We’ve been on the Warner Bros Studio Tour before and love it, but we’ve never been on the Warner Bros Deluxe Studio Tour. The tour includes a 3 hour guided tour of the Warner Bros backlot (compared to the 1 hour on the regular tour) as well as a casual breakfast, fine dining in the WB Commissary, a snack and drink at Central Perk, a visit to the prop department and the costumer department and of course the self guided museum walkthrough experience.

Hello everybody welcome back to ordinary Adventures every time someone visits from another place and comes to La we tell them to go to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour it’s our favorite it’s so much fun and today we’re doing a tour that we have never done before yeah we’ve done the VIP tour over at Universal Studios we’ve done the VIP tour at Disneyland but we’ve never done the deluxe tour at Warner Brothers and hey who is that okay oh my God well come with me shall you join me oh my God join me shall you I look I look like I need coffee some coffee first things first I think it would be great oh yeah we’re also here with the nasty show if only we had some toast [Music] Pro tip when you first walk in there’s actually a Starbucks here and you can grab yourself a nice coffee to enjoy with you on the tour before your tour begins you can browse around this room full of Warner Brothers history if you really thought the sound stages were going to be a little bit bigger than this what I love about this is you feel like you’re a giant stomping around you feel like you’re King Kong or something don’t kill no [Music] so it turns out we didn’t even need to go to Starbucks because before the deluxe tour you go into a green room it’s a nice place to relax and they have a bunch of little breakfast items food some coffee they even have some soda and water and OJ it’s part of the tour you get one of these souvenir guide books this usually costs money yeah it looks like it does it’s cool on every street it tells you like what famous movies and TV shows were filmed there [Music] every stage [Music] I’ll recreated over 20 years I can’t remember what barcode is so out of the loop oh what’s the QR code it’s a bunch of photos of like the back lawn stuff yeah costume Department of post-production that’s cool that they give this I was gonna say for free but it’s included yeah we’re gonna eat a lot today snacks here we get a pristine meal later what do they call it fine dining I couldn’t think of the word picture didn’t know about the the VIP life yeah and I actually brought some toast with me and I spilled it right before we got inside so I was really excited to go to Starbucks and get some food but turns out there’s just a bunch of free food in here what a good perk yeah I got an Apple Fritter so it’s not like just like the basic continental breakfast stuff sadly the seats do not recline like you think they would it would be nice if I did this is a magical place I think that might have been the best rabbit in my life discover how your favorite movies TV shows are made nothing short of Wizardry we originally planned on filming a vlog showing you what the backlight tour was like but we were not allowed to film on the tour we’d filmed in the past Adam filmed in the past but for whatever reason maybe rules have changed or whatever yeah you were allowed to take as many photos as you wanted but for some reason not film so we followed the rules but we went so many cool places I’m happy we at least have photos to document yes so we want to tell you about this Deluxe Backlot tour and we want to tell you if it’s worth it or not so stick with us we saw a lot of the backline the cool thing about the deluxe Backlot tour is you get off the golf cart the tram tour and you get to walk around the actual streets yeah we went so many places because we’ve done this tour a few times like the normal tour and we went so many places that I’ve never been before and got to go in so many buildings it was awesome this little area right here is where Spider-Man and Mary Jane and kissed in the first Sam Remy Spiderman yeah how cool is that like being right next to that iconic location so iconic and one of my favorite movies is Gremlins same we have a dog named after Gizmo yes and in the movie at the beginning of the movie The Father goes down into the basement and uh finds the Mogwai and we got to see the actual stairs leading to that store that was from that movie so this is a look at what the like tram vehicle looks like it’s a few rows two people can fit two or three people can fit per row they actually have cup holders and you can actually bring those sodas and drinks yeah so all this the drinks and snacks and stuff in the beginning you could bring with you and just put in the cup holder so that was pretty neat I don’t know it was just really cool to walk around like this building right here is from Annie from an iconic scene in Annie also this this building right here is from