it is famous for few things deers and the floating Tory gate um probably the most famous Tory gate in Japan sits out in the water just off the uh just off the shore so we’re about to cruise into the ferry terminal and grab a ticket and then get the ferry across it’s only about 10 minute ferry ride uh about half an hour from Central Hiroshima to get out here to miuchi I think it is Mia maguchi interesting we went we found a really cool whiskey bar so I just looked up F bars that have five stars and took us to Baro which is about a 5 minute walk from where we had dinner and then figured out that it was whiskey and I was like oh no I know a lovely well you enjoyed the okom Yaki dinner that’s for sure yeah okonomiyaki dinner was delicious and then I had a really good Plum lure whiskey which is really nice Plum lure aome which is like aged in a whiskey barrel whiskey good how is your whiskey oh my God it’s all going on here uh my whiskey was good yeah we went to yeah the one bar with a five star rating Baro which had three reviews on it and uh yeah three reviews five stars and if you’re into whiskies it was actually like a wicked Whiskey Bar like the variety was huge heaps of Japanese whiskies heaps of like traditional SC Scottish whis they had a bit of everything there he was a connoisseur of all even had a few gin for us to try I had a few G fromo gin Distillery so one of them was a lavender gin was it was it called anyway you try he tried a gin just a regular sort of style gin probably just classic elder flower infused and then there was also a lavender gin it was right let’s Adventure let the adventure begin so you going to ride a deer bab that what else I do right ride de save a deer Ride a Cowboy Save a Horse Ride a deer we’re leaving hirosima to MIMA we’ll call itoshima to see AA m m so it’s not Mya as me mate the lens wanted to describe it as it’s actually called Mima so many deers here MMA or dearer all right first things first we haven’t had breakfast it’s been a bit of a late start we didn’t get to bed until probably like4 midnight last night um uh cuz it was quite a long afternoon on the bullet train down from Tokyo to Hiroshima uh but we have found what we are looking for [Music] Bakery now that we’re full of zebra Bakery goodness we got to go find up what our day is going to look like in the go so we’ve barely even left the fery terminal and here we have a little dear oh my God there’s more there’s one right there oh my God this one’s just they’re everywhere and they’re so tame [Applause] [Music] a spirit animal spirit animal shake a little deer oh he’s making some noises is it I think so yeah that’s the dog oh he’s off where you going t and I again on a boat what do you think about the deers baby you I like the deers I like the Sass on them little kid came up to the deer and he was like yeah true that deer tried to take a little NI at the kid he was pretty asleep though so he was pretty sleep they’re all pretty sleepy and chill in all fness the kid was in the wrong trying to you know touch the deer while they sleeping like how many people like to be touched while they’re sleeping they just like to sleep CH your little kid little little dear when the tides are you can actually walk all the way out to gate to the oori gate on the water but at the moment as you can see people getting buried out there man of wooden wooden little uh Gra to get people nice and close to it cuz you can’t walk out but hopefully by the end of the day we can come back here and we can walk right out to it with the tides down and um just cross is cross just a moment for the the dog how good is this outfit it’s outrageous baby everything here is that dog’s dressed better than I am seen a dude wearing like fluro green camo gear now I’ve seen a dog wearing like a dark leopard print it’s outrageous I actually also just saw a dog in a little Chanel puppy bag as well on this old man which is crazy wonder if the dog’s confused and thinks it’s a leard wonder if the dog’s confused and thinks it’s got a lot of cash to spend on Chanel I think I might have that problem puppy privileges. walking through the Oto Forest doing the mount Miss Trail uh so this is where we landed at the Mima pier and this is where we had zebra Bakery and then we walked around here past the main otori gate around the back of the IU Shima Shrine and then to amoto park and we’re just around here somewhere and we’re going to do this big trail all the way around the top to the shishi wa station and the main missing Observatory that’s our Summit Point up there so far we’ve got 2.6 M left km left if we only had 2.6 M left we’d be l laughing’s going down but we’re not quite at that point 2.6 km to go and we are nearly there we’ve stripped off the jackets cuz it’s gotten a bit warm we have stripped off the jackets just into shirts and it’s probably how warm do you reckon it is today like 10° Max is like 9 or 10° yeah not much warmer than that so yeah and we’re climbing these steps the whole way and it gets here we had to strip off deep oh but you know what py you’re not stripped off enough give us some more I’ll save it for when we get back down the bottom to the beach I’ll go just go for swimmy jocks I’ll I’ll do I’ll do backstroke through the T gate give the people what they want py I will [Music] in the trail we’ve got to be close now we’ve been going for about 45 minutes we have I mean I know they say it takes 2 hours D can it really take 2 hours can it really can it really I guess maybe it can can it can oh you can see the water from up here oh first proper glimpse of the sea out of the canopy is just down through there it’s probably a bit hard to see on the camera but but I’m sure we’ll get to a point where we can give you a good look in the not too distant future the log hop slly balls one leg over