welcome to Vlog number [Music] five my journey starts in the city of isahaya located 40 minutes east of Nagasaki I will travel along the private Railway of shimabara stopping at the 12 stop coas station which is right on the ocean and then six more stops to my primary destination Ami saki officially the closest station to the ocean in Japan I will then continue to the terminal station Shima Baro [Music] [Music] thanks to the power of editing here I am at my first stop coob [Music] station as you can see it’s raining again which is why I didn’t film out of the train window on the journey it’s hard to believe that omaki station could be any closer to the ocean although the tide does seem a little far [Music] out no trains inside but with the rain briefly stopping I quickly got out my drone [Music] [Music] I got the warning that the wind was too strong so I had to land it again almost [Music] immediately I plan to leave the station to find some interesting places to video from but it began raining again so I had to stay in the platform shelter waiting for trains to [Music] come with the rain stopping and starting I decided to take the next train that came and headed to omaki station [Music] fore fore spee spee fore spee [Music] a few stops down the line at coiro station I stood in the rain to film the train coming the other way [Music] [Music] finally I arrived at amisaki station [Music] with a few breaks in the cloud up went my drone [Music] again and then down came the rain again dispirited I put my drone away for the day [Music] amisaki station is famous not only for being by the ocean but also for these yellow handkerchiefs hanging on the rails on the platform yellow in Japan is said to represent happiness people write wishes on them and hang them up I tried to buy one but none were available that day I was told by another passenger that I had to buy them at the terminal station the rain stopped so I ventured out of the station I found this little bridge over a stream [Music] [Music] then onto the beach behind the station for a few shots [Music] we breaking the clouds so I went to the end of the station for this Arty shop [Music] [Applause] [Music] I quite like this little Crossing but before I could get a better shot it started raining again and I had to run back in the station probably I should have made my own yellow handkerchief and wish for some sun at this point [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] I did my Sund dance and by the evening time the weather had improved [Music] still raining and I realized I haven’t eaten anything since morning [Music] [Applause] [Music] hungry I found a nice restaurant a few stops down the line called Costa the vibe and the people were really nice they had a guitar so I volunteered to play little wink by Jimmy Hendrick I forgot half the chords and played so badly that the owner took pity on me and gave me a discount the next morning I was determined to get the Drone shots that had been denied me the day before but this was the view waiting for me at the terminal station [Music] oh [Music] I went one stop down the line to where the train depot is located and tried to decide if I should wait out the [Music] rain honestly I can’t see the rain stopping ever [Music] finally I decided enough was enough and headed back to Nagasaki where I spent a nice day looking at TRS that footage will be available in a future Vlog so stay tuned [Music] thanks for watching comment if you like standing on a platform in the [Music] rain like And subscribe and all that good stuff [Music] bye
