We explore the craziest street in Osaka 🇯🇵

Today we explore more of Osaka, Japan. Shinsekai, the area we explored is a retro downtown area of southern Osaka, famous for Tsutenkaku, Janjan Yokocho Alley, and a giant blowfish lantern sign. Shinsekai is located beside the downtown Minami area of Osaka City, to the west of Tennoji Park. Use your JR Pass to take the JR West Osaka Loop Line to JR Shin-Imamiya Station. Locate the station’s east exit. Shinsekai is a 10-minute walk from the station.
This is definitely the craziest place in Osaka, Japan 🇯🇵

[Music] right the next stop on our little tour of Osaka we have the sin Sakai sini yeah something like that I’m not sure how to pronounce it but it’s like the street here near the Osaka Tower the Hitachi Tower and it’s called sin seai C I have no idea how to pronounce these names I feel like it’s um got to be full of arcade games and some food markets yeah that check out it will be quite cool um looks like a cool it does that I don’t think the camera’s going to pick up but it’s like really cool little Street all the way up there all the way to where the tower leads so we’re going to go and find ourselves a bubble tea because it’s hot day and Beth really fancy one and I can get on board of it so yeah bubble tea time in the Sinai Sinai I really don’t know how to pronounce it if anyone can help me pronounce it please let me know in the comments because I’m awful video in the way is it yeah it’s really bloody hot to We complain when it rains And We complain when it’s hot yeah that’s part of being British is always just yeah always complaining about the weather regardless if it’s nice or [ __ ] um part I feel like I’m in like France yeah yeah it is it’s a really weird looking Eiffel Tower it was probably here before the uh maybe not actually I don’t know um it looks cool though yeah this area cool that looks cool over there look look at that that’s well nice over there not no maybe I think it might be a shrine you know what you looking at what’s he looking at yeah it’s a shrine oh that looks like a really nice Shrine have a look over there quick um this is like literally right in the middle of the street I guess people come to pay our specs yeah that’s nice cool can’t go in cuz with the camera think this actually one of the coolest streets we’ve been to in Japan in the whole of Japan yeah look how cool is you’ve got the tower yeah it’s quite cool it’s so nice at night as well I bet it all lights up yeah yeah even that lights up I think it be sick so either side of this street so far I can see a lot of like restaurants cafes and stuff um over there we got some sort of nice cafe there’s not actually too much here so far what’s that can’t read Japanese I don’t have a clue what that says uh again likewise don’t have a clue what that says either um maybe it kind of gets a bit busier down there yeah we’re heading down that way cuz it is a cool street but I can’t actually see much here right now unless it transforms at night we’re heading to the shin SEI is that what this road called New World which is a busy historic area with shops and dining nice so I think it’s kind of nearer the tower on our way to the the bubble tea we’ve just walked past a Pringles Tower Pringle store Annex I can’t pronounce that word tower and it’s basically like a four store building thing dedicated to Pringles and sweets I’ve never ever seen that before ever I just think it’s quite cool I thought I’d show you because I think it’s quite cooland I don’t know I don’t know either maybe that is sick probably a good little photo opportunity to be fair probably that’s what she’s going to be doing in a second yeah right how far is this bubble tea place away a bit further up oh wow we’re literally going right under the tower here ah look at that so the tower as we walk through here is going to be right above us and I’m not really sure how I feel about that to be honest look at this to be fair that is sick so nice yeah this is well cool it’s definitely worth doing in Osaka like this is I think I mean we have only been here a few days yeah best thing so far yeah look at that that is sick actually I didn’t realize we walking under theath Tower and to be fair yeah right so that there’s a road up there where we’re going and that looks so much more busy so I assume that’s where all the exciting stuff is because it looks R up there they’ve got coin lockers here as well what a luggage yeah I think so which is always good to know yeah oh wellow this is cool they got so many shops so many like neon signs and stuff this is like oh my God look at that this is mental here is it it’s un real I don’t even know where to look honestly it gives me like har haraj youu Vibes in