well good morning Long Beach California got a big day ahead of [Music] us just like that we are back at the airport in Long Beach going to grab a rental car and then I think we’re going to hit a pretty famous uh breakfast spot that Carl’s Jun no no something else here we go Rosco’s Chicken and Waffles we did we did the name chicken and waffles and then we’re trying their biscuits and gravy yeah this is uh this is nice this is good there that was a pretty solid way to start off the day that was at Rosco’s Chicken and WAFF waffles this place was established in 1975 uh chicken waffles the gentleman established the restaurant brought it from Harlem and you name it the who’s who of the world has eaten here and a lot of times people just go to places because of the hype and the food doesn’t live up to the hype uh the food lived up to the hype uh yeah it’s going to be hard to top that experience today but uh there’s a lot of iconic food here in Southern California we are in Long Beach right now and we’re going to make our way into la play for our next adventure I don’t know what we’re getting into what do you think of chicken the waffle Steve well it was great it was easy to get in and out of nice uh nice Decor inside it was really really wor worth it worth it worth everybody worth it Sizzler worth it definitely Sizzle worth it two Sizzlers up all right we’re going to get on a [Music] road all right I don’t know where we’re at so we just parked in the Madam to Wax Museum parking garage we’re on Hollywood Boulevard 25 bucks to park there and then we scrambled to find a restroom old guy problems uh but now we’re here so see if you recognize this spot it’s the Dolby Theater like I don’t I isn’t this don’t they do stuff here don’t they have like award shows do you think this is where they have the home of the Oscars okay yeah guess so oh America’s Got Talent yeah Dolby Theater yeah so I think we’re in for a whole bunch of surprises but uh we’re going to hit the streets we’re going to hit Hollywood Boulevard we’re hoping to find some interesting stars on the Walk of Fame and some signatures this kind of a cool feature again I I guess this is some Mall attached to the Doby theater but they’ve got all of the pictures of the Year immortalized here the HT Locker Slum Dog Millionaire let’s see uh oh that’s cool they even have spots for movies in the distance Oppenheimer hard rock yeah check this one out though all those are Years yet to come quick quiz what was 1986 picture of the [Music] year that was a great movie Platoon hey a better look at the stairwell in front of the Dolby Theater seems to be very popular very popular for pictures I don’t know do do they red carpet this are like do people walk by the coffee exchange and the Hard Rock to get to this the venue there’s got to be a different way to get there I think I have a new life goal I’ll be a 100 years old in 2071 it would be great to see what the picture motion picture of the year is that would actually be cool uh to have a close that Loop and come back to LA in 2071 course popping out you got some stars on the lock of Fame George Eastman wow so you got the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Victoria Secret Angels right here in front of the Dolby Theater then across from the Adobe theater you got Jimmy Kim alive first you have Hollywood sightseeing you see these Hop On Hop offs all over the world and uh it’s nice to know that they do Hop On Hop off right here at Hollywood Boulevard we got Billy Bob thoron Harrison Ford Martin landal foris Whitaker oh wow Matt Damon more movie trivia which movie featured both Matt Damon and Martin landow as well Damon was the lead but landow played a huge role oh wow we got Bobby Deval here and scorsi Bobby Bobby Deval Steve’s a little annoyed with the uh colloquial uh reference to Robert Deval wish Bobby Dido she should be around that’s Lonesome Dove show some respect show some respect for Robert Deval it’s so wild it’s just like names on the ground but you’re like oh look at this this is amazing oh I know this person’s name but uh yeah there’s like a little bit of electricity down here on Hollywood Boulevard at least I don’t know it seems exciting to me Couple Comedy icons here of course Gilda Radner and grou chill [Music] marks there’s all kinds of museums and stuff to do you got the Hollywood Guinness World Records right across from the Hollywood Wax Museum all right here it is here it is now rebranded the TLC Chinese Theater but this is the original man’s Chinese Theater here on Hollywood Boulevard so many famous movie premieres here Hollywood Walk of Fame and then you’ve got this whole area here where people have been immortalized with their signatures and their handprints yeah let’s take a take a quick Walk This Way Hopkins Rock Hudson Jean harlo wow Carrie Grant Jean Wan Jean Fonda Jack Nicholson holy moly how cool is this Edward G Robinson no mo why hang us J Crawford wow Jimmy Stewart Peter cers Tom Hanks wow Kim Novak Danny K Douglas [Music] Al again so many things like no matter where you travel to it’s things that you’ve seen in your head that you’re now seeing in real life I can’t think of how many of these ceremonies that I’ve seen with people putting their hands down