[Music] in this video I’m in Japan I’ve always loved Japanese culture and food but this is only my second trip to the Land of the Rising Sun my first experience in Japan was pretty mixed I visited in October time a few years back and was treated to a couple of days of pretty constant rain in Tokyo before heading down to Sunshine and historical sightseeing in the beautiful city of Kyoto this time I’m here with family and friends in the gorgeous Japanese summertime and we’ve traveled by plane train and car to get to the popular Resort town of caraza cheese welcome to caraza Kaza is about 180 km away from Tokyo takes about an hour to get here on the shinkansen it’s uh it’s in the Nagano prefecture prefecture um and uh yeah you couldn’t get much different from the bustling Hub of Tokyo when you come here come here you’re in nature the sound of kind of wildlife here and just is literally buzzing for our stay we’ve rented a family cabin at k kazawa sweet grass established in 1994 the resort is celebrating 30 years of operation they have a range of cabins on offer and although we’re not accompanied by any Fury Friends dog friendly cabins are available if you prefer a little more comfort you could opt to stay in a cottage on site or if you’re the outdoors type you could pitch your own tent and make use of the excellent facilities of the site k kazawa sweet grass is really great for families as there’s an excellent range of fun activities available for children kids can roam around the tree houses all year round sweet grass also arranges summertime kids activities like nature learning events water battles and nighttime Wildlife Adventures if you’re traveling without children and just want to relax and hear nothing but nature this is also a great place to stay the site is really huge and although we’re here in summertime it doesn’t feel crowded at all note though that Japanese school holidays are in July August time so I’d assume that would be a busy period kazawa is also busy in wintertime as it transforms into a skiing destination that’s popular with skiers from nearby Tokyo as well as International tourists M coming wow it’s a wobbly Bridge yes the wobbly uh whoa is wob I think it’s worse when you’re bigger I when you’re little you’re inside the [Applause] [Music] net oh another house another house up ah here cheese cheese I see at the PIP b top I see you with the pirate B the T I say you with the pirate B the T I say you the we’ve come in June and the weather is amazing it’s lovely and sunny but it’s not too hot and I think is a bit cooler than in Tokyo cities and um but with um kazawa um it’s actually if you come in winter time it’s a skiing Resort if you come in the spring or Autumn you see uh the leaves changing colors and things and uh yeah if you come in the summertime then you get the beautiful sunshine you want to put the stick in the water see if it goes down the water thr in the water does it come on the other side come this side this side it come out this side is it coming out no oh yeah oh there it is took a while sign behind me has uh this gentleman and some rocks and it says stuff in Japanese I don’t understand Japanese but I’m sure he’s a very nice man you wa you can see through the floor I don’t know how well you can see this here but we’ve got not one bath but two baths here you bath with a friend [Music] this interesting where are we good question let me in this is Lake Yama auka [Music] G Going on a bus ride today it’s a little bit different to your average bus this is naganohara yamb amphibious bus naganohara is a small town in gunmar prefecture not far from carawa sightseers arrive in numbers each day to take in the views of yamba lake and Dam the bus operates for 9 months of the [Music] yeah now narration for our tour was only available in Japanese so I did my own research on nahara after our ride the town only has a population of about 5,600 people but due to its popularity with tourists reports from 2020 stated that the town was testing an autonomous version of the bus now our bus had a driver at the front and none of our group was able to understand the tall guys narration so I’m not sure who or what was doing the driving we may have ridden the world’s first self-driving amphibious vehicle without even realizing it you’re dizzy I see the I see the friend in the w looks like a park where it’s a shopping mall how nice is this place so cool pet friendly Pet Paradise L Pet Cafe up ahead so this is actually the caraza prince shopping plaza just across from caraza train station amazingly this is actually a an outlet mall my son has spotted a playground so we’re going to go take a look see if you can jump on a bouncy castle or two oy you looking for this oh R where the car take a picture where the dinosaur take a picture where’s the dinosaur here dinosaur wao W uhoh go dinosaur dinosaur going to S I was going to S on you br R is this better than going shopping you like
