Hey Awkventurers!

Because of the turbulent waters, we had to change from Jeju to Busan. I’ve been to Busan 10 years ago, and it was such a great trip.

I was excited to explore the same spots again, 10 years later! I had a lot of fun editing this video, since because of the Subathon I was able to find old footage from my first trip in Busan. It inspired me to make a new ‘revisits’ series where I’ll share the old footage and comment on it, rather than edit it as a full video as I used to do in the past. Let me know what you guys think of this idea!

Let me know about the food I show in the video, and if you guys would be confident enough to try something new! As always, thank you so much for watching and commenting!

See you guys in the next Adventure!

hey guys so today we are in day six out of nine on the Cru of a few hours six FL ban it’s my second time here let’s go hi my name is patina but you can call me a short frog Venture this is my first time going on a cruise with my family and I’m excited to share my first cruise experiences with you all so let’s eat good food go on exciting excursions and explore the Seas and new places all aboard the princess Diamond nday cruise dep parting from Japan day seven Busan South Korea it was a beautiful morning and the first thing I noticed was how interesting the land was I noticed so many small and Scattered islands around but also how the buildings seemed to crawl over the land like a wave we joined an Excursion so we met at the theater to discuss the Customs procedure since we were entering a new country we’re in bissan now it’s a beautiful day and yeah we’re going to go explore the place we are going on the bus right now for a half day two where we like got it last minute we weren’t even supposed to get it so we kind of got in like pretty much sold out we had to wake up just in case we could fit in at 7:00 in the morning and technically if we couldn’t we’d have to go 8:30 to catch a sh bu and do it ourselves which is really hard cuz the language everything it’s just so much easier going the tour and I don’t have to do anything which is great it was 10 years ago since my first and last visit to Busan and I remember seeing this View and being all struck by the buildings just as I was then Busan is famous for its beaches and has a Vibe similar to Osa all right so we are in song I’m going to go in the shade we in song do right now and I learned that do actually means Island so yeah and fun fact is Busan is actually the largest like Singapore soul and Busan but in terms of land mass it is really big Soo Beach was the first public beach in Korea opening in 1913 they revitalized it as a new Hot Spot and together with a nearby suspension bridge making it a top tourist spot in Korea I have to talk kind of close to you guys cuz I don’t think it’s working but um if you guys look at the footage you can see all the is kind of mountain so it’s because during the Korean War around 1950 to 53 people were looking the place to stay so they ended up going up and up and building towards up the mountain a fun fact the either in the world or Asia the top three tallest places like cond or living residences is in buisan number one being over 100 stories number three being over 70 so kind of fun back to see as we go and ban literally translates to the mountainous area like a bowl where you eat from don’t think I said that properly but the translation I didn’t realize until I got here but I actually was here during my first trip except it was at night when I went and we played with fireworks and I couldn’t appreciate just how beautiful it was the Skywalk though was built in 2015 a year after I visited so we are on the Sano cloudwalk so it’s just going here there’s a cable car only takes like 8 minutes but we’re not going to go in there today we’re just going to explore here and then go check out the cultural Villages and everything but the last time I was here was 10 years ago but I haven’t been here this one’s my first time and it’s a it’s a really nice day [Music] today I’m so scared that I’m going to drop something on my phone down here cuz it’s it’s open but yeah we’re in Busan it’s actually my favorite I visited soul but I like Busan more um it just seemed really chill it remind me of like OA in Japan after only an hour at sang do B we made our way to the gum Jung culture Village nicknamed as the Machu Picchu of Korea found this footage of me back in 2014 10 years ago in my first visit to the cultural Village let’s see what I had to say take it away PTO so we at the top of G cultur Village right now the view is really pretty you can see the ocean and all the vi down there and so it’s really interesting because this place is actually a refuge for cre people really cre a really hard time and you can see the architecture that still hold some of the past as well as contemporary forms of the architecture so it’s very interesting so it still has an old feel to it as well as the modern feel to it so it’s really nice to be here and it’s just a beautiful thing the last time I was here was yeah 10 years ago with Ash and Brett and we were joined by JJ who is Korean that I met in Kai gu so is my first time