for new French bakery lywood for Vietnam sandwich and Kirkland for Japanese desserts I’m going to take a break for a week as I’m heading to the largest Creator conference VidCon in Anaheim I will continue to find great eats during the event for all of you if you appreciate my effort in creating these videos and sharing my recommendations please support me through the buy me a coffee link below in the description so I cannot wait to show you what you should eat in Seattle this summer let’s go if you can only spend 48 hours in Seattle um you definitely need to try out this Bakery place in Bal Washington and um it’s 5 minutes before they open and there are already 30 people in front of us so this Chef is famous from U making a very excellent laminated croo so so everything that you see right in a croissant or queen am man has lots of layers so I’m going to try out the new flavors for spring and summer and then tell you uh what I think [Music] [Music] after 15 minutes we finally got all our drinks and pastry and this time I grabbed five and I can’t wait to try um every one of them so this play is um famous for using very high quality um ingredients and in some of this pastry if they use chocolate they actually use the Verona chocolate um so let me try the macaron so this is um a chocolate one but let me taste what’s inside I think the feeling I taste a little bit of raspberry M the chocolate taste is very strong and it’s the right consistency for the crispiness of the outer layer or the biscuit and the feeling is not too sweet and it’s just right when I’m in the shop waiting to get my pastry I’ve been looking at this for a long time now I can actually eat it so this is the matcha rice tart um as you can see right there’s some crispy Rice Crispy on top of the tart and let me buy into it and see what kind of uh feeling they have M wow the rice crispy is it’s crunchy and the matcha feeling is super creamy and the T crust is still um crunchy and everything is full of matcha flavor um this for me is definitely nine out of 10 for tart wow so as I bite more into the tart um I can actually taste the bottom of the filling and it’s um I don’t know what the taste is but it tastes like coconut but must be some kind of unique flavor from Malaysia wow this is so good W this one is called a croissant pull apart so I don’t know what that means is that I have to P it apart to eat it or they already pull the croissant apart so let’s open it up ah so basically the croissant I’ll pour apart into little chunk or little pieces so I can eat it um pretty easily and it has a lot of um like baked Crystal sugar and some um powdered sugar dusting on top I really love the pastry it’s not too sweet so this one the bottom has a little bit of um honey or um sugar glaze and on top right is a crunchy layer of uh sugar so it’s just a perfect combination of softness and um crispiness oh this one is one of their famous uh pastry called the flour so look they make the croo or the queen Amando into um 1 two 3 four five six Petals of flowers and I don’t want to eat it but I have to so let me pick up the chocolate and open the flower up ooh okay yeah do you see the layer wow I think this uh patient Chef he’s um an expert in making laminated um croo look at how thin and how many layers there are so I’m going to try this with the hazelnut um flavor can you hear it oh my God and there’s more chocolate in the middle wow this thing is awesome the last but not least is the croissant bapka loaf with cream cheese um I don’t know where to start but it looks super yummy but what I really want to show you guys is the layers on top I think I can actually play guitar or play music so let’s dig M the cream cheese feeling is super fluffy and at the bottom there’s a lot of sugar and cinnamon mixed mixed together in the dough M wow and the bottom is actually crispier than the top let me have one more bite wow this one is so devilish probably if you eat this it’s going to be like 1 th000 calories but who cares [Music] I continue my quest to find cheaper Foods in Seattle and today um is a weekend and we are going to have brunch or lunch at this place called Mama Molina which is very near the University Mall wow so my study is here which is the roasted cauliflower soup M it looks very creamy let me give it a taste wow they did a very good job because um it’s very creamy and I can also taste the roasted cauliflower um wow and probably they strain it very well because I cannot taste any kind of um cauliflower um bits in in the soup this is very well the margarita pizza is here M it looks so perfect look at the crust is Fluffy and [Music] thick jeez Mommy Mommy M it is very good wow they definitely does not skim on the ingredients it has a lot of mozzarella cheese M yummy cheese [Music] well today I’m going to take you to one of the most famous sushi place in Seattle which is sushi kashiba so shirro kashiba he is the student or The Apprentice of jro he’s like the most famous um sushi chef right in Japan so he brought nice Sushi to the Seattle area actually 50 years ago I’m very happy to bring all of you to the um restaurant today to see what is the freshest ingredients that the chef has picked and is really worth the $200 the appetizer is here already and um she was very meticulous in saying what we should eat first so I’ll eat the Sashimi first and it comes with um eloc tuna salmon and some other type of marinated tuna and she said I have to make sure that I grab uh Wasabi for each bite of the fish so I’ll start with the Ala that is so fresh and tender let me try the