not only my parents are in Tokyo visiting us and we just spent the last week exploring the city today though we’re packing an overnight bag and heading to the town of hakone at the base of Mount Fuji we’re headed to hakone today we are going to get on the romance C and then we have a two-day pass to take pretty much any transportation around the city so hakone is it’s one of the towns around Mount Fuji okay so we say happy birthday it’s my dad’s 7th birthday today bir birthday papa happy Birthday Dad you guys kid clothes are smaller okay we’re walking we need to walk to the sucuba express again that’s the one that’s really close to our hotel and then we’ll take that one stop switch trains then we’re head to Shinjuku station where we’ll get on the romance car and this is like a cool scenic train that will take through the uh Countryside and all the way to like this Village near Mount Fuji the leaves are starting to change It’s Autumn the weather’s perfect sun’s out I’m loving it let’s go check this out how that was see very crowded Subway I’m glad that was just one stop we had to actually get on two different cars um yeah that was the most crowded Subway I’ve ever been on okay we just got to Shuka station you will that’s where we’re going right there [Music] okay we found it we have uh 10 minutes until we leave so hopefully our Train’s already there we can board and I’m with I’m [Music] with there’s the romance car that’s what we’re taking see right for hours just to pleas you okay that was awesome on the shinin in they have to come through and manually change all the seats but they just automatically changed all the seats like all of them started rotating around because TR changing the other directions that’s awesome me together yeah on way from I don’t cuz I did the same just for you you don’t know how much I love you cuz you’re my home away from home away from home away from being home we’re on the romance car train from Shinjuku to hakone and I have to mention the hakone free pass it’s been pretty awesome it covers roundtrip transportation from Tokyo and gives you unlimited rides on different Transportation options in hakone trains buses and even the pirate ship on Lake Ashi plus there are discounts on various attractions and restaurants I never did the math on whether it saved us money or not but it certainly made things simple we never had to stop and figure out how to buy tickets we just showed our pass and we were good to go okay we just got here right there freaking sweet that was a nice ride really nice that was so much fun all right let’s head right there right there yeah later okay we just found lockers and that was mad we uh barely had enough like we didn’t even have enough money and we didn’t have enough anything so had to go buy a water to get enough changed to buy the lockers and there are hardly any left so that was close okay we’re on the train and we’re going to take this like up the mountain I guess I don’t really know we don’t know what we’re doing you’ll find out when we find out so before the trip we purchased the hakone free pass that allows us to travel on pretty much any of the modes of transportation and hakone so now we’re getting on the hakone tozan train where we’ll climb the mountain utilizing a set of three switchbacks where the train actually pulls in and switches directions enabling it to climb up the hill the train will conduct his final switchb here do this the doors on the left side will [Music] open this is pretty much exra [Music] I’ll let you [Music] know okay so we keep climbing up this mountain and uh we keep hitting these switch PES and it’s taking forever so you got to keep going up and then you wait on the next train to come next to you and then you’ll switch to the next TR try to put a graphic on before switch back works but makes this journey so slow she J absolutely [Music] [Laughter] gorgeous hey okay so we just got to go we got off the train that had like all the switchbacks back and forth back and forth back and forth all the way up the mountain and then there’s also a finicula right over here that’s going to take you up further up the mountain but we’re getting really hungry so I think we’re going to go into town of there’s supposed to be a really big Park here too that’s supposed to look awesome with like the Autumn Le leaves and we want to check that out if it’s not too far but we really really really need to find something to eat okay we’re here and Lindsay’s found a couple cafes that we think we’re on the right track to go find um but we don’t really know we anything is I know where Linds do you know everything mhm Lindsay where you taking us I’m not taking you anywhere this is a freaking this is an Adam Hill yep open that one and it say how is it hot gu know what this is it’s bath it’s a football oh my gosh you can take shoes off and sit in there I want to do this that is so cool and papa too [Music] I can’t do this I I do with both but I just T to we just got to the D Brewery and it’s up I don’t know where it is we walked up a huge hill to get here and then waited for them to open and now we’ve ordered some fish and chips some shrimp tempura and they have an amazing beer list but I really don’t feel like having any beer before we’re about to go get on a finic get on a cable car and get on a pirate ship and then me and my dad or me and Lindsay have to go take a bus all the way back to the train station get our bags and then take them back to wh we going be so just don’t think I want a beer right now but check out this beer list looks [Music] [Music] awesome I like this that was this place this is that place that’s there the G Brewery and Grill pub stop it was okay wasn’t the best um yeah it’s tourist town food we’re going to go catch the finic now take it up get on the cable car hopefully we get some views of Mount Fuji and then we’re going to take the lake pirate ship to our Airbnb so let’s go ready to go go where see some stuff it’s way too bright I can’t look at you [Music] [Music] okay so we just got to the top of where the finic takes you and we’re just going to hop straight onto the ropeway because we’re kind of behind schedule um we don’t really have a schedule but we have a fake idea yeah we want to get on the pirate ship day exactly that’s kind of our main goal so we’re going to probably just hop on the ropeway right now and see what it takes [Music] us glad they didn’t [Music] I think we’re supp to do what are we supposed to do when they’re filing the [Music] [Music] [Music] oh my god wow that is [Music] unbelievable [Music] wow miners [Music] [Music] okay we just got up here and this is absolutely stunning I mean you can see this like sulfur mines down here with the steam just billowing up from the volcanic activity the moon’s up there above the freaking Mountain how freaking beautiful is that it’s amazing on the other side is Mount