Minority Report Tom Cruise was like climbing up the fire escape yeah they said that Tom Cruise because like he likes to do all of his own stunts he was just like constantly running around on that fire escape which I thought was funny our tour guide Tim was so knowledgeable like he knew everything he knew like every movie every TV show every nook and cranny of the back quad it was cool to have him with us because he didn’t seem like he was just like you know someone out of college that had been hired he like had a wealth a film and TV knowledge we actually saw one of the Annabelle prop dolls in one of the windows yeah it’s actually used in the phone it was very creepy it and of course from everywhere in the back lot you can see the iconic Warner Brothers water tower it’s where of course the Animaniacs live something about seeing that water tower is just so nostalgic for me I love it we got to go into I think that it’s called the jungle Backlot it’s one of the only jungle back Lots in any of the back Lots in La so it’s used anytime you see like something that needs to be in the forest it’s either a real forest or it’s this jungle back lot one of the funny things is they showed us this thing called the bush wagon which is a wagon that has like a bunch of bushes on it that they can wheel around and put in the background of any shot to like keep out any of the structures that are in the jungle bat quad that aren’t supposed to be in the scene and they also have a lagoon which has been seen in so many things it takes 12 hours to fill and it actually has heating coils underneath so you can actually stay warm when you’re when you’re inside there Daphne loves Pretty Little Liars and anytime the tour guide was like this is the from this scene in Pretty Little Liar she like freaked out she would like to be like oh my God it was awesome yeah but there is Adam taking a photo of her it makes me really want to watch Pretty Little Liars now you’ve probably seen this Lagoon in many TV shows and movies for me the most iconic scene is Pee-wee Herman he swung over the Lagoon with his bike in peewee’s big adventure I think the most famous scene for me is he said that Rainbow Connection all the close-up shots of like Kermit singing that song were filmed in that Lagoon and also what’s kind of cool is they will show you scenes from movies occasionally on the TVs in your vehicle so you can kind of like look at the location and see the scenes from the movies and TV shows while you’re like driving by it then we entered Warner Village which had a wig wag in front of it it’s that light thing apparently when it’s on the drivers aren’t allowed to go into it because that means there’s filming happening luckily for us they weren’t really filming that much stuff so we got to go a lot of different places this area is kind of cool because it’s almost like a New England town but only the outside of the buildings can be shot at they’re only facades it’s what they call them in the biz yeah The Insider offices apparently yeah so production offices for different movies and TV shows like we saw this one for found the found writers room it’s a new drama coming to NBC in 2023 even the office buildings on the Warner Bros back lot are used for filming sometimes they’re used for like a hospital scene from ER or whatnot an apartment complex or something here you can see there’s a bus stop in front of this office building There’s No Buses that’s just four possible filming purposes this right here is probably one of the most recognizable places on the Warner Brothers back lot it’s any Town USA it’s been used in Pretty Little Liars Gilmore’s girls you’ve seen in many many TV shows and movies so many TV shows I really wanted to get my photo and like Zebo for some reason I don’t even have any like connection to it all I was just like I need my photo inside this gazebo yeah yeah I feel like this is the closest I’m gonna get to Courthouse Square the the town center from Back to the Future because every time I go on the universal tour that section is closed off so this is like the Warner Brothers equivalent of that yeah it’s not as cool but I mean I guess it’s as cool as if you like I guess what I didn’t realize is they have so much of the Backlot there like I feel like they have a way bigger set than Universal I could be wrong but it just felt really big apparently Batman and Robin Mr Freeze gets married in that gazebo so I’m gonna have to go re-watch that movie zebra house from Growing Pains which is also a Mrs deagle’s house from Gremlins you got to see that we actually went inside Emily’s house from Pretty Little Liars and you can see here that the house is built out but above it is not so they can put lights and all sorts of stuff and if they ever need to show the ceiling they kind of have this roller that they pull out and kind of complete a ceiling so this house that we were in was actually Monica’s parents house from Friends iconic and apparently Rory’s