really traveling um with a group of friends during school overseas and we stayed at a hostel and ate the best Korean food ever and I loved ban we took a bus from St to bisan I just remember everything B on in nothing and so um so only shopping and so that I take that fact like makeup and stuff but um I love this area I remember going up the mountain and it was like going like crazy and we were so cramped in a tiny bus um so yeah let’s go explore gum Chong cultural Village actually arose during a painful history of Busan in the 1950s refugees from the Korean War fled up towards the mountains and settled and cultivated the area houses were heardly built on top of each other earning the Machu picu nickname and forming Labyrinth streets and lacking in basic infrastructure such as water and sewage systems so we are now in G cultural Village I was here 10 years ago see much a little bit different but this area is kind of like a restorative success oh sorry okay DJI listen up this is finally when I captured the moment one of many times when people stop to ask me what I’m doing and what equipment I’m using so this is when I start telling this guy about my DJI pocket camera and why I love it so much on my travels so DJI sponsor me where did you buy this thing oh this is a DJI it’s sorry I got stop because someone was asking about my camera but yeah it’s kind of like a success after they tried to restore it the Government tried to make it and develop it but the people didn’t want it CU they didn’t have money cuz people tried to they lived here but then artists local artists came together made it come to life and it’s actually voted as ca’s top kind of top places to visit for three consecutive years so definitely check it out when you’re in Busan um so it’s just a really fun little village with so many different stores it’s so colorful and yeah let’s go this is such a cute postcard store I just post outside this window right here it’s so cute um it’s really cute let me see if I can stick you guys out the window think you guys can yeah you guys are outside the window but such a very cute store with so many cute postcards I love it I highly recommend purchasing the local artist postcards here and then go to where I am on the second floor to send them off to your friends around the world I love all the art here in gtown cultural Village a lot of them actually won awards I went to one ceramic one with magnets and they are so cute I want to buy them all so yeah this is what like looks like the shape of a fish there’s like a lot of fish motifs in the village this was the short and real that I made showcasing some of the beautiful street art meat specifically for the gamon cultural Village Renovations in the area continue to improve while local Artisan volunteers work together to invite visitors from around the world with their growing through ART initiative so yeah I love them so you can rent some hbook which is a traditional Korean um outfit which is so beautiful I love the uh full uh skirt this is hot which is a Korean sweet pancake with Sesame it was my first Korean stet food in the Night Market back in 2014 I highly recommend trying it it tastes so good while walking around after getting it freshly made in front of you it cost less than $2 but make sure to bring Kore in W with you in this area just in case since not all places accept card but some may accept US Dollars there’s still a lot of people that live here like um residences so it is a tourist spot but people still Liv been here for a long time and long time ago that they didn’t even have washrooms and everything else so they want to change it up there’s so many different Alleyways going down you can super easily get lost oh man if I had more time I would love to make the this flip book it’s the only one apparently in the world look at that it’s very cute it costs $10 only a very book can be made quickly within 5 minutes oh that’s so cute how the background changes oh my gosh I love that if you like my videos please make sure to like comment and subscribe come all right so we’re at the first fish market right now and this is where I was 10 years ago where you can go to the second floor and eat whatever you choose on the first floor but we can’t do it today the boat leaves at 4:30 but we’re getting back by like 12:30 which kind of sucks this is why I don’t actually do tours they’re only great for the buses but yeah we’re going to go check out all the seafood 10 years ago was actually JJ who brought us to the market to the second floor which was one of the best things ever my memories and career was so fresh the seafood was amazing and like I remember just going and floating around and not planning anything so thank you so much JJ I really appreciate it you made Korea such a great trip the first first time you’ll soon know when you’re almost at the market since the smell of fish will overwhelm you but don’t fret when it’s cooked it’ll be worth it keep going these look these are the octopus and they’re alive trying to get out oh no so this is the galti market where you can get seafood and there’s another one here but this whole area is really nice you can walk down the strip and