This Photowalk takes place in East Park (東遊園地) in Kobe (神戸). Higashi Yūenchi is a tranquil green space in urban Sannomiya, around 700 meters south of JR Sannomiya Station.
The park has some memorial points of interest related to the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995. These include the eternal flame, an underground tribute with all victims’ names listed, and the fallen “Marina” clock with the time remaining at 5:46 am, the time the earthquake struck.
A local farmers market, Eat Local Kobe, is held every Saturday morning. There, you can find a variety of fresh organic products for sale.
I set my Ricoh GR III in P mode with a snap focus of 2.5m. The AE Metering was Multi-segment. I shot in JPG only (Reggie’s Color Negative).
I always show all photos, even when some should have been deleted, because I feel it’s essential to show the good, the bad, and the ugly (e.g., completely blurry photos) in my run-and-gun-style photo walks.