house from Gilmore Girls as well Phoebe’s house is what what this place this Craftsman is called because it was also it was in Gremlin so she beats has from Gremlins and Phoebe’s house from the show Friends so I guess they call it the Phoebe house we went inside that and it’s a beautiful Craftsman building which has recently been used as a frat house for many movies but again look at the ceiling if you go on the regular version of this tour you will go around the whole lot on the golf cart and you’ll get off once or twice but here we got off a lot we got to go into buildings we also got to go into things that you don’t get to go on to on the standard tour like the costume Department unfortunately we were no photos were allowed in the costume Department it was so cool being in there it just went on and on and on and there was literally costumes for everything that you can imagine imagine a football field sized room and each row has is 15 foot hot Hive just here’s a section of caveman outfits here’s the section of fire fighting outfit Casino vest yeah it was like who knew that we needed that many Casino vests here’s a look at the Mill this is where they build all the sets and the scenic art Department that’s where they create any of the background art the prop Department this is another place that you don’t go in on the normal tour this was amazing this was we were some photos in here just if like they were going to be you in an upcoming show or movie we weren’t allowed to take photos of that for some reason but anything else we could take photos of so it was really cool yeah there’s 90 years worth of collection here I took a photo of some skull heads that were worn in Batman Returns they had TVs and Technology from all different eras because you know you never know what movie or TV show is going to need these lanterns right here are from inception like every room of this was it was like a cool have you ever been in a cool furniture store yeah it felt like a haunted like antique shop four stories big yeah we only saw like a small section of it yeah the size of football field four stories big this jukebox was using the Joker and also an Elvis movie we saw a bunch of Mr smiths in there that were used in The Matrix sequels probably for background when they had multiple Mr Smiths it’s kind of cool this was interesting they had a few different Tiffany chandeliers that are reported I think you said they were like a million dollars each all I could think about when we were in there is if there was ever a really big earthquake everything in that building would be damaged yeah I would not want to be in there like I’m sure obviously they have insurance on everything but it’s just like that would be really bad and there’s stuff in there that isn’t for rent so right here Adam is pointing up at this chandelier that was used in Casablanca and it’s not available for rent so any Hollywood production can go in there and actually if they have insurance and they have the money to rent any of these problems yeah so it’s not just stuff for like Warner Brother films like literally any Studio could go there and rent stuff I’ll say the costume department and the prop Department walking through those were probably worth the deluxe tour alone funny this is the house from Fuller house a tour guide told us that it was created because they needed it for marketing purposes so they took some photos and stuff it’s like yeah I like that it’s there and they didn’t like get rid of it it was cool to drive by yeah this Cafe right here is actually from Casablanca is the last remaining set from that movie so some film history I mean this whole lot is full of film history and it’s amazing like how much stuff got burned and they had to like rebuild it so it was it was cool to see right here is the school from Abbott Elementary this is another show that we have not seen but we’ve heard a lot of good things about if you look behind it you can actually see the hall of records from Batman Returns so they just like created this facade in front of the facade we also got to visit the the friends Fountain this this used to be at the Warner Brothers Ranch and that recently closed down they relocated it in 2019 this is not the real couch from friends no it was just a plastic couch to sit on for a photo op but I’d say it was totally worth it they wouldn’t let me dance in front of the phone though I asked yeah they said the fountain was like almost 100 years old or something and it was barely called yeah this location right here is an iconic location from my childhood I used to watch the Batman TV series and if you remember Adam West and Bert Ward would be like running up the steps apparently it wasn’t actually them it was stunt man because any action that required to run up more than seven steps required a stunt man yeah and there’s eight steps here then we got to see Wall Street which looks nothing like Wall Street they installed these stairs to