my name is Lena I’m from Germany where are you from and what are your names um we’re from the UK my name is Michael Michael my name is arene Alene nice to meet you too and is it your first time in Japan yes oh and how many days have you already been here day isn’t it going back tomorrow oh it’s already your last day okay and what have you been up to where were you everywhere and what did you do today we’ve been to Nagoya Castle nice and we saw the start of s ra and saw the chry blossoms opening where were you before the 5 days before that we’ve been staying in Yokohama MH um so um we’ve actually spent a couple of days there MH um and we we had a day up in Tokyo didn’t we yeah okay nice and why did you decide to come to Japan by accident really we were going to Australia New Zealand okay um which we’d originally planned to do at the time of the pandemic my daughter was working out there okay mhm um and she’s gone back now but we decided to go anyway but um on our way back we thought we’d stop off somewhere normally you would stop off Singapore or Hong Kong but I think Japan Airlines are doing a promotion to stop off in too so we thought why not come here nice so before Japan you went to Australia and New Zealand and tomorrow you’re then going to fly back all the way to the UK all the way to London yes exactly are you looking forward to home or would you like to yes already it’s been five weeks which is a long time hard work yes and um in Japan what has been your favorite experience so far well so far I guess it’s the end so what has been your favorite experience I think I think today yeah I think meeting meeting the people the Japanese people are they so polite Bo get all it we’re not used to that in England W yeah do you have like a memorable experience with someone you met something you would like to share I I think today today was lovely but also we we saw Mount Fuji from The Landmark Tower oh and that was fabulous uhhuh yeah so the weather was good for a couple of days at least nice we’ve been having some experiences in traveling it’s been difficult yes what has been difficult we went to get the shasten we booked to shasten to ngoo yes today and we didn’t know in Yokohama there is Yokohama station and there is shinyokohama station which is four four stations away but it’s been an experience okay okay but in the end you managed to get here we here so all well that ends well I guess exactly have you been to other Asian countries you have I’m to I’ve been to Vietnam okay yes India and India and India okay very nice and how does it compare I guess it’s very different very different yes did you have people are so different I think they’re very polite here yeah I’m an Indian that that you know they’re in your personal space a little bit you got to get used to that yeah that’s true that’s true I mean not you know just normal it’s just differences different yeah cultural differences yes well you said you had problems with your trains but did you have any kind of culture shock you know you just come in and you know I mean actually they’ve done a lot of stuff in in in Latin language now yeah but you know you go everywhere and for us the you we don’t speak any Japanese the alphabet is different we you have to sort of try and find your way but but that’s the fun of travel isn’t it you you do it and you get there yeah did you remember any kind of phrases or words in in Japanese did you your son was trying to teach you some over was we we failed you failed do you know what thank you is in Japanese no no it’s adig adig adig yes now you’re going back tomorrow but maybe maybe you can remember that one word very good there was an earthquake here today in the morning but I guess you didn’t you weren’t here for that 4 days ago there was there was quite a big one we felt that yeah yeah really how was that was it your first earthquake yes uh first we knew about I said oh there’s a bowl of water there you could see it I thought what is this could we isn’t an earthquake and can’t be there’ be alarms going off you know well well small earthquakes there are no alarms going off it’s just everything is like as usual and people are like oh yeah it’s an earthquake and then a minute later everyone is just going back to normal it’s just how you live yeah you had some of the same in New Zealand of course you that’s also the so MH did you see have one dare no no we didn’t but I mean I remember the our first time ever you you you were going to see um we were in NE in fact going to see the sort of um the buildings there and we had to do an earthquake drill interesting yes the first time ever that we’ve been told what to do if there was a earthquake I think that’s a good thing to know because the Japanese people um they grow up with this and they do that in school and me as a foreigner living here I never had like that kind of formal education what to do during an earthquake so when an earthquake hits I get panicked he is all business and it’s like opening doors and turning off gas and whatever and I’m just like my God the saying that sticks in my head is if it’s long be gone okay get out of there because that that’s when you might get a you know um a tile wave yeah um is there something you would like to take back with you can be something physical obviously but it could also be some kind of um concept or a way of thinking it will be the people I will take back from me the politeness yes so that would be nice to have that at home yes I think the food packaging that’s an odd thing you know um I mean it’s everything is presented so beautifully people take a great deal of care over just how the food is shown so I had um some of those um some little Sushi yeah MH and I mean there’re just ones you bought in the train station on our way up for lunch yeah beautifully packets rolled up in leaves mhm yeah um and yeah good tweet I just take that idea back so nice packaging definitely yes is there anything you would like to change about Japan so you’ve been traveling here was there anything that we like oh this would be better if it was like this or it would be better if it was more like the UK in a way or something like that thatly bigger portions of food very good answer yes for me you you’re not so bothered but you can tell I like my food yeah they do have bigger portion sizes for some things but obviously you have to know that you can ask for it obviously as a tourist you won’t know that since you’ve been traveling in New Zealand and Australia as well and you just came from the UK now compared to Japan does it seem more expensive or less expensive or what has been your experience those things are are quite similar I mean there’s some luxury goods we went into ginzo in in in um Tokyo and there you could spend a lot of money I think very quickly window just window shopping then you don’t spend that much that’s good we want a few little things to me but um but no but I mean ordinary things uh food very Sim simar entrances to to places it’s very reasonable I think so too especially compared to the UK we were traveling in the UK and just entrances to museums they like $20 and you’re like pounds sorry 20 my God here it’s like