into the concrete and so it’s kind of cool to actually see it w look at these two right here so Marilyn Monroe Sophia Loren Charlton hon it just keeps going Steve McQueen and then the cool thing is they’ve got they actually have this photograph of Marilyn making that impression uh yeah this is cool and this is it doesn’t cost anything to come look at this either Kobe Jerry Lewis uh Robin Carl Riner Vin Stiller I’m Batman I’m [Music] Batman I’m nerding out so hard this is so cool oh my gosh we got Donnie wall buggers mocky mock or that other brother I think his name’s the one that runs wall Burgers never had a wall Burgers the Roosevelt Hotel up here Steve do we dare try the fruit I know this fruit looks a little different looks like a lot of one yeah I don’t know the top yeah mad pretty cool The Rock Kobe everybody’s represented here it’s wow this is another one of those spots where everything’s so visually stimulating you don’t know whether to look up or look down uh let’s hit a couple more stars go into La La Land souvenirs this may be the biggest gift shop I’ve ever been in this place is huge La La Land I think any kind of Hollywood type souvenir you could possibly want is here that’s right cheing wow look at this powder blue Elvis and powder blue Cadillac guess I should check a price on this it’s I mean it’s cool to see all of this pop culture stuff but what is the price Oh look The doab bides let’s see it’s 25 bucks 25 bucks for a t-shirt I do love that kiss shirt up there that’s nice wow Spidey wow now this this is a wall of posters holy moly how many posters are over here what do you got Stephen oh JC’s your man the man in Black Man in Black you to hold I’m not suers stitious I’m a little stitious sounds like a mitch headbird joke actually I think that is a mitch headbird joke somebody took a mitch headbird joke and put it on the off I somebody fact checked that but did Mitch Hedberg say I’m not superstitious but I am a little stitious I don’t know maybe it was a rer for the office right across from the lunch boxes another wall of posters more posters than you could possibly put on the wall wow well that was classic remember the movie Moon rer all right so just figured out we’re within one mile of a place I’ve always wanted to go so we just hit the restrooms again like I said old man problems and now we’re uh getting ready to hit the Streets back to Hollywood Boulevard but we just came into this Center Courtyard where the Doby theater is it’s like a mall too let me show you this place wow it’s like multi-level shopping and dining the Lowe’s Hotel those were what my best friends as a kid Ben and Jerry it’s a horrible joke the cousins over there days B that’s right G Deli Disney Studios Thor el capiton stupid waffle conb smell I guess I got to show you the store wow the smell coming out of this place is uh sweet Ben and Jerry yeah so we’re certainly backtracking a little bit Ripley’s again but I want to give you a better shot of the First National Building here in Hollywood nice huge love this building it seems so out of place but so not out of place at the same time time all right we got about a about another half mile to go like I said lots of stuff to do here it’s another Museum it’s down from the Hollywood Wax Museum you got the Giants house the upside down the Giants the Museum of Illusions and we also have a Taco Bell and a Starbucks that out Charlie chap what is it what is it well it’s a Taco Bell Cantina see they serve like beer and stuff yeah margaritas so you can get your favorite Taco Bell and it’s kind of like a bar it’s pretty wild at this Pat Marita what’s your preferred Pat Marita Happy Days Pat Marita or Karate Kid Pat Marita so appoo you got Lauren Michaels and one of the longest running cast members since I didn’t I Keenan thomps I said it’s so stupid it’s just names on the ground but it evokes so many so many memories wow the whole universe Larry David Tai in here Cheryl hind Buster Keaton the mile seems so close on the map but uh it’s not like I’ve been walking for a long time and I I don’t even see what I’m looking for but we press on well half Pine how far did you think it was to the next destination G paw I thought it was close I thought it was close the Boulevard of Broken Dreams Hollywood Boulevard look we’re almost there but I I think I got to stop for coffee and you know where I like to get coffee at I like to get it local you savages the intelligence your coffee what you guys think Starbucks losers just a black cold brew but a a nice uh break got about a/ quar mile left to go to the next destination um yeah let’s coffee up man that coffee hit the spot and then it’s wild you round the corner and you see the thing you’ve been wanting to see that you couldn’t see from the car Hollywood baby Hollywood now this looks like the spot to get your drink on scum and villainy wonder what the food’s like there what do you think get a burger from scum and villainy or would you like a slice from sinful Pizza a taste of sin wow I like extra cheese in my pizza I don’t know what’s going on over there that’s that seems like a lot oh is this Donaire at first I thought it said Doner Taco which I thought was incredibly insensitive but it could be Donaire don’t hair