nowhere because they needed it for I forget what show they said they were filming there but basically there’s Brown there and they can just open it up and install these stairs that go down but there’s nothing down there and when they film scenes because there’s not even a place to go they’ll have the extras going down the stairs and there’ll be someone down there a prop master or a costume person who will give them in another coat hat and they’ll like go down the stairs and then come up the stairs the same extra we’ll walk back up and you’ll never know the difference how funny is that I thought this was interesting the street has these scaffolding above the street can be used for lights can be used for other stuff but you’ll never see that in the movie because it never it pans up that way this right here is a Steven J Ross theater they have small screenings they have some small premieres there it’s used for filming again it was some Pretty Little Liars it was yeah but it’s iconic to the Warner Brothers lot you’re forgetting it was also in The Big Bang Theory and to the other side of that street is a set of Brownstones it’s one of the oldest parts of the back quad we spent three hours and 15 minutes walking and driving around the lot and at the end of that we went to the Warner Brothers commissary we didn’t eat with the plebes outside we ate in the executive dining room where they was called fine dining at Warner Brothers yeah so it was a little bit different than just like you know a buffet or cafeteria food you got a starter and an entree and they served you dessert so what did you get for my appetizer I got the Caprese salad this is actually pretty good I was surprised and then for my entree I got the Kobe Burger which was just okay it wasn’t really that good to be honest but I ate it because I was hungry yeah my appetizer was the soup which was like a curry soup of the day so it probably changes did that soup was actually very good I think what looked the best was the pasta dish and that was what Adam got Adam made the right decision I made the mistake of getting the chicken fingers which I apparently didn’t take a photo of they look like chicken nuggets that were burnt yeah didn’t look great do they taste better than they looked they did taste better than they look but were they fine dining no I don’t know if you put your pinky up I think it counts so we just we just drank everything with our pinkies up for dessert they had a plate of cookies and rice krispie treats and brownies but I would say you’re not coming on this tour to eat but I will say I was full we did actually get to visit the real Central Perk set and get photos there and the whole self-guided part of this tour I would say is another three hours it could take you upward to four or five we’ve been there before we did a whole video on a lot of this stuff yeah we’ll link to that at the very end so this you are allowed to film we just didn’t film that much of it yeah we’re having too much fun after that we went to the new exhibit which I believe opened last year again we did a video on this but there’s some new costumes and stuff there so over in the Batman section they actually had the Riddler costume that was worn in the new Matt Reeves Batman and then they also have the Batmobile which looks cooler in person like looking at that engine on the back it looks super super cool they also had Robert Pattinson’s Batman costume which is awesome and they had the new Catwoman costume which was also really cool to see this whole Batman area is like one of the coolest things that they could set up like a bat cave and has a bunch of props from throughout all the movies [Music] let’s see [Music] wow [Applause] [Music] oh my God so this is the forced perspective table most famously used and what are the rings makes the hobbits look smaller than I thought people could hear it makes Adam who also already dwarfs me looked like an even bigger giant compared to me so you said this is how it actually is set up this is what it looks like wow Dobby is a free elf yeah comfortable this is a weird Dobby [Music] all right oh I see you’re a Harry Potter fan thanks all right when it’s time to record you’re gonna hear some countdown beats and your script will appear at the bottom of the screen read along with the script you’re gonna do great okay picture is enough get ready to record all right Christmas time happy Christmas Ron what are you wearing um looks like you got one too I’ve I’ve got presents [Music] it’s wrong what are you wearing um looks like you’ve got one too I’ve I’ve got presents nailed it good job so after the tour you get to pick a free snack and beverage from Central Perk Cafe even though we just ate a full lunch but it’s included so we’re gonna do it and of course you exit through the gift shop and they got a Warner Brothers Studios spirit jersey which is actually kind of sweet it looks like they have a lot of new merchandise since the last time