the girls have been requesting a Tokyo apartment tour so today the girls are getting a Tokyo apartment tour it’s going to be a quick one let me tell you though it is going to be a quick one because my apartment is really just one room but I’m happy to show you um how I’ve been [Music] living hello hello hello I hope you’re having a beautiful day wherever you are in the world my name is misaku andella and thank you so much for pressing play on today’s video I’m not sure if I’ve already mentioned this but I’m going to Thailand next month I’ll be there for I think about like a month and a half and then I actually have to go back to the States and then I’ll be back in Japan so this is a short-term rental I only have this place until the end of the month I wanted to use this time to sort of explore the neighborhoods I really love the neighborhood that I’m living in now but it’s pretty far from where my next school will be so I don’t think it makes the most sense for me to stay over here even though I really want to um and so yeah I just wanted to give a little bit of context I won’t be here the next there’ll be another apartment tour in a different apartment um this place came furnished which was super helpful it had everything I need like Linens towels kitchen supplies I went to Daiso to get a couple of things that I needed Daiso has been a Saving Grace we have Daiso in La as well but I don’t remember going like maybe I went as a kid but I don’t remember it being as as incredible as the Daiso stores are here um for those of you who aren’t familiar with Daiso they’re like Haku Yen shapu that’s how you say it in Japanese like 100 yen shops things are over 100en but it’s like the equivalent to a dollish store um but it has everything and they’re open pretty late um so between Daiso and the convenience I was able to get what I needed so let’s get into this apartment tour so right now you’re at the entryway also known as the GC con this is where you take your shoes off you put them in the cabinets and then you slide on your slippers and now that I’m wearing my slippers on this part I’m realizing I probably should have my slippers up here and I shouldn’t be wearing them on the part where my shoes go I don’t know but I love this part of the apartment because I I always take my shoes off I don’t think that we should be wearing our outside shoes in in the apartment cuz we’re stepping in so many things throughout the day so I I really like this feature um and I have my yoga / Pilates mat here as well and a full length mirror I also have a note on the front door that says a successful YouTube Creator livs here because I think it’s just a positive affirmation and good for me to see every day um one of my best friends cat has these all over her apartment and I really loved the idea I have one other one in the apartment that I will show you um but I wanted to make sure highlight this if you see cords behind me those are my microphone cords so this apartment actually came equipped with a washer but I go to the lroom mat to wash my clothes because I think it’s a good way for me to practice my Japanese the last time I went at A really lovely conversation with this woman named May and so I thought it would be good for me to continue going and I like getting out of the house and it’s it’s honestly faster to do it there for me too so I don’t use this I use this to store my cleaning supplies um because there’s not that much storage in this apartment here is like the trash system which my gosh I have no complaints this is not even a complaint it’s more of a complaint of where I am the trash system stresses me out so much because I feel like I’m doing something wrong um like I’m not separating it as much as I should be but I always like read the like I go and translate what it says in the trash room of my apartment to make sure because I know that it’s such a pain and a reason that a lot of um landlords even want to rent a foreigners because we we don’t do it correctly so I’m trying my best um they’ve done a really good job with separating within the apartment for me um and then I just go down like I typically go down early in the morning or at night so that I can spend as much time as I need in there like making sure I’m separating all the caps and the labels um and doing what I need to do to like to uphold my responsibilities in the complex I bought these things at Daiso to trap the moist cuz it gets a bit humid in my apartment I don’t know if you can see hold on you can see there’s water in there I have one in my closet as well and another one in the bedroom um and I do feel like it’s helping and here’s a closer look at the trash system this is my fridge freezer um stove top just one burner uh sink and where I store my dishes put like some of my kitchen stuff on top of the microwave um they have a tea kettle microwave this is inside my fridge uh very boring this hemp milk so good um a freezer down here put my gouache on there this is the little kitchen area the only thing I wish I had was counter space because I do love to cook and chop up vegetables but I just take my cutting board into the table in the bedroom and I’ll do it there but that is something that I’m going to prioritize in my next apartment because yeah it’s just something that I I would like to have and then luckily I wanted to make sure that the toilet and the shower are separated because um just because of the way the showers are here like it tends to get a bit wet in the entire room so it was really important for me to have a separate um separate situation this is the toilet I know a lot of people love the bedday system it’s not for me yet maybe I need to get used to it but I don’t love it and I wish I did um but yeah here’s the toilet area shower area um I keep like some cleaning supplies in here cuz I like to shower and then clean the shower also this is probably a crazy angle I probably look like a line in this clip I’ll give you a better look at the shower but you see what I mean like the I know you’re supposed to sit in the shower my friend Sarah taught me that but I don’t sit I stand so the whole shower gets wet or the whole shower room gets wet so it’s nice that everything is separated um and yeah you you switch like you turn the water from shower water to sink water I I know why I can’t explain this but like you just switch the knob depending on what system you’re using I mentioned this in another video I have this affirmation I understand you want to be loved and chosen I love you and I choose you every single day and it’s really helped me so I have this here um so I remember to say it to myself in the morning wait wait wait wait I’m not ready okay hold on also so professional um this is my bedroom it also has a balcony I’m not going to show you the balcony because I know a lot of people already know where I am based on my walking shots so for my safety I’m not going to show out of the window but this is it I really love it the bed is super comfortable I got this light for from Ikea I said between Daiso and the cinis I have everything I need it’s really Daiso Ikea and then the cominis here and there for like cleaning stuff but Ikea has really been great um and there are a couple that are near me so I wanted like I don’t really like overhead light so it was nice to find this nice little light to put on the table um and my closet is over here this is where I do most of my overthinking there’s a TV here it’s unplugged I use the outlets for my computer and my cameras but um I do want to get into anime so I’m going to plug it in soon log into somebody’s Netflix somebody’s my VPN and somebody’s Netflix to watch anime here’s another look at the room from my other camera as you can see it’s really not that big but it works for me there’s my closet um I’m not going to show you in there CU it’s a bit messy right now uh but yeah I’m really comfortable it has AC the material that the door is made of is it’s pretty thick like let’s see if you can hear when I open it I’m not too far off of a main road and like I feel like what you can hear when it’s open versus clothes I don’t know it’s it works it works I want to say my first month was about a grand I don’t remember the exact conversion I can put it on the screen and then because I had reserved my second month after I had already got here because I wanted to make sure the apartment was what it said it would be um so when I extended my stay the Yen had changed so my second month was cheaper than my first month um and it’s really nice that everything’s included the utilities the Wi-Fi um I’m paying less than half of what I was paying in Mexico City granted my apartment there was really um was was quite big and it was a it was an actual lease so I was paying for all my utilities and everything um but I was surprised at at how much I was saving by being here I have never experienced this level of Peace um like I just hav it I’m sleeping better a couple nights ago when I uploaded my last YouTube video the Wi-Fi here isn’t the fastest and my video files are huge cuz I’m shooting everything in 4k so last week the video was late because it it took took so long to upload so this time I finished working on my video around like it was pretty late here and I wanted to upload it before midnight so I just went out to an internet cafe I took the train I went there I was sitting with a bunch of Gamers uploading my stuff and I rode my bike back around midnight shout out to the person I I mentioned this in my first video who said that riding their bike through Tokyo at night was a core memory that was like my moment to have my moment so I uh rented a loop bike um it’s like if you’re familiar with jump or I don’t know what the other ones are called in the States but you like have an app on your phone you unlock it and my I rode my bike home and it was drizzling a little bit and it was just such a beautiful experience I’m so grateful and I’d never experienced anything like that so I was really just like feeling like a little kid I hope you enjoyed this tour of