Tokyo yeah it does is that kind of like shopping arcade different shops that you get this place is sick look at that that is mad oh my God look at all that I mean I’m sure it look so much better at night but I’m going to grab a quick video of this because it looks so cool look at that so behind the scenes with Dan behind the scenes with d travel is [Music] right everyone’s queuing up for a photo with this giant baby buer thingy here really not sure what relevance it has but I mean people are taking the time to queue up for it so if anyone knows and please let me know in the comments because I can’t read Japanese and I don’t have an idea um the street is so cool look at it it’s like it’s kind of like a them Park isn’t it it’s unreal there’s a lot of giant babies around yeah I don’t know if they’re baby budas I think so yeah they must be baby bu there’s one there there’s one over there interesting no way on Earth so we just walked past this menu and luck you’ve got lizard you’ve got frog scorpion I guess frog and scorpion are Norm especially if you’re French um but Sparrow like literally looks like baby tiny little Sparrow you got crickets and then it says coconut worm there but it looks more like um like wiy grubs or what they’re C on coconut worm actually sounds quite nice I love coconut I can imagine it definitely doesn’t taste like coconut but but who on Earth is buying a [ __ ] lizard for a snack and a little baby sparrow like surely there’s no meat on there whatsoever I don’t understand and crickets got those but I know where where I went beating for lunch let’s go and get our bubble tea hopefully our bubble tea doesn’t have any [ __ ] crickets in [Music] it so our Maps has led us H here we go a bubble tea section oh the menu is not as big is it Beth likes her juicy bubble teas and all I can see here is milk teas and be’s not a huge fan of the milk teas are you uh to be I can see some other ones in there but um might have to go have a look but me just looks like milk teas oh it smells good though Google translate so this is what we do Google translate take a photo oh yeah they’re all milk tea yeah they’re all milk teas lactic lactic acid bacteria green tea where is that top one tanese National oh I love that one to be fair if it’s not got if it’s not got milk in it it looks like it does what are these ones say Tata green tea T green tea never heard of it what what these are going to be sodas aren’t they maybe squash squash any any other places around here CH they really good I don’t know why I have H in my God knows um right well because best picky we’ve decided not to go on that one and we’re going to walk 7 minutes to the next one I just don’t like milk in my tea right then well next one it is so let’s go try and hope find they’ve got so many of these everywhere and they got always got Pokémon ones in there and always on the Pokémon ones we spent like 500 yen or was it 800 Yen 800 Yen on one of these the other day uh we didn’t win anything so I refuse they someone said that you always win after three gos but we did about three or four and it win yeah we we gave up cuz then we were like how much money can we actually spend on one of these yeah I bet they I bet people spend thousands I bet they make so much money do you not know they lost it maybe you can’t miss it can’t you look at the size that [ __ ] oh yeah that’s what they put some there oh yeah not entirely sure what that means I wonder if f up B that wonder what H what can we get to be fair that looks inane let’s give it a go I’ve G for the Royal milk tea I think is that’s oh that’s really good and that is still warm down there and it tastes [ __ ] incredible oh unreal how is it it’s a nice it’s bit passion free tea I think going to be green tea I did have to just go ask to get some pears in I thought it came with it but that I want these little bits coconut yeah I mean mine’s already kind of T bit peachy actually really look good all right let’s get it go so good what’s that about yeah it’s kind nice actually yeah I’m not sure what those bits are but I think they’re fruit that’s nice mine’s nice isn’t it so sweet down there just tastes like tea yeah that’s what I like sugary tea milky tea pretty much just sugary cheese be better it is quite nice actually un just came to 620 which I think is about3 so a lot cheaper in England um but not as cheap as like Malaysia or Indonesia wherever we’ve been so right then I guess uh that kind of now finishes off our day here in Osaka uh I thly enjoyed it Saka is weird but it’s wonderful at the same time like yeah very similar to too but also like just a bit more of a chilled Cool vibe I think TOA yeah I agree I agree um yeah I guess that is it for today so thank you