lots of stores too if I was your 10 years ago and it’s actually much more organized than when I went last time the jagalchi fish market is the largest seafood market in South Korea where you can get fresh fish and seafood to take away or get it cooked and eat at the informal stands it’s easily accessible and has a great variety of seafood check the video description where I put the market floor guide my favorite memory here 10 years ago was purchasing live seafood on the ground floor and just bringing it up to the second floor where they cooked it for you or you can just go into one of the re resturants but it’s honestly such a great local experience I know some of these guys look pretty funky but don’t let the smell or look of the seafood put you off please try it I think a lot of people wouldn’t want to try and choose the seafood here but it actually is so good you choose it they put it in a bag like what she’s doing they literally put it there they bring it upstairs they cook it for you um I know it’s overwhelming so it’s nice to go with someone who knows their fish very well or a local but um it’s really really so good you guys have to try it I know it’s not something you usually do but please do this is a thing that she said is translates to like a dog’s you know what it does look kind of you know fun fact these guys if served raw will continue to squirm on the plate until Eden J or Bon Petit so this is kind of like the area where we ate last time but I was on the second floor but they have a menu as well if you don’t want to choose the food yourself hello it’s so good let’s look at the M I’ll show you guys if you do decide to bring your food to the second floor for preping cooking there is an additional charge there’s also a seafood buffet restaurant on the fifth floor if you want to really try a little bit of everything it was after the Korean war that this area became a fish market you’ll notice that most of the people selling fish are women so the vendors are called jagalchi aimon which translates to middleaged or married woman in Korean while the men were fighting during the war it was the woman who took over the men’s jobs to help the country gr and when the war ended these roles that were once thought unsuited for woman became dominated and run by them it helped the men fish more and the woman helped the market grow I’m so sad that we can’t eat I actually am craving it so bad my stomach hurts so bad I want to eat the charcoal the grill squid oh I’m so sad about it I was here 10 years ago this is actually where I stayed in the hostel so 10 years ago it’s exciting um people think I’m crazy we’re talking to the camera but um yeah I was during the street down the street there was so much shopping I tried the nut the thing that I ate earlier for the first time during that down that street and all the makeup too [Music] this is the first time I walked on the streets and then I saw the makeup things and I was shook I was like Korean makeup is amazing so I love shopping here this is my first real Korean experience shopping and trying the street food so I remember all the memories it’s really nice so many food stands here I’m super sad that I don’t have enough time I didn’t even eat bubble tea which I love couldn’t eat like the waffle things cream cheese couldn’t eat anything it’s so sad and we could take a shuttle bus back at our own time cuz it’s only like 1: and the thing leaves at 4:00 we have to be there by 4:30 but um it costs money to take the shuttle bus it’s like almost 100 for all three of us well it’s free for the tour bus so that’s what we’re doing but I would love to St more I’m coming back I have to come back it’s been so long very interesting it is Mr healing couple friend date course Cafe and then we were back on the boat we ate some food at the buffet even before dinner because like I said I was starving and had not anything except the snack to fill me up all day took a nap before dinner after the snack so groy I dreamed every dreams so the boat’s going to go they’re just waiting for a few last passengers I wonder who missed the last thing cuz we’re running late um yeah we’re going to go get din there and I’m sad we’re going to miss a sunset going to see it from the window but it’s a beautiful day kind of want to go outside and see it and like as The Boat Leaves but yeah they have a dinner set like at 7:00 so we always have to make it for the first time this was a heavier Jam pack two her days and I was really sleepy and hungry shoot out the sule was okay but it was really only the vanilla cream sauce that really carried it the sule itself was a bit dense not too Airy and the flavor was very basic I still preferred the hot toffee pudding the best and again like the other day the best dessert during dinner was the butterscotch ice cream this is the sleet with vanilla cream inside and The View when I moved from Japan to Canada all subscriptions had to be cancelled and an announcement was put on 1. Lovely video, Busan seems like a wonderful place to visit with the culture and nature. DJI totally should sponsor you for showing so well what you can do with their products! Past Awk had a great taste in hats.
