be able to enjoy your first onome visit [Music] [Music] hello H everyone my name is Cam welcome to Japan where Hot Springs known as onen are abandoned and deeply ingrained in the culture in this video I’ll be talking about Japan’s Onan culture and introducing the rang a traditional Japanese in where I stayed which I recommend for fast timers let’s start with some basic information about Japanese Onan from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the South Japan BS numerous Hot Spring Resorts scattered throughout the country Hot Springs come in various forms including Indo B outdo bth known as rotten b h birth ASU and even mixed gender birth in some t traditional settings public hosing facilities often have multiple bath with different minerals offering a variety of health and relaxation benefits in Japan even animals come to enjoy the hot springs for example in places like jigokudani monkey Park you can see monkeys soaking in the warm Waters it seems that they do appreciate the soothing effect of the Onan however for first timers visting an on can be a bit daunting you might be concerned about the etiquette of using public Hing facilities about being naked in front of strangers or about the need to cover your tto so let me introduce you to a place where even for first time on visitors can feel at e this place offers the opportunity to experience various aspects of Japanese culture including meals accommodations and H Springs all in one place you should be able to enjoy your first unseen experience without any worries and relax in a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere let’s [Music] [Music] [Music] bro after after flight of just over an hour and a half from Tokyo here I am in kakushima located in the southernmost part of kushu kagoshima prefecture is a captivating destination known for its active volcano sakurajima and beautiful natural landscapes now let me talk a bit about sakurajima one of the most distinctive creatures of Sakura Jima is its frequent eruptions occurring almost daily as one of the world’s most active volcanoes sakurajima is unique and the people live in close proximity to the volcano maintaining a safe distance from the crater this coexistence where the active volcano makes it a truly unique place in the world not only is kakushima home to sakurajima but it also has many other active volcanoes this volcanic activity has resulted in numerous Hot Springs often referred to as the kingdom of Hot Springs kagoshima B the second highest number of hot spring sauces in Japan visitors can enjoy these Hot Springs as well as historical sites like tangang and and delicious local Cuisine such as kobuta pork and satuma a fish [Music] cakes all right now let’s take the bus and head to the place I’m going to show you today where I am going it’s one of the famous hot spring resorts in kagoshima called kirishima on like didn’t matter [Music] youas to inv [Music] me finally got some inspiration again [Music] everyone has gotten off the bus I’ll be getting off here too this is a bus stop maruo and there’s a hotel next to the bus stop this is the one I wanted to introduce recommended for first time aome visitors I’ll explain the reasons later let’s go to the hotel right [Music] away you didn’t see this coming finally [Music] again here’s my room this room has name tubame it means swow this is Japanese style tatami room you get experience traditional Japanese culture [Music] [Music] n [Music] [Music] when staying at the Hot Spring Resort many people typically book a hotb brand the dinner is a traditional Japanese multia meal with seasonal ingredients the plan offers three options a basic Co a qua pork Co and a Wu beef course I chose the Wu beef course it’s time for dinner let’s go [Music] of course you can order drinks kakushima prefecture is famous in kushu for its Shu production therefore I ordered Shou on the Rocks the dis shirs are served one after another each dish beautifully presented and delicious it’s enjoyable to taste such a variety of ingredients there are also unique dishes like apple garden and tempura of white abs and this is a main dish wagu beef cook the meat and vegetables on the bed bin even each dish small they collectively bloard a satisfying feeling of fullness the breakfast features a nutritious Japanese style Meal made with local ingredients and it’s delicious you can have unlimited servings of rice the meals at this hotel allow you to enjoy their sh Japanese food and I’m very satisfied as well and now the moment you’ve been waiting for let me introduce the oan this hotel has five hot springs that guest can really enjoy the reason I set this hotel is Greatful first time on visitors is that all five of the on here are private this means you can enjoy the hot springs at your own paas without worrying about other people [Music] watching now there are two wooden cabins both are indoor type Hot Springs let’s check it out all right let’s go check out the next onen the next onen is different from the ones we saw earlier [Music] [Music] then the last H spring I like to introduce at an inter bath which you located inside the hotel building the inter bath is a typical bath but convenient as you don’t need to go outside I find it unusual that all the hot springs in the hotel are private bar and I really like this hotel the hotel introduced this time was myama hotel located in kirishima kushima prefecture there’s a small mall next to the hotel called onen icha with Sharps and restaurants in the convenience store laon is located at 2 minutes walk away the tourist attractions around kirishima Hot Springs where the hotel is located include Malo Falls with the scent of hot spring water Kish shima’s most famous Shrine kishima jingu and the onami ik crer lake hiking trail which leads to a volcanic Peak and Japan’s highest grer Lake the closest spot from the Hotel it’s Maru Forest which is just an 8 minute walk away for your reference here’s the room rate according to booking.com the hboard plan STS from around 200 Resturant for two adults and this includes a basic course [Music] dinner in today’s video I introduced a hot spring hotel in