we were here they even have a few Warner Brothers bucket hats for Peter has the water tower on there I like that I like the store because it has so many things you would never see anywhere else like this Rebel Without a Cause jacket I have candles for writer actor director and producer what does director smell like not very good look the actor candle is made it’s made to smell like Broken Dreams if we bought a bunch of these they would let us videotape on them we maybe it says crew that is cool you gonna buy it yeah I’m kind of wondering if this might be too tight on me maybe it’ll force me to maybe lose a couple pounds which I won’t do or just sitting in a closet for a year until I lose weight again check out this spirit jersey for A Star is Born it’s got stars on it and it’s glittery is there anything that’s pure Jersey like it’s like he was saying where can you find another spirit jersey for A Star is Born anywhere in the world exactly right here at Warner Brothers we saw the water tower but we didn’t see these guys today yeah they didn’t pop out how cool is that t-shirt I like it look they also have a wallet the golden carrot award is it better than an Oscar s it must be I mean it’s definitely better than the razzies right sure and they do have some new merchandise from Matt Reeves Batman I actually like the style have I ever seen this Landslide before but I’m sure it’s not new here’s a Harry Potter Hogwarts is my home spirit jersey I saw these here’s some coins inspired by Harry Potter look at this one is that a Hedwig yes and it’s like fuzzy like an owl it’s so cute it fits with uh yeah anyway I love it they have one for like every single character so apparently they sell the biscuits from teleasso we don’t we don’t watch that but they also have a 150 wand that will control your whole house apparently and then we got this for free it’s 15. yeah yeah so I mean free we it was included we only took one I should have taken one I know we only need one we would have had two and it would have been worth 30. thank you thank you and I filmed myself giving a reaction for you sure yeah filming right there the deluxe tour favorite tour it was awesome we got to do so many things and I think total it was like five or six hours that we were back there including the food and all that sort of stuff so it was a lot of fun it was amazing I thought it was my favorite tour of the three tours I’ve ever done yeah I was a little disappointed we couldn’t film on it yeah because every time I’ve been here we filmed before but I followed the rules yeah I feel good about myself proud of you yeah yeah three hours walking around the block three hour tour our tour guide was amazing the meal was good I ate a lot and I’ll probably come back and do another tour at one point yeah they give you so much food for some for something so that’s a that’s a positive right yeah you’ll not leave hungry what did you think what did you think Peter I thought it was amazing I thought the prop and the costume warehouses were cool in in themselves we couldn’t show you guys sorry but like they were like football field wide full of stuff movie history 90 years of collection and we only walked through one section of his three stories yeah right let’s say three stories yeah at a dungeon which they call our basement they call them more yeah that’s cool I understand why we couldn’t film in the prop department for sure and I understand why we couldn’t film in the in the closing department and all that the backlight though I guess it’s hit or miss it probably just depends on what day you get here and because we did the high-end tour maybe that’s why I said the regular tour if it wouldn’t be any kind of issue well the great thing about the tour too is we got to get off the vehicle many times in many different areas on the regulatory you only get off like once or twice yeah we were on the back lot like three hours three or four hours yeah how many What’s the total six hours total yeah it’s just about like six and a half you kind of rushed through the the apartments we’ve all done that there’s a little hat though if you park on the roof you can look into the back yeah good call highly recommend this tour it’s expensive but it’s awesome it’s almost like a full day thing I wish we could have shown you a video if you want to follow our friends Daphne and Adam put a link to their their uh General description below the last time we were here we showed up fully they’re leaving us we should have full on of the exhibit we’ll put that right over there we want to say thanks to some of our patreons that include Kent Cynthia Lauren Scott and Taylor thank you guys so much thanks for watching guys we’ll see you on the next adventure

As an occasional viewer I appreciate your coverage and perspective, among the best on the west coast. Got to check in on the differences from Florida from time to time, and I love the backlot tours!
Where's Blondie Street? Bewitched house?
