our morning doesn’t begin in coob but rather in Osaka because coob is only a short train ride away from Osaka making it a perfect day trip type of destination so we awaken from our accommodations in a capsule hotel which are rather popular over here and glorified by YouTubers everywhere but those YouTubers must be single because being married and spending a night away from your wife kind of sucks but if you’re into it capsule hotels are a pretty unique experience instead of a standard hotel room you get this little pod with a bed and a tiny bit of space for your stuff and then if you’re in Japan you could expect common areas to feature vending machines free Wi-Fi plenty of places to sit and of course the shared bathrooms are all immaculately clean and usually quite comfortable this one even had a rock xen garden on one of their top levels overall we hated it but maybe it’s a good option if you’re single or if you hate your wife our train didn’t leave until a bit later in the day so prior to leaving we explored a bit of Osaka this by the way is another big incentive for making Kobe a day trip you get to explore two cities in one day if you wake up early enough and plan it right in our case we saw the famed Osaka Castle which is a very Majestic structure with people constantly swarming in and out and around it you should definitely come and at least take a good picture of it get that in the time but in the hours till I reach the top nothing that will make me stop so today we made it all the way to KOB popular Port over here in Japan over by Osaka and the only thing that I really know about it is that supposedly they got really good steak I’m going to put that to the test right [Music] nowy I got the goal is to eat as much coob beef as possible today we’re going to try it three different ways starting with coob beef inside of beef Ramen headed to a spot called Kobe beef Ramen yazawa it’s got four stars on Google reviews and a couple of pretty awesome reviews let’s see if it lives up to the hype that right there that’s what it’s all about up I know it’s going to be all right cuz I got that energy cuz every day when I wake up I’m trying to be a better me I know [Music] good though I came into this wondering who is correct between charman and polyus and I chose charman the food was excellent the beef Ramen was great there was only a little bit of beef uh the Kobe beef sushi I had never even thought of trying something like that it was actually really nice overall a good first experience with Kobe beef but now we’re off to go get some kobe beef yatsu Les Rock but first we’re headed to nakim Bashi which is the Chinatown District inside of Kobe check it [Music] out so as I had said before Kobe is a port City and part of the deal with being that Port City means that they’re getting a lot of goods specifically they’re getting a lot of goods from the neighboring country of China because they get so much stuff from over there there’s a lot of Chinese people that have actually just moved over here and stayed here full-time and they established this cool Nifty little environment called Chinatown it’s really vibrant and one thing that you’re not getting through the video is the smell oh my gosh there’s food everywhere people are eating all over the place and everything looks [Music] delicious Chinatown is one of the more eclectic locals that we saw in the whole country of Japan the red accents everywhere along with the delicious food stands that you pass by every like 10 steps or so along with the strange abundance of students and young people roaming about it all made this place feel super unique hip and fun don’t visit coob without giving this magical little corner block a walk through very good where I come from Miami America America America oh authentic peeking duck is good there’s a big old shopping district over here called uh Mami Shen guy we’re here in Kobe and the next spot that we’re hitting is to try to get some kobe beef KATU and KATU looks like some sort of like breading around the meat not really sure we’ll film it and see what’s happening but in order to choose the next place I knew that I wanted the KATU I didn’t know where to get it from uh we were walking towards one place but we decided on another place um I wish I could tell you what the name of of it is but this is the name and I have no idea what that even says I don’t even know how to Google it to see what the reviews are but there’s a line outside so maybe it’s pretty good let’s find out [Music] so the experience at the restaurant had us cooking our own food on this little pan right here which had this fire lit underneath it which would heat up the food cooking it for you also served with the katsu were a variety of sauces and sides that are supposed to complement this really scrumptious meat now since the meat is served essentially raw you’re supposed to get that meat and cook it in the pan to your liking so that you could have it rare or medium or well done I mean you decide here and then you can grab bits of whatever you like to eat it along with and when you say that the meat is ready you can just go ahead and Chomp it up it is a whole experience and I was absolutely floored by it I did not leave even a single morsel on my plate all right so the KATU was absolutely delicious it tasted like beeken banalo from Miami which was interesting it just was breaded steak it was really nice really bold flavors especially with all the dipping sauces that they had definitely different definitely tasting like authentic Japan and definitely an enjoyable meal so now we’re headed off to a place called Mosaic take a look at KOB Bay if you travel down the busy streets of KOB far enough you will eventually reach the Waters of beautiful coob Bay which is adorned by some unique architecture and this very fun very large feris wheel it’s hard to miss since you can see it from blocks away and in person this thing is big enough to scare little mishy but with enough encouragement we can convince her to hop on board and enjoy these awesome views I convinced Mrs scaredy cat to come along like it why not scary what’s scary about it look we’re only like 100 fet up I think I’m afraid height a little bit we fly all the time not Terri I’m over at the top yep you sure [Applause] okay leaving the harbor now time to head to the final coob spot of the day which is Ishida so we can finally try the coob steak and then a jiggly cheesecake and then bonus round of jiggly cheesecake look teila guacamole wow we’re not here for that talula we’re not here for that as day turned a night we started having some bad luck so each that where we were going to try the KOB beef steak was closed so we had to come try another place this place is called Kobe beef dining moruya and it is the number two place to have Kobe beef steak according to Trip Advisor BR we are getting absolutely wrecked right now so once again the place that we want to go to is closed at this point we just have to find a place that’s open and try some freaking coob beef this is absurd look babe what about that place right across the street they say they buy the best coob beef in the [Music] [Applause] world and so are luck finally turned around and dog I was not prepared for the Epic Odyssey that was about to be bestowed upon my taste buds he look like an angel some people live their whole lives without trying stake this good and honestly that’s a damn tragedy If Heaven is a real place I guarantee that they serve Cobe beef steak they probably employ whoever the chef is that made this food or maybe the chef is just an angel in disguise I don’t know all I know is that this is one of the greatest meals that I will ever have in my entire life I would fly all the way back to Japan 15-hour flight do it all over again just to have this steak wow 10 out of 10 no doubt about [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] so Mishi walked into there and she ordered the cheapest thing on the menu which was very expensive and I ordered something that was a little more on the expensive side so that we could see whether there was actually a difference and there the difference was like jarring mishy steak was just like a good steak regular steak like a good steak good but very red but my steak oh my Lord that was melt in your mouth delicious Kobe steak is where it’s at now we’re in a bit of a rush to Catu train back to Osaka because although her first stomach is full she says that there’s a second stomach for jiggly cheesecake cheesecakes [Music] [Music] now it’s time to see what the jiggly cheesecake is all about [Music] [Music] and now that we have a happy wife we can have a happy life with cheesecake so you have to unwrap it for sure show it jiggly is that as much as it Jiggles yeah maybe it’s more jiggly when it like it’s there you know all right well I didn’t get this cuz it was jiggly I got this cuz supposedly it’s delicious so yeah people like make crazy lines for it all right [Music] I don’t know that I like it seriously uh what does it taste like like a very eggy it’s not even a cake I don’t even know I guess the best way to describe it is kind of like a very eggy spongy pancake I’m giving this dessert a one out of 10 I give it a two out of 10 it’s not good but luckily I have a backup plan cuz I thought maybe I wouldn’t like this so I got this special Mochi but right now it just looks like a regular Mochi I’ll wait till I take a bite that right there that’s not ice cream that’s a
