Trying 3 interesting instant food that can heat up without fire or hot water!

1. Black Truffle Fish Maw Chicken Soup
2. Nasi Lemak Rendang Kerang
3. Yu Xiang Rou Si (Fish Flavored Shredded Pork Rice)

In this video I bought 3 very interesting instant food! They are the Self Heating kind that can cook without hot water or fire! Our first instant food is a Chinese Herbal soup The instructions to setup It looks like a mini rice cooker! Alright lets cook the soup! Just twist it 360 degree! It starts streaming up in seconds! Now we just wait for it to cook A piping hot soup awaits you! Cooking this was so fuss free and it has everything you need! In the soup there’s chicken Fish maw which is a fish swim bladder Black Truffles?, Herbs And Logan For this type of Chinese soups, the ingredients actually don’t have much taste or flavor For their essences have been boiled to the soups itself It is said this kind of soup is very nourishing to your body Flavor wise it is just slightly sweet and bitter being low sodium A traditional soup in a high tech can! Hopefully it will nourish us from head to toes! Love its Self Heating feature! With its innovative twist! For our next instant food we have the tasty Malay dish, Nasi Lemak! For this we do need our own water Set contents First we add the Nasi Lemak Nasi Lemak means Fatty Rice in Malay and it is rice cooked in coconut milk Next we have the Rendang Kerang which is a spicy cockle stew I love Rendang but this would be the first time I be trying a cockle version Now we can start the cooking process with the included heating pad Though we need water with this, we can just provide a normal temperature one that doesn’t need to be hot The heating pad will swell up and start streaming within seconds! Now we wait again All heated up and smells so good! Now we have Ikan Bilis (Anchovies) and peanuts to add Then Sambal which is chili And lastly Keropok (crackers)! Our hot meal is now ready to be eaten! It looks so good! You really get what is seen on the box! Let’s start off with some Keropok Which are sweet and crispy crackers Now for the Nasi Lemak and Rendang! Mmmm! The rice is creamy and rich While the Rendang Cockles is flavorful, sweet and juicy In fact eating it with the chili and ikan bilis was perfect The mix of sweet spicy chili and salty anchovies goes very well together! So satisfying! A unique And delicious Nasi Lemak Hotpot! My final Hotpot is one with soup together with rice Set contents First up we have the rice For this the ingredients have the water included Next would be the pork dish packet And last we have the soup Which comes in a cute dehydrated cube form This uses the heating pad too for the Self Heating process Again we do need our own water for the heating pad Wow check it out! A rainbow has appeared! It makes a beautiful backdrop for our last Hotpot =) Mmm, it smells so good Lastly we have sweet dark sauce to add And our instant meal is done! A complete meal with soup and rice! The soup has some vegetables and egg While the rice has pork, wood ear fungus and bamboo shoots stir fried with a savory and garlicky sauce They were tasty and flavorful! A close up of the pork meat which come in strips Overall this was an enjoyable complete Chinese meal It is so nice you get have these piping hot anytime and anywhere!

Also, can you post on your description or a link on what your camera gear, software/apps or setup is? Been curious, thanks!

  2. Huh. Weird that the third one includes 2 pouches of water for the meal, but they didn't bother to simply add a third one for the heating pad, to make it entirely self-contained.

  4. One of my favorite aspects of many of your videos is when you warp time as things cook. ^_^ The many foods and items you demonstrate have been very nice for me to watch over the years. Thank you for an excellent video. 🙂

  5. That Rendang Kerang is actually a delicacy from West Sumatra, we called it "Rendang Lokan" … But yeah okay.

And also, nasi lemak = nasi uduk, no?

  6. Did you know the self heating boxes give off carbon monoxide. Managed to get a couple from my local oriental supermarket and each time I set them off my carbon monoxide alarm went off