Thanks for showing the Deluxe tour! I'm always curious about those. I did the regular tour in 2022 and we got to do almost everything you guys did. We didn't get free food or go in as many buildings, but we got to wander the backlot a lot and go into a few facade houses and sound stages. We lucked out because our tour guide was amazing. I've been doing WB studio tours since the early 2000's, but this was the first time I had ever been in the prop department. The Friends fountain and couch photo op was new too. WB has stepped up their studio tour game 10/10 highly recommend. Also if anyone does do the regular tour just know it's a roll of the dice in terms of what the guides choose to show you. If you tell them you're a fan of a certain show most guides will tailor their tour to the group. I geeked out over Lucifer and while we were walking around she showed me their parking spaces that were still left behind. Haha
Sooo you guys are never going to update your intro video? 😅
The 1st season of pretty little liars is sooo good
When we went on the regular tour a few years ago, they had the actual coffee shop set from "Friends" which had the actual couch used in the show. We were allowed to sit on it and the tour guide took our picture. We accessed the set from inside the prop warehouse, which we were also allowed to go through. Across from the prop warehouse was another warehouse which in one side the had the Ford Gran Torino from the movie of the same name. Plus they had the R.C. Batmobile which was used for stunts, like when it was driving and flipping around in the parking garage scene. Next to it, they had a room with other movie cars in it, like the Batmobile you saw in the in the Batman exhibit, plus the Scooby-Do van and ofcourse a general Lee. I do think that either some of the houses on the lot were from the WB Ranch, and the fountain in the park used in "Friends" was also at the WB Ranch. It's good they didn't destroy everything at the Ranch. In those houses across from the town square, we got to go through atleast one of them and on the backside of one of those houses was the front for Uncle Jessie's house on the "Dukes Of Hazard".
On the tour we were allowed to sit in on a dress rehearsal of "The New Adventures Of Old Christine".
I'm sure they change the tours once in awhile, but in choosing which tour we wanted to go on was that they had the lunch break in the middle of the tour. It didn't seem worth it. I think we went everywhere you went on our regular tour.
One of my old customers and his brother grew up on the WB lot. Their father, personally hired by Jack L. Warner's wife, ran the executive dining room. They got to work as extras on lots of movies and TV shows. The brother became a well-known Hollywood make-up artist for multiple studios.
Thanks for your video, I love seeing all those studio tours.
that 1st building where spiderman kissed the gorl is the place on cover of Purple Rain
i remember watching the WB Water Tower Scene in Looney Tunes Back In Action Movie Where Daffy is causing brendan frazer's job and daffy drives the batman car and it hits the water tower and falls over
ive done the regular WB tour 3 or 4 times total, and 2 of those times included a visit to the prop department. so it's not always on the regular tour, but its also not exclusive to the deluxe tour. i'll have to try the deluxe tour one day!
now that ellen is gone, did they bring you to any active sound stage?
This is a great video, thank you for your hard work and editing on this one, and all of the other videos of course ❤️😊
That Woo Woo guy has been photo bombing everyone these past few days.
I remember sitting on a studio stage for The Gilmore Girls where they were holding us extras, then they brought in a tour onto the stage sung "these guys are actors." That was really weird to me because calling us actors, even though we were background actors, was kind of pushing it. I'm not an actor, really. I was just a dude like the people on the tour who probably had more money than me. Lol.
This was about almost 20 years ago.
When I took the regular tour we were allowed to film pictures only. That was about I said six years ago.
Why oh why does the ratty-haired broad have to be in this video??!!
I think norbit was film there
I went on a tour at a salt mine in Hutchison, Kansas. I believe it's the largest salt mine in the United States.
Saw some movie props, costumes (Mr. Freeze costume, Batman, etc.). I guess the mine leases storage (long term storage) to Warner Bros and other companies.
My husband and I are thinking of doing this, question for you guys. Is it $300 per person?
Twin falls Idaho
Just came from doing the studio tour plus which is 1 hour shorter, and getting to see the costume department sounds really cool!!! Wish to have seen that one. We did go to two sound studios instead of one so that was really cool 🙂
My wife and I booked this for early August after watching your video. Thanks guys you rock!
How much is it?
Thank you so much for doing this. We did the Warner Brother's tour this summer and I've forgotten 80% of what you're highlighting. It was a very good tour except we went when it was 92 degrees (felt like 100) and the amount of walking off the tram was kind of exhausting.
Ok….fine…l’m going back for this version of the tour!!!
You made me change my mind. I want to take the tour this week and thank you so much.😊🎉
Mr. Woo, & Natalie!!
We went on this tour last Thursday. It was great! We both said the $300 for both of us was well worth it. I’d recommend for sure. Oh and we had Ken for our tour guide and he was awesome.
The luncheon is just ok but that wasn’t the reason for going.
Did this tour 7 years ago and loved it.
must try thank you
