The Sendai Aoba Festival originates from the “Sendai Festival” which began in 1655 and was revived in 1985 after 350 years had passed since the death of Lord DATE Masamune.
The scale of the festival has been expanded year by year as a community festival that everyone can participate in and enjoy. This is thanks to a folk performing art “Suzume Odori” arranged to be more easily danceable for everyone and introduced into the festival, after being passed down among the descendants of masons who were involved in establishing the Aoba Castle starting in 1600.
Today, nearly 20,000 citizens participate in the festival over two days, and it has almost 1 million visitors.

represent the exceptionally subsc Estis inherited from the date Clan the eve of this Festival is called yoi Matsuri and has vibrant atmosphere with many citizens group dancing the gorgeous suai suzumi odori the main day of the festival is known as on matsin so many food vendors around I was so surprised like guys I was so surprised to see that much variety that Cai had to offer maybe Japan as a whole cuz most of these Foods I think or people kept saying that you find most of these Foods only in syai so most of these perect have their specialty when it comes to food so there was so much to eat there was so many vendors there were foods that I’ve never seen before there were so many food vendors around this Festival actually brought a lot of members on site and because it was my first time I didn’t even know what to choose from and there were so many people around town I think it brings about 20,000 people together just for the dance so just imagine the people who are not participating but they are there to watch so there were so many cubes around and I didn’t know what to eat but I came across this amazing fried noodles which was my first time too and I I tried it it was good I had it with meat and it was so good so I wanted to try they had this specialty I forgot the name but I’ll put it on the screen for you guys to see which I wanted to try I couldn’t get a chance to try but next time once the festival is held once a year I have to wait a whole year to try this food again yes I wouldn’t go and try it anywhere but I’ll try it right in the festival season I over Festival that makes it taste so good for me yes so I can’t just wait to try it again and and it was so amazing to the fact that there were so many people walking around so many things to do kids playing and even kids were participating it was so amazing it was so colorful beautiful but I I think it’s kind of a festival that aligns with this Festival in Ghana called Anor in Tak the western region it’s also held once a year during December and it’s so amazing I think it’s the same cuz UNC course they dance to a song they play music and the winner gets a gift or a prize you know and here in Japan too saai the whole group gets a prize for uh good dressing for the singing the dance you know they get their prices too so I think it’s kind of the same but a whole different people you know so that is it I enjoyed myself and it was really amazing I’ve never seen anything like this before and I hope to to be prepared next year to be able to to to even participate if I can yes so I’ll just prepare myself ask questions and then I will join this part of the festival Al festival foods that I would love to try next year in May the 3D Saturday and Sunday of May that’s when IA