three yeah okay thank you so much for your time that was great thank you thank you nice to meet you guys my name is Lena what are your names my name is elas elas I’m niik and niik and you’re from Germany right nice uh is it your first time in Japan first time in Japan first time and how many days have you already been here um 16 days 16 wow nice how long are you going to be here uh till tomorrow okay so last yes and where have we been uh we started in Osaka then we went to Nara mhm then Koto then we went to Tokyo Tokyo Hiroshima yeaha then Tokyo and Nya and KOB also K okay and now back toak wow you’ve been around a lot we all also wanted to Nagasaki but the time was Nagasaki is pretty far yeah so what has been your favorite experience for me uh Kobe was one of the best cities did you try KOB beef yes we tried KOB beef there and it was really tasty and I really like the the harbor and the view it was pretty cool nice cool and for you favorite can KOB was really beautiful city okay nice okay and I also like Kyoto you also like Kyoto what in Kyoto did you like are the streets yeah okay how about the crowds I feel like this is a really crowded season was it okay it’s really crowdy but um everybody is really gentle here in Japan so everybody takes care of each other and so it’s pretty crowdy but it’s uh okay it’s good to handle okay did you have any kind of culture shock first time in Japan good or bad anything really clean everywhere you go yeah and the people are extremely po was kind of uh kind of new to me uhhuh and for you for me pretty much the same very polite people yes did you have any memorable interactions with Japanese people the the English speaking is kind of fun sometimes because it’s not so common to speak English with the people so yeah many fun interactions because we did with hands and yeah and we know zero Japan Japanese no Japanese so it was uh we always communicated with body language but it went pretty good okay great we made it through the yeah was there any there was a in I think NE neop park with the waterfall uhuh there was a um was a Japanese guy around 60 who speak really good English and also went to Germany and we talked to him like half an hour and it was pretty cool yes he thought of some cool places where we should visit here in Japan and yes it was that was the best conversation for me okay cool very memorable yes and he also gave us a little snack a little bom bong and said don’t worry it’s not poison so he was pretty funny and really cool oh yeah nice yeah that those are the best experiences definitely so at 8:30 in the morning there was an earthquake did you realize that we slept through it like a baby but we we felt the earthquake yes uh we had an earthquake experience at uh Tokyo at Tokyo yes yeah and we were like in the ninth floor okay and we were lying in our futons and suddenly it was like a everything was shaking and then I was like and we looked at each other and said oh earthquake and then scary for the first yes unlocked the phone and we we we earthquake okay and then we said oh what we’re going to do and we just laid there wait for it to stop after 20 seconds it was over and everything was good yeah but it was your first experience with an earthquake earthquake experience yes it’s it’s kind of weird right because you’re like what’s going on yeah have you traveled to any other Asian countries in the past first Asian country why did you want to come to Japan uh um because of the culture I love the architecture of the old castles okay nice and they are some have a favor for cars and I also like cars so I thought this would be the best Asian country for me okay cool and for you the food the food okay let’s talk about the food what kind of food do you like the fried food everything fried is really tasty the seafood yeah love the sushi a sushi like so was there anything you didn’t like maybe the toilet paper a toilet paper it is so thin but yes but I really love the heated seat yeah I I think that’s a very German answer the toilet paper Miss I really miss the heated seats yeah yes yes me too every time I go back to Germany and I sit on the toilet I like oh my God it’s so cold why is it so cold so we should have that in Germany warm seats very good but yes the toilet paper here is too thin I agree definitely one one one last question um if you could take anything back with you from Japan can be some item or maybe a concept what would it be um the concept of um respecting the elders and being very nice and po right okay nice thank you take the trash your own trash with yourself ah you like that yeah I really like it it’s okay because it’s everywhere clean it’s doesn’t stink anywhere mhm I really like the clean I like that you said that because most people complain that there are no garbage cans anywhere it’s kind of annoying at the first place but if you if you manage to if you manage it after a couple of days then it’s kind it’s okay and in that same spirit is there anything you would like to change about Japan something you struggled with where you were like oh this is better in Germany or I don’t like the um air conditioner no air conditioner airer Air Condition it’s too much air conditioner every room in every train my nose is my my my my throat is always dry I I don’t like this at all mean neither I don’t like it either like lifting in Germany oh yeah yeah yeah better way for me that’s German culture right yes okay um I have some sweets It’s not poison would you like to try something Japanese sweets yeah sure okay how do you like how do you like matcha oh I like it yes okay so can you hold this for a second just between you that’s fine um so these are macadamia nuts and this chocolate is also available able as normal chocolate but now it’s a special one with matcha so please I will take this again and you can both take one and let’s see if you like this you can be honest yes no maybe good it’s good fine I like me too yeah have you had other matcha sweets before really tasty yes you like I have one in my backpack okay nice I’m happy that you enjoyed that and if you want to you can keep the whole package actually so you can share it with you and and your other friend thank you so much for your time awesome [Music] [Laughter] bye-bye by

Over-weight in middle age People’ countries as EU,UK,US etc
aren’t satisfied with food stomach fullness of the Japanese portions.
Quantity serves than quality prioritized⁉️👻🤪😜😎👊
Japan is quality conscious for prices as lower costs.
British 🇬🇧English is very easy to hear👍🏻 . After all , base-country of English . For that , US 🇺🇸English is very difficult to get with speaking fast 😂. British 🇬🇧English & US🇺🇸 English feel other language each . ………For me , basically , usually use US 🇺🇸English . Often use " fuckin " " shit " and more . ……Anyway , Lena san is very awesome with talkable German 🇩🇪, Japanese🇯🇵 , English 🇬🇧. 3 languages . 👍🏻………German🇩🇪 English in last , speaking English clunky a little bit . But , very good👍🏻 !!! For German🇩🇪 , English is foreign language . ……English of German 🇩🇪accent & English of French 🇨🇵accent , both feel so nice . 👍🏻
Every time I watch your interview video I want to study English more
