Divers turn in to POLICE – 6 iPhones, Cash, Wallet Recovered in Miami

We went Search and Recovery diving a busy Miami waterway and found thousands of dollars worth of phones, a wallet, and much more. today we are in the busy busy city of miami we are doing a search and recovery for lost items here i brought old school with me old school is been diving for like 80 years expert search and recovery diver we got this busy bridge over here we’re gonna go check out and see what’s under the bridge and we got this kayak launch right here so we’re looking for phones wallets gopros knives who knows what could be under there it’s very busy there’s police around there’s cars there’s a lot of stuff so we need to be fast and quick so for this dive i am using the nomad by blue the nomad by blue is a battery-powered diving system we can dive right out of the car no boat no scuba tanks along with the nomad i am using the ots spectrum full face dive mask now this is a full face dive mask and it goes over my mouth so what this allows me to do is talk while i’m diving so i can tell you what’s going on and what i’m finding underwater and it also allows me to mount my gopro on top so you can see exactly what i see oh what’s that oh what is [Music] [Music] oh [Music] [Music] oh oh [Music] we haven’t even left this boat launch yet and already found three iphones under here most of them look pretty crusty they’ve probably been in here a long time but one of them looks pretty good it’s in an otterbox so it might still work so i’m excited to get that one home and plug it in old school just popped up out of the water let’s see what he’s got he’s got something i jumped oh you found a phone though is it iphone it’s an old whatever it is it’s old got some hundred year old something oh it’s old well you know it’s stainless steel water bottle so i’m not gonna open up and drink what’s inside but we’ll clean it up i think this will be pretty good [Music] [Music] oh oh [Music] i was a little bit worried because the police came by i thought they were going to kick us out but they just looked at us and they just kept going by in their boat they didn’t care at all but next we need to get over to the bridge and see if there’s any lost items under the bridge old school and i are both on one paddleboard we’ve got two nomads on the same paddleboard all the gear all our valuables are in that box behind us there’s a boat whoa there’s a big sunken boat no kidding there is a big sunken boat we’re at the bridge here it’s a really busy bridge lots of cars going over there’s almost people over there there’s all kinds of people walking over the bridge here so we might find something cool i’m a little bit nervous because the water is the tide starting to come out and we’ve lost the visibility in the water so we don’t have much time to do this and i already saw a shark today so i’m a little bit nervous about being under this dark bridge but let’s see what we can [Music] oh [Music] oh [Music] wow wow oh what’s this [Music] oh big battery wow let’s get it out [Music] oh my goodness oh it’s a kid credit card oh wow [Music] oh game oh oh it’s the old boombox yeah oh what is that oh [Music] look at this here guys we found three iphone 12s an iphone 13 and iphone 13 pro max this is a really really nice phone this one was actually under the bridge so someone threw this off the bridge i don’t know why they would throw it off the bridge but hopefully it still works and maybe we can use it we found a wallet i’m gonna put my finger over so you can’t see who the person is this kid lost his wallet and there was fifty dollars in the wallet and all the credit cards and everything this is crazy so we’re actually gonna take this wallet over to the police and see if they have a missing person’s report or anything like a theft report we’re gonna get this to the police maybe they can get it back to the kid so old school looked a little bit further into the wallet and there’s actually three ids in here so i don’t know if these are stolen ids fake ids or what but we’re going to get these over to the police i think they’re going to want to see them we’re here at the miami beach police station we’re going to bring it back with all the ids and the money hey we were diving and we found someone’s wallet there’s like three ids in here there’s cash three ids and they look like young i mean they look pretty young just drop it in here and i’ll go ahead and turn that okay here i’ll contact the person and go get it you want me to leave these all together yeah yeah there you go sir no problem man thank you all right well thanks hey have a good day i appreciate it we got the wallet back to the miami beach police they put it in the evidence bag they’re going to check the ids and see if there’s any missing persons report or if there’s any uh crimes on file associated with those ids so i’m pretty happy with that we’re gonna get home we’re gonna plug those phones in and see if any of them work and if any of them work we’re gonna turn them back on and try and get them back to the owner [Music] you