salon even though the salmon is not very fatty but it tastes really clean and fresh and I’ll try the last one the marinated tuna with a little bit of the seaweed so this is the second appetizer which is the Japanese tarot with some okra and uh squid let me try the Yen first or the Taro first it is so freeing and I was waiting for it because the baby squid has a lot of umami wow this is the last one which is bamboo marinated in miso oh what is this taste W it comes from the shisho pepper on top of the bamboo SHO M this is so refreshing I really love the order that they add us to eat appetizer because it’s just the perfect order for you to get started with like Omas in wow this is the second course which is the Toro Tamaki um they told me that this is a in-house Toro um aged for five or six days so it’s more tender and I have to eat it like like immediately or the um Nori will become uh zagi wow finally I can taste the tuna Taste of a sushi or Sashimi I think it it works really well similar to H uh steak this is a much better way right to eat um Toro this is my favorite dish which is um the giri with a lot of different types of tuna and other D other fishes so they said um I need to start from right to left so I’m going to start with the Ala cor tuna I used to buy some Alor Tuna from Alaska to make salad but probably this is 10 times better and this is the blue finin tuna the blue tuna doesn’t have a very strong taste but it is very tender and it just like melts in your mouth wow here’s the Toro I cannot eat any fiber so this Toro is very fatty and it’s very high quality I definitely need some ginger before I taste the macaron Macaro usually can be a little bit fishy so let me try try this one this one comes with a little bit of uh green onion on top it’s crunchy it’s super fresh and it really maintains the extra Taste of the Macaro because it’s not marinated with vinegar and some other um sauces the last one is flounder do you know what they put underneath the fish it’s a little bit of Plum so you can taste a little bit of the sour and it really lightens up the fish and it compliments so well with the fu Sushi um underneath this one is egg tofu with king crab and some Japanese parsley um so he told me um I should eat the tofu first and then drink the Dashi it’s very hard for me to describe the mixture of egg and tofu but it’s like um perfect marriage together and the King CRA is very fresh and it go so well with the Japanese parsley so now let’s um have the Dashi M even though it’s not hot in Seattle yet but actually having some K Dashi make it so um comforting and I’m ready for the next [Music] dish who doesn’t want more Sushi um so now we have six different pieces um this first one is um fatty salmon um and this one is sock ice salmon from Alaska and this one is the um shrimp the sweet shrimp and I need to eat this shrim head as soon as possible and then this is the blue fin tuna the Lim part but roasted or torched and this one is the belly part the Toro of the blue fin tuna and this last one is um the jumber jack with some marinated or fermented Wasabi so let me try the salmon first this one definitely is more buttery and fatty and has have a little bit more rasabi so this is the king salmon this salmon just Mells in your mouth okay next one the shrimp now I love shrimp so and look at the rice it’s so perfectly cooked is completely unnecessary right one even the shrimp Mouse in your mouth and it’s a super sweet shrimp let me eat the shrimp hat can you hear the crunch wow this is so good who doesn’t like tuna I think tuna probably is the the the best fish right to be use for sushi and um look at this this is so shiny so let me add a little bit more Wasabi I thought the previous Tor was tender this one is even more tender wow I can’t wait to try the Toro all right look at this sushi is so fatty and it’s torched for a little bit I can already smell it if I pay for $150 for this meal it’s definitely for this piece of um Sushi it is so [Music] good I didn’t know that there will be more Sushi coming um but this one is more Seafood so this is um Hokkaido scallop and this is also Japanese uni in green shell I don’t know what that means probably it’s very good one and the last one is the macarro so let me try the Hokkaido scallop sushi with a little bit of sea salt personally I love scallops and when I can eat um raw scallop with so much sweetness it’s just made me so happy and I’m pretty sure this one is going to make me happier because this is the oi this is suda and Candy I can eat that every day this should be breakfast lunch and dinner [Music] so to end the maal they have two sweet Sushi and this one is called the fried ew um sushi with some um I think sweet sauce the ew is very soft and it’s frying very perfectly because the batter is so thin and then this this one is the tomago but they said they added the mountain yam so it makes it super fluffy it is very sweet and to end the meal we have the tofu miso soup what I love about sushi kashiba is they don’t make anything too salty or too much soy they really let the fresh ingredients shine on its own and today I was very surprised it’s like over half of the sushi that they gave us um has the fresh fish or ingredients coming from Japan so let me know in the comments what is the favorite fish that You’ seen today for the OM and um what are some of the best uh Japanese restaurant that you’ve been to um in Seattle or in other areas that you live for lunch I need to introduce you to this place in lywood which is called yeah yeah we these sandwiches they have