now you booked a fight to Tokyo and ready to fight to Tokyo but you might don’t have much time to look around different information and find different videos so in this video I’d like to introduce you to Tokyo’s basic travel guide in 10 minutes Tokyo has two airports Nita airport and Hana airport depending on where you take the flight from you have a choice of either Hana or Narita or you have no choice usually Hana is closer to Tokyo City Center and more recommended but if you staying in ueno or Tokyo Station Narita is also convenient as it has direct access from Narita Airport Narita has two limited Express with reserved seats Skyliner and Jr’s Narita Express plus reasonable weight that you can get to the Tokyo City Center under 1,500 yen is access Express that connects haneda via asakusa shimbashi and discount bus Ty NLT that is running very frequently from all three ERS of night airport to Tokyo station directory and it’s only 1,300 Yen Han has monor to H station and KQ Line This is much closer to Tokyo but if you arrive in the evening sometime they only run slower local trains which takes time to get to the city center and very clouded limiting bus to Shinjuku or other destination are also good to consider in that case there’s no ride share up like Uber or grab fully function in Japan but it’s definitely easier when you have lots of luggage of mobility issues or need privacy from night airport it can be 25,000 yen to 28,000 Yen from H 13,000 yen to 70,000 Yen including express way fee in City you can use app of go up that are now available without Japanese phone number the price is not precisely predictable in Nance but it’s convenient that you can complete payment in the app and you can call taxi anytime if you enter Tokyo for the first time probably you have no idea what you looking at when you see the map the map is overwhelming and the map is different depending on where you see the map Tokyo has ja East train lines to Subways and about 10 private Railways leaving to suburbs which probably you only use when you go to day trips to Subs the key to understand the Tokyo Stam map is a big green Loop of J yamot line the loop is going around the Tokyo and the major terminals of Tokyo are on this line it takes one hour if you go around the whole Loop for example from Tokyo session to Shia if you’re on Y Line it take 30 minutes but there are lots of shortcuts like J line from Tokyo to Shinjuku and different Subways the basic rule of purchasing ticket is you can see the map above the ticket machine and find out the fair and purchase a ticket for that price you can also look up the price by the alphabet on the machine or sometime on the board the mistake sometimes I hear is you don’t see the station name of the different companies so to find out this route everything comes up precisely on Google Map as long as ts are running on time I don’t have a single experience that the Google Map was wrong in Tokyo in addition to Google Map it’s a good to try Transportation app so you can find out a little more detailed and easy to see screen about your direction the Google Map and transportation app are essential along with other Mass apps for any international travel like Google Translation and currency up something coment to get in Tokyo is I see car like s physical card is not on sale anymore but if you ask jail travel service counter they might carry one for international Travelers also there’s one like welcome sua and personal passport if you have iPhone you can use digital version of the sua you can just install it to your iPhone or Apple watch and charge with your credit card on the Apple pay now you can save time for the purchasing tickets but only Co of this IC card is there’s not really a function of the discount no perfect really in Tokyo right now but something good is metrop pass 24 hours 48 hours 72 hours tickets available but for the amount of the saving your I is restricted and you don’t see any views of toky from window if you’re on the Subways so that is something to consider if you have mobility issue or don’t like to go upstairs or have huge luggage good idea is to check the map on the platform one M of this is while you’re waiting for the train you can walk to the car near the elevator escalator so you don’t have to walk at the destination station or you don’t have to worry about going up the long stairs also some station has a fake barrier-free route that has escalator but stops in the middle so I know you’re in a hurry and easy to be flashed away in the crowd of moving people but stop once and spend one minute to check the map on the platform would save you later now let’s see what you can do during a stay in Tokyo it depends on your t but what you can do in Tokyo can be categorized to five attractions one is seeing traditional sites like seeing the Temple of seni and DOI and you see lots of different temples in weno park and second is