flying the other leg over the other technique a swift slide like that oh no you lost your back we’re good we made it diagonal step technique makes it a bit easier on the leg for the young players out there if you are don’t just want to power straight up using a bit of sideway action doesn’t go astray the trusty Converse and the trusty Converse we’ll always get you there versus basically boots basically mountaineering boots cuz they’re the only shoes I bought to Japan so I was like oh well they’ll take care of me in the snow in Theo and they’ll also take care of me hiking and walking around so you know what Peter I think I’ve got an unfair Advantage why over you CU I’m wearing these bad boys sunlight from the other side [Music] baby [Laughter] whoa now we’ve got to go down parking in some premium linen here thanks Mom another Christmas shirt that I’m going to destroy oh wow we’ve made it so far we have literally come from over here well this is the pi where we actually started we started Pi we went we went all the way over to timore park timore park then we started hiking this Trail came all the way around to this point that is one hell of a walk we’ve done the whole top [Music] half so we made it to the top made it to the top and it’s beautiful up here very pretty Hiroshima oh the FL hirosima all in the distance distance it’s uh what it’s a good walking about his legs feeling absolutely fantastic well stretched we need we need the exercise anyway we did excise post Christmas cardio get about um so time we start at 12: it’s about 2:00 now so 2 hours pretty much bang on 2 hours the few little stops looking at a few of the little shrines on the way up mainly having a wander around the um the mount missen obser uh Observatory the mount missen like Shrine I guess it is yeah yeah I thought we were there about five times before we were yeah but here we are and it is beautiful beautiful so we’ve just got back down into Mima after being up at Mount M and completing the Miss omoto course and the tide has come all the way out and it looks like they’re going to do some sort of ceremony out here on the water and they’re going to burn some stuff maybe that’s what I reckon you re baby well look at that they got a big T full of cardboard boxes oh they do they do I think we’re going to get a bit of a show here that we weren’t expecting we’re also going to do a little stroll out maybe oh it’s not quite low enough get the whole way out but you can see over here the shrine is completely walkable yeah completely walkable so the Tide’s gone all the way out and uh I guess we’re prepping for the for the show we could walk all the way out in that little walk thing all the way out to the oh there is a little walk thing we definitely could babe my boots are waterproof so I’m ready to go um these boots are made for walking yeah these boots are made for walking we can go over the other side and just walk out if we want yeah we go have a look what do you reckon why not it’s pretty cool well so here we are we’re right in front of it and it looks like they’re just founding a pile of rubbish and the rubbish is all just flying back over to where the train station is on the other side of the bay and into the ocean um yeah I guess uh I don’t really know how I feel about that I don’t know how I feel about that yeah there’s a lot of plastic a lot of paper getting burnt um I’m I’m still not sure cuz there was a bit of a ceremony here before like that went around but you know I don’t want to be like too particular I know care for your oceans people care for your oans May we’re going to get rain on with Ash at the moment are it’s literally going to rain on us don’t really want to knock on the Japanese Traditions but we’re both not sure how we feel about burning a bunch of plastic like it looks like the whole Island’s rubbish is just getting tossed into this fire and it’s just spr in front in front of right in front of the the sh the most famous Shinto gate like in Japan and uh it’s a little bit and oh it’s raining look it’s raining and dust plastic straight into the sea so yeah but we are right here like we are very close we we would have had to swim out here 6 hours ago and now we can walk to it we can literally walk to it the Tor Gateway the Tor gate we are literally right on the beach it’s really real wet now oh yeah okay you just stand on a nice bit of dry patch go on extra step forward please that’s dry just when you thought you’d had enough of deers there’s more deers dear dear dear hey buddy hey mate hey baby dear how you going oh you’re really cute can you run for us can you do some baby deer dancing cuz little pancake yeah the maple leaf on it oh it’s delicious yeah it’s kind of like consistency of a lemonon it’s pretty decent not a bad little snap and they kind of do have mimoji maple leaf like the Japanese maple leaf got a bit of a maple leaf flavor they shap like the maple leaf well they’re not anymore cuz they’ve [Music] gone all right so we’ve just finished our tasty treats at the migi place in Mima um and yeah we’re uh just heading back to the ferry going through the main village TR and about to send it back to Hiroshima we are what was your highlight of today my highlight of today was definitely uh Mount M so yeah it was gorgeous hike up there uh there was a lot of steps which were a little bit arduous if you’re are not in good physical condition which we are both definitely not after all the Christmas eating we have been doing uh but yeah that was definitely a highlight the view up there was spectacular and and yeah thoroughly enjoyed doing that with you yeah I loved it there was heaps of things to do seeing the shrines hiking up to mount miston seeing the view up there then seeing the deers and just walking around and enjoying the sights it’s been a really beautiful