Fuji and over here is the sulfur mine it’s just incredible check this out so these black eggs are supposed to extend your life oh great yeah that’ be awesome to have one bir yeah yeah yes they’re just it’s just so we are going to check out these black eggs in hakone the black eggs can only be found in aak kadani and they are cooked in the sulfur mine every day you have to cook them for 60 minutes in 80° Celsius black egg is supposed to increase someone’s life by 7 years okay I think we found where you get the black eggs and it says the black egg stand is on the second floor so we’re heading there [Music] [Music] okay so we got those black eggs they’re uh really really black here we go it’s warm peel all the good part off you’re peeling all the good part off honey I need help yeah I’ll you yeah I mommy there’s like [Music] [Music] cheers those was so good it was it was this a egg and it was so good in the egg let Mommy talk we did it those were good that was it was good we went really long line but the line went really fast long line okay we’re heading down the other side of the mountain down to uh the other ropeway and then we’re going to go to the lake and that’s where the pirate ship will be [Music] we hop back in the cable car to leave a wadani and make our way back down the other side of the mountain and just to be clear we’re climbing and descending Mount hakone right now not Mount Fuji I thought that should be obvious since we can see Mount Fuji from where we are but I just wanted to make it clear Fuji yeah wow I want a m it’s m right there oh my [Music] God [Music] [Music] [Music] that as we descend views of Lake Ashi appear and with the sun setting over the glass-like surface of the lake it’s almost blinding but that’s our next destination we’ll get to the bottom and board the Queen ashinoko or as my family affectionately refers to it the pirate ship okay that’s where we’re about to ride these pirate ships right here [Music] [Music] we’re getting on the pirate ship you ready all right oh down here first class right this good this looks great he got a window here this is perfect [Music] are you having fun so cute are we on a pirate ship this is so neat we just boarded the queen ashinoko also known as the pirate ship this ship is one of three replica 17th century European vessels that sail the lake it’s pretty cool especially for the kids as we set sail across Lake Ashi we’re headed towards aone Machi a town on the southern shore of the lake the cruise will take about 30 minutes giving us plenty of time to soak in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and if you’re lucky another glimpse of Mount Fuji okay made it to the top only have 2% left but this is really crowded up here I’m me go back down oh it’s so beautiful though right now this is so [Music] pretty we’re starting to move very cool this is first classy there this is so cool oh my God the ship is beautiful though like from the outside it kind of looks like it’s going to be a junky like I don’t know kind of like a junky pirate ship but it’s beautiful it’s actually it’s clean it’s stunning it’s wellmaintained I love it it’s so [Music] pretty you a dancer [Music] [Music] Rising Sun IPA that’s what I’m talking about where’ you get us Rising Sun IPA nice oh it’s the Gora Brewing Company that’s where we went to that’s where we went to lunch oh [Music] yeah that’s good that’s tasty okay okay that was the hakone pirate ship awesome right was that was the queen asoa Queen asoko we put our coats in the Lockers in hakone station and it’s a lot chillier than I thought but this is freaking awesome you can see Mount Fuji right now from where we are walking I don’t know if you can see it but it’s right there this is so freaking cool I’m pumped I love this we got to walk to our Airbnb I need to get some more battery is charging cuz this thing’s almost dead I’m on my last battery anyway we’re walking up here to Airbnb then I think either Lindsay and I or my dad and I are going to run back to pone station and get the bags that we put in the coin lockers and then come back here and eat and that place is supposed to be around here somewhere too okay let’s look for that it’s right there yeah I was wondering if it was yep that’s it right there so it’s closed right now [Music] yoi hands this is it oh my God are you [Music] serious watch these here this is cool guys holy moly it feels good we just got here I got to find a place to charge these batteries um I can just hear the girls just running around upstairs yelling and screaming oh my gosh this is so awesome this is the best place ever the beds are so comfy this place is so cool um I love it I love it oh my gosh I do wish we were here longer look we got this room with Tommy Ms oh my all right let’s go upstairs and see what all this all this is going on up here okay oh my gosh this is amazing no I don’t know if it is I doubt this is your room because we just found out this one doesn’t have like the AC and stuff so the other two almost almost almost it’s right around those trees you can see the leg I know it is pretty can you see it that’s beautiful though oh my gosh this is great this is perfect yeah okay we are heading to go get some luggage this place is awesome I love it uh Lindsay will put the Link in the description below uh great so far as long as it doesn’t suck we’ll let you know maybe it has B bugs but probably not I’ll let you know tomorrow anyway we’re going to go get the luggage I’m not going to film that because it’s going to be boring it’s going to be dark it’s going to be a bus ride we’ll see you later probably going to bring you to dinner but we’ll see [Music] later okay we just got back yeah think 100% % I mean it might not be the greatest but yeah no it’s a 20 minute walk so if you guys are okay watching the girls for 45 to an hour do you want to uh we’ll go ahead and get them in their pajamas that’d be fine yeah I wouldn’t mind getting in my pajamas okay yeah and then we can go get some stuff we can if you have any ideas let us know I put the paper back on the back I told her we’d just set it up at our our place tomorrow the volume oh it won’t work like that I’m for a minute hold it okay Lindsay and I just got back from 7-Eleven because everything in this town is closed oh fun anyway we walked over there 20- minute walk there 20-minute walk back and now we’re eating 7-Eleven food for dinner so if you come I would probably not stay the night in this area or bring your own food I love this place mom you want to say anything [Music] I said I love this place Happy Birthday Dad thanks this best birthday I’ve ever had awesome thank you oh yeah papa zero came off and then I told him he was seven years old now oh my gosh he was seven yeah cuz his zero came off where’ the rest of the stuff go did it fall to yeah yeah but we’re done for the night we’ll see you later love you bye