to see Japanese garden like shinuk National Garden kiyosumi Garden it’s also good to see Tokyo from above Tokyo Metropolitan government building is famous as the free Observatory and Tokyo Tower is a landmark of Tokyo and sh sky is a very popular Observatory that you can go up to the rooftop and the Tokyo Sky Tre is the highest one it’s located in the north east of Tokyo so you can see the whole of the Tokyo at one gr so each of them are located in the different parts of Tokyo so you can enjoy different view the fourth categor is like going to the Museum of them Park Tokyo has a Tokyo Disneyland Disney sea and also digital art museum like team la borderless planets and if you are more interested in TR naal museums you can visit Tokyo national museum in weno park the fix category of Tokyo’s attraction is enjoying the citycape by walking around or sitting in the coffee shop or rooftop this is mostly about being in the big city of Tokyo and in Shia there are new Starbucks that you can Overlook the scramble Crossing in the rooftop of Shia par and Masa Park is also a good places that you can take a rest and in Harajuku harak and both has a nice rooftop that you can Overlook haraji area the most iconic places in Tokyo is subculture Center of Akihabara sitting by the udx building and looking at the building of the Akihabara would be a good moment to take a rest in the busy City for anime or movie fans other areas are popular as are OAS for gandam statue and Sh K go statue in addition to get around the places you can also enjoy the ride such as F on the mid R and you to get to your D area you can enjoy the view of Tokyo from different angle eating food is one of the biggest fun part of traveling in Tokyo Tokyo is the food capital of Japan and from reasonable chain restaurants to lur restaurant you can find plenty of good food Sushi SOA tempura and other Japanese Foods sometimes go for easy lunch for chain restaur like aoya and you can eat with other Japanese businessmen for basic Japanese menu like carag and cooked fish it might be also interesting to try Japanese sweet something good in summer is a shaved ice there is a place like this you can enjoy authentic green tea shaved ice it’s really a good moment of Japanese summer if you feel tired or intimidated to go to the restaurant all the time you know everyone has a moment like that go to supermarket or convenience stores and find some daily foods and eat in your room you don’t see trash box in Tokyo for that always carry trash bags you can ask or bu at convenience stores too bring it back to the hotel or until you find trash in the station or somewhere the hotel culture is definitely different in Japan the price is not as expensive as other major cities like New York or London but you might be puzzled by the size of the room but something well balanced between size of the room and price is something called Premier business hotel or lify hotel it’s usually located in the great location near stations and very clean and spacious enough to two Travelers for Sol Travelers business hotel might be good especially if you’re staying for a long time they have Land Machine and room is well functioned with Rich and small desk it’s like U you get a small base during your stay in Tokyo in case you are a person tends to feel the cluster phobia in the small space you might want to be a little to pay attention to the size of the room in Tokyo most places accept great card and some places even only accept cash L now but still having cash on Japanese Y is all always helpful you can use seven Bank ATM machine in 7eleven or stations to get cash or you can also exchange your currency at Han airport or night airport or in the city but currency shop is not everywhere in Tokyo if you have a chance to visit Shinjuku it may be good to go to the currency shops by Theo Yoko that you can look around different shops for the better rate Tokyo is one of the safest place to travel almost no scam but things happen and be care not to follow anyone even if they talk to you in friendly way this is about someone trying to take you to restaurant or expensive bars and there are lots of other nice people talk to you in English asking if you need help I also have experience that person looked lost and puzzled so I talk to if he needs help but I got hard know like almost go away probably those Travelers saw YouTube videos like mine so I really don’t think it’s a good idea to say how to no most of the Japanese people are just trying to help you even in central Tokyo charging for taking photos in a spot asking you money putting like a monk these typical ones pops up but disappeared quickly as it becomes a big news in Japan but as tourist to Japan increase we don’t know what comes up next so it’s always good to have a basic sense of the security during your travel if you have a little more time on your travel please watch my other videos about Tokyo
