New, Funky and a Great Vibe!

We stay 4 nights in this hotel that’s located in the heart of Namba, and a stone’s throw away from Dotonbori and its fabulous sights, sounds and food. It has a fabulous location, modern funky vibes, heaps of common working or leisure spaces to work or rest in and a great additional to the Osaka hotel scene.

I booked a standard room but with my ACCOR membership, I was upgraded to a larger room on a high floor as well as receiving complimentary welcome drinks.

This hotel only opened in December 2022 and the price was very reasonable. 4 nights cost ¥90,828 inc. Breakfast ~ AUD 230 per night.

The room was large and well appointed. Bed and pillows super comfortable and air conditioning quite and effective.

Breakfast was both Japanese and Western style and a large assortment of dishes to choose from, and was good quality. The coffee however was nothing to write home about.

I highly recommend this hotel.

hey it’s Maximo and welcome to maximo’s travels in today’s video we review the mcure Tokyo stay hotel in Osaka this would have to be one of the funkiest grooviest nicest hotels I’ve stayed in for a long long time so join me as we review This Magnificent [Music] Hotel we stayed four nights at the mcure Tokyo stay hotel in Osaka it’s very conveniently located a short walk from Doon Buri River Doon Buri Street and its fabulous eating area as well as uh the covered shopping street nearby and also very close to the Glo running man sign it’s a superb spot also very conveniently located within a 2 or 3 minute walk of a couple of different Metro stations the hotel has two entrances this secondary entrance is on the Main Street do Bashi kame Street there’s another main entrance just off the side street we enter into a ptoo which features an outdoor seating area and fire pit it was far too hot and humid for anyone to be sitting out here and i’ presume most people would be seeking the comfort of the air conditioned interior and while the entrance to the interior was quite inviting the interior ground floor Lobby and reception area was quite stunning this area was quite open and featured a double story wall of plants and flowers I’m not sure whether these plants and flowers were real or plastic but they certainly did look impressive past reception desk was a bar area and the bar area also had an area where you could purchase drinks as well as snacks the bar area was right adjacent to the main entrance of the hotel and the main entrance of the hotel incidentally was on the side street this is a new hotel it was only opened in December of 2022 and when we got here in September and been open for only about 9 months the newness of theel Hotel was reflected in the quality and space and just the general amenity of it it’s really quite an impressive hotel to stay at I was quite impressed by the common areas in the hotel on the mezanine level there was a very inviting lounge and billiard table there was also a uh quite light and bright uh eating area or work area that led off this excellent place to uh do a bit of work or just un wind after a hard day touring if you walk just beyond the bilard table there’s this funky gym that has weird purpley blue mood lighting and quite a few cardio machines I didn’t get to use this just past the bank of elevators on the mezzanine level is a restaurant and bar at night and serves breakfast during the morning after a certain time I think it might be 6:00 p.m. the bar downstairs closes and you uh can order drinks from the bar here upstairs this is where we had our complimentary welcome drinks all right so we have our complimentary welcome drinks Jun tonic and all I have to say is campie you can’t even see the drink on this table it’s like camouflaged the bar was fairly quiet and we had a very nice quiet drink we did actually like the uh atmosphere and Vibe of this place at night it somehow made it even more magical than it was during the day we booked this hotel well in advance and just after it opened because of this it might be the reason why we were able to get it at such a reasonable price for four nights including breakfast for two the cost was around about 91,000 Yen or approximately $230 per night Australian very very good value but I’m sure the price of this hotel would have gone up quite considerably since the time we booked it breakfast was served in the restaurant area on the mezzanine level one impression I got was that this area was quite dark for breakfast probably because of the uh the location and lack of natural light where the building is in terms of the selection of food it served both Western and Japanese style food um it wasn’t a huge selection of food but the food that was there was quite uh quite high quality uh Joe and I had no difficulty in selecting some tasty morels for breakfast each day that we were there the only one uh negative observation that I make was that the coffee that they served there was fairly ordinary it was uh bordering on instant coffee I didn’t like it at all and um I only had the coffee there for the one morning the rest of the time I went out and got a uh a better quality ground [Music] coffee we were given a room on the 13th floor the room was reached via very funky elevators each elevator had a different theme and a different color I’m not sure what this was trying to do but I think a drug user would find it very very difficult finding a vein in this elevator no two elevator rides were the same the next time we got in an in an elevator we got in the purple one it was a truly unique experience it just added to the funkiness of the hotel really and once you got out of the elevator you were confronted with the darkest hallway that I’ve ever been in in a hotel building we arrived at our room room 1313 talk about unlucky so here we are at the MC toku stay hotel in Osaka we’ve just checked in and we’ve checked into room 13313 dou unlucky uh but anyway Let’s uh let’s check out the room so as we walk in we have a safe and some storage for shoes and whatnot a little cupboard and we have a separate toilet it’s one of these electronic Japanese fancy jobs and there’re all the controls for the toilet there sometimes it’s St just working out how to flush the things we have a separate hand Basin and there we go we’ve got a couple of cookies um as welcome gifts and some complimentary water WiFi is free see coffee making facilities this is the the room itself as you can see for Japanese standards it’s quite spacious and lastly we have the bathroom it’s a traditional Japanese style bathroom so we have a shower over the sink no we don’t we have a separate bath and adjacent to the bath is uh the shower it’s the shower head there and um yeah I’m getting quite used to these Japanese bathrooms they’re quite nice I think what’s really nice is that the toilet is separate from the bathroom so because I’m a call member I have had an upgrade uh this is on the 13th floor as I’ve said and we’ve got two single beds stuck together there’s a lot of room um between the beds and the wall there is a very nice widescreen TV ample room for storage of luggage there’s a little table and two what look like to be comfortable armchairs and we have the view of Osaka it’s uh the windows got wire through it so that’s a little bit unusual maybe it’s a say thing interesting to see what this looks like at night but it’s a reasonable view of Osaka so that is the Tokyo Stay Hotel I’m looking forward to staying in here let’s see how comfortable the bed is ah yes very comfortable and I expect that the pillows yes the pillows are nice and soft as well so it should be a wonderful stay here this is a great hotel to stay at Osaka reasonably priced fantastic location new modern funky plenty of room in the hotel breakfast is good food was good very good feel and amenity I would highly recommend staying here for
