We are taking the Shinkansen Bullet Train from Tokyo to Kyoto

In this video Quincy and Meghan leave the luxury of princess cruises and make their way to Kyoto. They leave Yokohama and take the JR train to another part of Tokyo and from there they ride the Shinkansen Bullet Train to Kyoto.

The Shinkansen Bullet train is Japan’s fastest train and can reach speeds of 325KM and hour. When you are aboard the train and walking around you need to be a little careful as the train also moves fast on the corners and makes you a little wobbly.

The train has assigned seating and is very comfortable, there are not a lot of stops, the bullet train is intended for long distance travel and stops every 45 minutes or so in major cities.

The Shinkansen Bullet Train is fully equipped with washrooms, meeting/work rooms, phone, internet, vending machines and smoking and non-smoking train carts.

We found the Shinkansen train made it easy to travel from one city to another and the price was reasonable, it was around $300 for two tickets to Kyoto from Tokyo.

Originally from Vancouver, Canada we started an activewear business with nothing but a $5,000 credit card. Over 5 years we grew to over a million dollars in sales, and had our products sold in hundreds of stores, we were featured on Dragons Den, Bloomberg and much more! As the business grew it was becoming more stressful, and more expensive to keep up with the growth. In April 2019 we decided that we had enough and decided to sell everything and travel the world in search of adventure, happiness and new experiences. We started this YouTube channel to share our memories with family and friends, and even more so as a way to document our memories for ourselves! We are travelling FULL TIME as of June 2019, and we hope you will follow along our journey!
