this is what it looks like at the top of
Mount Fuji during the final few days of
my trip to Japan I had the opportunity
to climb Mount Fuji overnight to catch
the sunrise at the summit my path was
the Yoshida Trail which took about 1
hour to reach by bus from kaag gucho
station it was a pretty rainy day and
the weather only got worse as you go up
in altitude since the winds start to
pick up and the temperatures start to
drop I finally reached the hood I was
staying in in good recharge for the
evening which cost me almost 12,000 yen
or close to $1 1200 a.m. came around and
it was time to continue the second half
of the hike to reach the Summit Before
Sunrise at this point the weather was
freezing and the winds were insanely
strong but we finally reached the summit
at around 3:50 a.m. and saw the sun come
up at 4:10 a.m. at around 5:30 a.m. I
started my 6-hour descent back down to
the first station which is way harder
than going up to the summit it took an
entire 24 hours to scale up and down
Mount Fuji and I was exhausted there’s a
saying that only a fool climbs Mount
Fuji twice but I would do it again in a
heartbeat
