hey guys welcome back to the channel today we are in Yokohama and we are checking out Chinatown first of all and then we’re going to go explore some more of Yokohama we’ll bring you guys along so let’s go check out Chinatown [Music] [Music] Al [Music] she [Music] [Music] pap [Music] find so Chinatown was really fun to walk around hope you guys enjoyed that I’m over here at the Red Brick Warehouse it’s two buildings these were built in the early 1900s and they were just that red brick warehouses it is today uh like a shopping center and there’s restaurants it’s really kind of cool what they’ve done with this area on the other side they do lots of special events um right now they have like a German Village kind of set up I’ll show you what that looks like in a second but there’s also a cruise ship dock today so let’s look around this area [Music] [Music] [Music] Jesus did [Music] it [Music] [Music] for e [Music] [Music] okay so it’s pretty cool inside lots of like display type things going on this is the German Market it’s super crowded out here so let’s walk around and see what we can get close to and explore [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] I think I found my food truck it’s tacos and it says make tacos not War I agree with that so uh also told you that we have a cruise ship in Port look at this it’s the celebrity [Music] Millennium don’t know what’s going to be happening with those cars but there’s quite a crowd gathering around them the Millennium uh celebrity Millennium is looking pretty cool across the way uh we’re going to make our way to over to Yamashita Park and then maybe see if we can get a little bit closer to the ship I don’t know how close how much closer we can get to it than this [Music] also this Marine Rouge ship here is a dinner cruise you can also do that for lunch obviously you can see his daytime but you can hop on U make a reservation and hop on board there as well and do a cruise [Music] get [Music] [Music] up nice thing to do is just used this Pathway to walk all the way all around uh the harbor here it’s really quite nice especially today when the weather is really beautiful uh we’re still looking for Yam Masha Park so let’s keep walking if you’re on a cruise and it’s porting here in Yokohama you are in luck because there’s tons to do right when you get off the ship so this video is actually fairly helpful to you look at this place how cute is that right off the Passenger [Music] Terminal all right we made it to yamama Park it’s so pretty down here everybody’s enjoying it cuz the weather’s so great it’s golden weak so everybody’s out and about even though it’s like a Thursday um but yeah let’s enjoy this park and walk around kind of a little Slice of Life here in Japan in this park people just enjoying eating lunch walking and taking pictures of course so that one right there I pointed to is the international or the Intercontinental Yokohama Grand which is the hotel that we’re staying at if you haven’t seen that video here on the channel make sure you check out that room tour uh it’s got a gorgeous view of the city and a gorgeous view of that Ferris wheel and a little bit of the harbor uh it’s really quite beautiful but enjoy this view here [Music] [Music] that oh my goodness look at these beautiful garden this beautiful garden area so many flowers I’m obsessed [Music] [Music] all right so there is a marine Tower it’s kind of like a um it looks almost like a um an airport uh to Tower in the airport um but you can go up it if you like but if you’ve seen my channel before you likely know that I’m not a Heights person um I have yet to conquer it it seems to have a pretty good grip on me but if you don’t mind Heights like my husband he doesn’t mind them you could go up there it looks like there an elevator that takes you up and down see it right thereo this Tower here uh you can go up there but I’m going to go look at the outside of the Gundam Factory they did shut down the robot so it’s retired for life but let’s go look at the outside of it so you’ve probably noticed a lot of dogs in the video as you look around I feel like I’ve seen more dogs than children um I don’t know if that’s like a thing in Yokohama but it’s the one city in all of Japan I have seen an immense amount of dogs especially little ones there’s a big one that’s coming up here that’s about to pass me you probably see them right there uh but I don’t know what it is about Yokohama if you’re from here or you know what the big secret is let me know because I don’t know what the deal is with the dogs but most people have like two or three dogs and they’re pushing them in like the strollers and stuff like I said you’ve probably seen it the clips I’ve already shown you but uh super interesting so we just missed it by a hair which which is very sad but uh the building is still down here but it looks like they’ve dismantled the whole thing and it’s gone so that right there is the factory so as you can see they have these barriers up uh so this is as close as we can get but that’s the factory there and behind it it is the tall structure there is where you can see where uh the Gundam used to come out it looks like there’s a bunch of lifts and things like that I’m pretty sure they’ve taken the whole thing down it doesn’t look like you can see anything so it’s all gone but I’ll leave you this beautiful view honestly there’s so much stuff to do in Yokohama that I would recommend a lot of people say just 24 hours or just like a day trip um from Tokyo but honestly I would do at least 3 days here there’s tons to do and see and enjoy uh and it’s really close to Tokyo so you could even actually stay here and save a little bit of a little bit of Mone it’s a tiny bit cheaper than Tokyo but um it’s just really nice here so beautiful everybody’s so friendly and lots you’ll see tons of foreigners here so very similar to um in Tokyo as opposed to some of the other places that we’ve been on this trip here in Japan but with that said let’s keep exploring I don’t know what else we’ll run into here but this is all just really pretty look at that so this is the Marine Tower you can go up the hotel new grand is really cool looking kind of Wes Anderson outside down here the lower portion and then you’ve got this beautiful boat it looks like it’s a cruise ship there’s people on it walking around I’m not sure what it is but yeah anyways let’s keep exploring this area here gives me kind of a goe Vibe uh if you’ve been to Barcelona and seen his work there this is kind of cool with the with