very good bomi which is only about $725 and I love the fur and it’s um one of the best broth that I’ve ever tried in [Music] [Music] Seattle when I come to Y and if I want a sandwich I always order the grill pork so look at this thing 725 and it has a bunch of grill pork um and I love their pickle um radish and carrot so let’s dig in uh by the way the uh Pond is toasted and it’s super crispy the grouo is so flavorful and Smokey and it’s a little bit sweet and the best part is the is the bread usually I don’t like fur with a lot of different combo meat and brisket is the meat that I always pick so this one um it’s still over $10 but it’s not that expensive right now is uh$ 1175 who knows right um because a lot of the other places that I’ve been to they are actually like4 $15 both right the first thing I usually do is taste the broth this is Savory and a lot of umami probably from the chicken bones or some other um special ingredients that they have um let me show you the brisket it is very tender and look they actually give a very generous portion of brisket so if you come to yya definitely try out the bami and the fur and if you come on Thursday to Saturday which they have a special broth and they will have um pork and shrimp um for the noodle so yeah that one definitely is a must try [Music] [Music] if you come to Seattle you got to visit the Capal Hill Neighborhood and we always want to grab some new Ramen um in in the area so this one is called Mana Musashi um I think they started in Japan back in the 90s um so this play is famous for their ukan which is dipping Noodle and they also have a hybrid Ramen which is a combination of red and black um sauce right flavoring so I’m going to try and um see if this is a great Ramen Place well before any Ramen I always order the guoa so this one looks pretty crispy so let me um dip into the sauce and try it the bottom it’s a little bit crispy but I would love it to be even more crunchy but the feeling is pretty fresh and the ponu sauce that they give is a really good balance to the gooa wow the sucan is year so I think the last time I had sukman probably was in um a different city or um San Francisco so I got the hybrid Ramen um or zukan so what it means is um there’s fermented FL garlic and some chili oil so the first step that they said is mix it around and I’m going to pick up some Noodle and then dip it even though I expected it’s going to be very salty but actually it’s not because the flavor is actually coming from the chili oil and the uh black garlic and then the broth has a lot of flavor and I think the base that they use is tasu so wow this is such a creamy base and um on the how to eat um pamphlet they said after I’m done with the whole noodle I can ask for some um clearing soup so I can add it to the thick broth and then drink it apart from the broth they are also famous for this thick cut por belly let me dip it into the sauce and give it a try wow it melts in your mouth it is so fatty M now it’s time for the soft boil egg this one I’m not going to dip because it looks like it has flavor [Music] already this is so much Umami and it’s very creamy I love it so [Music] much I’m so full and then to finish off they gave us some wari soup um which is probably a lighter broth um to make it really watery so I can uh drink it oh wow I think probably this play is going to take over as my number one spot for ramen in [Music] Seattle after eating some guioza and Yakitori of course I have to balance it with some Japanese dessert and this place in Kirkland is called kakigori and they serve um Japanese toes like Shuan bingu and um other different drinks so I’m going to try today and um let’s see um how good it is so the interior of this space is very nice um I think half of the stores actually is like a plant store so there are actual plants that you can buy and it adds a lot of greenery to the space and it has you can smell the fresh air coming out we got our first dessert which is the mango stick your bingo o this is so cute what is this oh man let me try the mango with the [Music] Bingo M sweet the mango is very sweet sweet and the bangu just have the right amount of condensed milk and there’s a side of sticky rice I’m not sure how to eat this with but I’ll just take a little bit and then have the fu yummy no oo this is the strawberry ACU drink with lii jelly let me give it a shake ooh it’s he says they definitely add a lot of yaku because the flavor is very strong and but I didn’t taste too much of the strawberry and there’s a a lot of lii jelly this is very refreshing uh this one is the mango yaku with mango jelly yeah yeah this one is definitely much better because the the mango jelly is sweeter and it balance with the yaku drink I really like this one wow this is the pandan lava shouan I’m going to see how lava this is M so there’s little small pieces of toes and some pandan sauce oh the pandan paste is very warm and the the brand also have some condensed milk and it brings me so much memory about this um my childhood because when I was in Hong Kong I would always try to go to a Indonesian restaurant and try to have some panan dessert and this is just like a perfect combination of a Japanese dessert with some um svast Asian flavor I’m so happy that I came to Kori and get some delicious Japanese dessert I must say the best dish that I love is the uh pandan lava shokupan because um the crunchy toast absorb all the condensed milk and then it goes so well with the panda like Mochi um Lava so um if you want some great dessert definitely check out this place