theater here look like it’s showing the girl from the North country music and lyrics by Bob Dylan that’s pretty cool wow I don’t know how to say it that’s why I’m not saying it Pantages Hollywood Pantages girl from the North country and Mrs Dyre Peter Pan it’s across from the W Hollywood Burger getting close Alexander Hamilton Alexander Hamilton Duncan respect we made it uh look again this isn’t quintessential Hollywood but this is a a big feeder of my nerdiness let me show you this Hollywood Funko California there’s only two of these stores one in Everett Washington one here in Hollywood I’ve been to the one in Everett and so uh yeah I was within a mile so I got to I got to click this one off I’m interested to see what they’ve got inside wow nice little Marvel representation to start you off wow I know him we work together what movie was that from this place already has a different vibe than the Everett store I’m not buying Funko I’m not buying Funko I’m not buying Funko it’ be so cool to have some like a big big fig like that though just one big Funko I love this little Marvel area very cool interesting they got all the different exclusive here exclusives Walmart Target I’ve seen Amazon already so it looks like you can pull it all together at the Funko store Star-Lord wow yeah there’s an Amazon exclusive real question is if you get this Groot and water it will it eventually become this group big Hagrid Ursula the The Little Mermaid wow okay you guys ready for this one the big reveal the Hall of Justice man this is cool it’s kind of weird like obviously they want you to buy Funko but this really is an experience because you can see all of these all this theming which you really can’t see anywhere else Elsa got to let It Go Let It Go Elsa Let It Go oh my gosh is this sexy Jeff Goldblum Dr Ian Malcolm this place is massive stranger things Game of Thrones the whole horror section Rick and [Music] Morty all right so we’re in the Star Wars section this is super cool we got the whole collection of bounty hunters having a little drinky drink of course uh no bounty hunters are complete without Boba Fett and then of course the Epic question who shot first Han or greo classic arcade Fair Pac-Man and his ghostly friends oh yeah Kool-Aid man look at that wow Pillsbury doboy Chester Cheetah [Music] that’s wild Marvin the Martian [Applause] ah this is cool this is a customization area where you can on the screens down there make a Funko that sort of looks like you there’s limited customization options but they’ll you can pop yourself basically which is uh pretty cool pretty sure that this has something to do with the local fish restaurant I think that’s where they make the Taris sauce Taris [Music] sauce all right that was a cool one to check off of The Bucket List um about a mile and a quarter back to the car May grab a quick Uber cuz we got other places to go SG yeah Anthony hey how are you good how are you good good man yeah this is perfect all right so we’re back at Madam tuos but we just uh I think we took an Uber for about a mile and a half which only took about 5 minutes question is what would you pay to avoid that walk back from Funko what do you think we paid $100 $50 less what would you pay all right so we were going to jump in the car and go to our next destination but uh we’re going to make one more trip to the bathroom like I said old may have problems look kids it’s the Dopey theater again just for reference so you come past the Dolby Theater and then the restrooms are to the right I don’t think we showed you guys that all right the Silver Lining to the restroom dilemma is we stumbled across a whole another set of uh Footprints and signatures at the theater here’s the having the bladder of a toddler this is pretty cool we got Kevin Smith and Jason Muse We Got The Advengers and the man himself stand the man Le trying I’m trying not to tear up this just yeah this was the spot wow turned right out of the parking garage and here is the world famous Magic Castle of course for you Cruisers you know that uh on the new Princess ship there’s a Magic Castle sponsored of dinner invite only Magic Castle very cool passing the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and we’re on the Brea heading for lunch any guesses where we’re going oh yes you guessed it world famous pinks hot dog a Hollywood Legend say 193 9 look we don’t even like hot dogs but we’re doing it for you by you I mean me which of these legendary hot dogs would you try man these are so good look ones paging Dr Pavlov I’m salivating paging Dr Pablo I feel like I knew a lot of stuff about Betty White but I I’m a little surprised that she likes her hot dogs like this naked Betty likes it naked rip Betty White CHR got an epic an epic Wall of Fame here guy Steve Martin guess everybody’s had a hot dog here at pinks Tim Kardashian Brian Cranston we’re dining in the shadow of the Stars oh what the heck I blocked myself off Steve how do I get oh I’ll just go this way all right there were a lot of exotic choices there but I feel like I chose two that would fairly well represent the hot dog Community Carl Riner W the Brando is somewhat matured as I was working on the Carl Riner we have a melting of the cheese it’s kind of like