an excellent spot to just relax and take in the nature [Music] ohood Park is a pleasant park in Central fukoka with a large pond at its Center there’s the walking path around the circumference of the pond that is just a little over 2 km in length it is popular for jogging walking pets and leisurely strolls along its Coast now we’re at Park here all these big Bridges wow it’s so cool ohori is Japanese for moat and the the parks Pond served as part of the boat system of the neighboring Fukuoka Castle the park was constructed between 1926 and 1929 and designed after the classical Garden style of the West Lake in China there are three islands in the middle of the pond that are connected to the mainland and each other by elegant Stone Bridges [Music] oh wow there’s a big bass I don’t know if you guys just saw [Music] that almost Sun set here in PUK P Japan and I just walked across this whole land bridgebridge area it’s really nice [Music] wow so a lot of people come here to walk and Jog and ride bikes and stuff and I can definitely see why there’s a lot of people here doing it and it’s a really nice park and really pretty later that same evening so fukoka tower has the Halloween illuminations I’ll show some of the other ones but that’s bats and also has [Music] pumpkin as well Jacko lanterns [Music] so I’m going to get the ticket to go up to the G Tower [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] fukoka Tower is about 130 M high and you can see all of fukoka from this Tower it’s so cool so I’ll show you some more and then we’ll get going down the road back to my hotel wow it’s really cool they have a pin ball in fukoka Tower along with many other games including all these love lockers over here just briefly show that and then we’ll get on our way so all these are lockers for people that are like you know bfgf pretty interesting they look to be pretty full I don’t think anybody’s putting their locker there well there’s some empty ones [Music] there looks like you got gacha Pon over here also me message from the goddess of the moon there I don’t really care about that we got a gotcha Pond [Music] there wow so the fukoka tower is so much fun uh it’s not as tall as some of the other towers that I’ve seen but man once you’re up there you can see like all of Fukuoka it’s so cool if you’re in fukoka definitely go up the uh fukoka Tower just now leaving a fukoka tower and the Halloween illuminations are so cool I’m not uh that big into Halloween but I can definitely get behind the Halloween illuminations that’s really cool love it these really cool ceilings and tension ke so cool I just left my hotel and I’m heading to Kumamoto let’s go [Music] p [Music]

Good day~Long!what a stunning ,
Awesome entry into the series! Fukuoka doesn't seem nearly as busy or tourist centric as some of the other places and I loved the vibe