the the way the brick work is done and the stairs kind of beautiful looking so let’s keep walking around I’m going up a ramp here and I hear some music so I don’t know if something is happening but let’s head up the hill and see what’s up [Music] there fore [Music] it was some sort of an announcement but I have no idea what she said oh wow okay I’m glad we made it up the hill check this out guys look at how beautiful this is oh my goodness [Music] so the fountain starts up here and goes all the way down to the bottom wow this is such a beautiful area [Music] [Music] for [Music] [Music] so the Yokohama doll museum is behind me let’s go in and see if we can explore it and if we can videotape in there [Music] a [Music] so this part of the exhibit is dolls of the world and they’re split up by different parts uh it looks like this is Oceania and America and then Asia and Africa on the other side so let’s take a look at all these dolls [Music] [Music] oh [Music] the largest section is the Asian dolls [Music] so these here are World Festival dolls uh and they’re really quite Exquisite but the cool thing is these on this side are like Through the Ages like uh I think doll memory it says reminiscent of play with dolls in your youth uh 1975 through 2005 but look at this we had one of these and of course who didn’t have a Cabbage Patch doll right love that and then the Olympic ones from the USA ’94 I can’t read what these other ones say but let’s see this one is Saro in 84 in 84 I think it says and this one is 1980 I think we used to have one of those too I don’t know but we’re going to go upstairs and see some more dolls up there they got a lot of cool ones up here uh 1927 in 1952 on this side and 1953 to 1974 on this side let’s take a look at it Buddy Lee dolls here this looks like Mickey and Minnie 1930 of course SM White and the Seven Dwarfs Pinocchio no idea what that is of course our lovely Barbie 1959 The Three Little Pigs 196 1 and I don’t know what why the Beetles from 1960 are marked as USA But there you have it all right so we’re going to cross over into the collection mall they call it going to go over here probably looks like collectible dolls they look pretty cool so let’s take a look at those [Music] well that was a really fun kind of side Adventure it was pretty inexpensive only 400 Yen so just a couple dollars uh so that was fun just to walk around in there and just reminisce a little bit it was a cute little place uh let’s see what else we we run into today was walking and found this the North Korean spy exhibit at the Japan coast guard uh place here posting so we’re going to go in there and check it out uh there’s quite an interesting story behind what they’ve got in this building so let’s go check it out [Music] morning [Music] spe [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so it is free to come into the museum you just walk in and read the exhibit and walk yourself around there’s so many cool things to look at here but the coolest one obviously being the actual North Korean spy ship that they sunk you can see the bullet holes in the front there and they got the ship back up and then brought it here to the museum for us to look at and just uh also as a reminder e you can also see displays of some of the items that they found on the Spy ship sounds like the Coast Guard has had some work cut out for them with lots of spy missions that they’ve intercepted I think it says back here like over 20 [Music] [Music] [Music] see [Music] so apparently in order to disguise the ship they put this uh Japanese fishing ship uh kind of plate on it this white one um to make it look like it was a Japanese fishing ship [Music] [Music] these are some more of the things that they found on the ship [Music] this [Music] [Music] [Music] no wonder it sank so quickly you can see quite a lot of bullet holes we’re headed up the stairs to see what this pop looks like [Music] they even show footage of they’re showing footage in here of what it was like when they were chasing them down you can hear the the shots behind me it’s Cra Crazy [Music] [Music] all right well that was pretty cool very interesting and it’s literally right at the Port you can see the cruise ship over here behind me and this is the North Korean spine Museum so you can walk right over here free easy peasy and it was very interesting all right guys I’m back in the room I’m going to tell you about a couple more things I did not go to them today because as I mentioned before we are here during golden week and there are tons of activities extra activities going on as well but uh one of the reasons also aside from the fact that I’m not a fan of heights outside Heights um is uh the reason why I didn’t go to that Tower as well is because I have such a fabulous View from our hotel um as I mentioned earlier if you haven’t seen the uh room tour of the Intercontinental Yokohama Grand make sure you check that out here on the channel and uh you can see that I’ll show you you can see over my shoulder here a little sneak peek of that view but we also have a view of the ferris wheel and that’s one of the places where you can actually go down you pay some uh your money uh I think I want to say it’s around 700 Yen and you can go on the ferris wheel and on these rides here they got a couple of coasters and like some water rides and stuff like that and then there’s like another little fair right across from it you can go to that as well you just pay individually um as well there and the other place that I wanted to go to but couldn’t again because it’s golden week and tickets sell out several month months in advance but I wanted to go to the cup noodles um Museum which is just next door and it was just packed I was going to try to walk in and just show it to you guys his foot is so so full I thought there’s no way I’m not even going to get in the door so forget about that but if you are coming get some tickets online or don’t come during golden week and you can probably just walk in so hopefully you guys enjoyed coming along with me here in Yokohama uh if you have any questions uh leave those down in the comment section don’t forget to subscribe for more videos from all around Asia and I’ll see you guys next time

  1. Good morning beautiful queen 👑. Loved the hotel japan 🗾 is. Am amazing place. ❤❤❤

  2. Good evening. I am shocked to see the Celebrity Millennium is still sailing. I sailed on that ship in 2011 and I thought it was going to be retired it soon after my sailing.🤔🤔 I do remember the food being really good on that ship.