when you open a bottle of wine and you let it you know airat and stuff that’s that’s what you got to do with a chili dog you come to me on the day of my daughter’s sweating and you want to know how to make a famous Brando hot dog these aren’t the things for Michael you you’re the you’re the leader of the family tell them what am I doing look at this wow great little Vibe right here behind pinks digging it I’m digging it well that was good another item ticked on The Bucket List uh but more bucket list items to tick the day is Young it’s about 3:30 p.m. but the day is Young we continue on well it’s that time of day where we look at LA traffic math 6 miles 30 minutes look sometimes you got to suffer suffer to get to where you want to go all right so we’re here at the Griffith Observatory but not actually quite here there’s not a lot of parking up by the observatory there’s some paid parking along the road but there’s free parking at What’s called the Greek Theater and then there’s a bus that will pick you up so we just parked the car and now we’re going to wait for the bus that runs every uh 10 to 15 minutes all right so we just disembarked the bus and well uh this is pretty amazing here we are Griffith Observatory wow Hollywood so of course the observatory great views of the city but it’s also a planetarium and I do believe there’s telescopes out here that you can use too I don’t see those yet but looks like you can get up on top of the building is it operation [Music] W so we’re out the East Terrace exit of the observatory and Sun continues to burn off the smog a little bit another looking downtown LA place is free so you just got to get up the hill you can hike up the hill you can get paid parking you get up the hill you can do it like we did and park for free ride for free they do have planetarium shows 10 bucks per show I think we’re to check one of those out 5:15 but yeah cool cool cool stuff so the telescope is on the roof it says free admission I don’t know what you can see but uh we could see the telescope this Dome contains the Zeiss 12in reflecting telescope reflecting telescope 7. to 900 p.m. yeah so telescope open for nighttime viewing uh it’s between 700 p.m. and 900 p.m. I don’t know if we’ll be here that late it’s not thank you thank you this is try comfortable I feel like we’re on a rocket ship ready to go to space okay that was uh that was pretty cool presentation I’ll tell you more about it when we get outside it’s almost exactly what I remember yeah this a great planetarian presentation so much has changed over the years with planetariums certainly you know they had the big projector come up and do the star map but then also the whole thing was a video screen so so we’re approaching 600 p.m. I think we’re going to grab the free bus back to our car and make our way back to Long Beach wow we got we packed a lot in today we packed a lot in today lot in lot yeah it’s almost hard to remember we got off a cruise ship this morning so uh yeah back down the hill we go all right so we have arrived back at the Greek Theater thank you dashb time to retrieve the car and head The Long Beach the course is set doesn’t look too bad uh 8 minutes 30 miles we’re supposed to be there by 709 well well well we’ made it back and this may look familiar we’ve returned to the Fairfield and Los Alamitos proba should go check in it’s been a long day but we got a hot tip a hot tip on local tacos people said that the Taco Surf that was not good tacos and we had great tacos in insata in Mexico but um like I said hot tip on local tacos plus I realized we didn’t even tell you how how much we paid to get back from Funko on the Uber that’s the whole question of this video did it make sense for us to spend money instead of walking how much would you have paid uh but okay tacos then we’ll wrap it up we I’m exhausted but tacos all right look not Carl’s Jr but this local Taco spot established 60 years ago not even in this town uh yero California 60 years old so you know it’s going to be good uh here it is oh yeah it’s going to be a Dale taco night just one of my favorite fast food tacos 100% uh and of course it’s California as California gets I think they still got one of the best deals in the business three snack tacos for $2 come on pretty diverse menu here you lot even could get a burger it’s fresh as Dell fresh as Dell let me show you let me show you some authentic California Tacos here we have the classic Del Taco Taco crispy Deluxe Tomatoes make it Deluxe and then the crispy tostada and uh the french fries only in California bone appetit woo sometimes there’s nothing to it but to do it what a great day here in Southern California we got a lot in rosos pinks Hollywood Boulevard the Griffith Observatory and even some local tacos uh the big question is how much did we pay to avoid walking from Funko back to Madam tuso well here’s the step count for today we’re almost 13,000 steps and that walk that we took from Madam tuos to Funko over 3,000 steps took about an hour to make that walk and well uh 12 bucks we paid 12 bucks and I think the 12 bucks was worth it considering everything else we had to do would you have paid the $12 thank you so much for checking out today’s adventure if you’d like to see
