so I’m here in Osaka at nakatu station which is the smallest train platform in all of Japan and it doesn’t really look like much if you look at it right here not until you see the sign that says please stay in between the yellow blocks and that’s only about 38 CM across it’s very small and it’s not like we’re in some tiny rural area of Japan we’re in the middle of the city of Osaka so it’s very busy and there are trains coming all the time it’s just really wild to see that this is still here in the hub of everything Osaka so let’s talk about Osaka [Music] today Osaka will always be compared to Tokyo but I think that’s pretty unfair while Tokyo is amazing and has the Grandeur of being the biggest city in the world the heart of Japan really lies in Osaka when you think of Osaka Osaka Castle is probably the big icon of the city the entire park here is extremely beautiful and has a lot going on do tomorri is another big icon with vibrant lights tons of restaurants and huge crowds All Along The dobur River it’s truly The Hot Spot of Osaka for a fun time this is honestly the center of partying in Osaka may be honestly the center of partying in Japan if I’m being honest but the real highlight in Osaka is the beauty of nature Japan has a harmonious relationship with nature that I’ve never seen really in any other Asian country there’s a tranquil energy to the parks and hiking trails and temples in Osaka that really help you relax if you’re able to head up the mountains to the Mino area of Osaka there’s beautiful hidden gems like ksoi with its beautiful Park and Temple just look at the colors on this thing not to mention amazing views of the city of Osaka Mino even has amazing waterfalls and hiking trails honestly I had no idea any of this was even in Osaka until I came here and I was so pleasantly surprised Osaka City also has amazing temples continuing that relaxing and chill Vibe you can’t get anywhere else the city is just so quiet and peaceful during the day just listen to how calming this is okay so you probably notice how Osaka is quite a shopping Wonderland with these massive Halls filled with all kinds of different shops if you’re ready to get the Real Seafood experience then head to Kuran Market a massive marketplace with some of the meest and juiciest pieces of seafood I’ve ever seen you’ll walk by countless displays of crab tuna and other sea creatures that you’ll go wow I didn’t even know you could eat that this is really Seafood Central here which if you don’t like seafood this is not your place to go but hey that means more Seafood for me no trip to Japan is complete without getting my three favorite Japanese Foods my Holy Trinity of ramen sushi and gilza luckily Osaka has incredible offerings for all of these dishes basically just look for any kind of local spot with just counter seating and a vending machine for tickets and you’re in the right place it’s also an added bonus if the chefs are cooking sushi or Ramen right in front of you it’s like a dinner and a show however you can’t leave Osaka without trying takoyaki these fried octopus balls are insanely flavorful a perfect late night eat especially with some chili powder on it and some green onions you just need to be careful when you’re eating them because they’re very hot but oaka is filled with amazing Foods I even did Shabu shaboo with some friends which was amazingly delicious and for all my ice cream fans out there you can get some of okanawa Blue Seal if you head to Korea Town Mochi and strawberry cheesecake goof groovy ice cream and kahori and next to the aquarium is milky soft serve blueberry Osaka is known as the kitchen of Japan so look out for any signs and you’ll find that there is food everywhere [Music] [Music] [Applause] did you eat [Applause] [Music] [Music] crbs [Applause] finish okay let me throw a word at you vintage [Music] [Applause] vintage has gotten so popular here in Osaka and I’m not just talking about the countless thrift shops everywhere there’s plenty of places selling old sports memorabilia there’s art housee movie theaters and entire Museum SL arcade of vintage pinball machines and guess what everything I just showed you is in the same shopping center they’ve even got curved escalators like Vegas Osaka really cares about collecting and is nostalgic for the past there are truly countless music stores selling all kinds of vinyl CDs and movies places that sell vintage movie posters Pokemon stores vintage Pokemon stores vintage toys in general you’ll be sad you didn’t pack an extra suitcase a great HD gem for vintage Gamers is PC and retro bar space station a bar with all kinds of vintage video games and a fun hole-in-the-wall atmosphere right in the heart of Osaka Osaka is perfect for any solo Travelers who love to explore this is a city that thrives on finding things on your own I’m pretty sure I just landed in Osaka’s Korea Town even though I love the doy area it’s what lies within and Beyond The Tourist areas where oh oaka really shines Osaka is a very beautiful and unique City it’s got amazing food it’s got creative and exciting Vibes here I love the nature it’s very clean very tranquil and the people here are very friendly oh yeah we’re here at the nakanoshima art museum here which is a beautiful museum with a Monae exhibit going on right now and kind of a blade runnery Vibe behind me you know Tokyo is always going to be a very special place to me that’s where Vlog Zilla started but Osaka has a very different and unique vibe that Tokyo doesn’t have where Tokyo might feel like a big Mega City future Osaka kind of feels like a big Japanese culture party where everyone’s super friendly and they want you to be a part of it well the only way to see it is you got to see it yourself so Osaka we’re out thanks for watching [Music] and bonus I mean you already know at this point it’s Universal Japan [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] baby I’m I’m finally riding a Yoshi wow
