Join us in Episode 56 of BZ Travel’s Ultimate World Cruise as we discover the captivating city of Yokohama, Japan. Often overshadowed by its bustling neighbor Tokyo, Yokohama offers a refreshing blend of scenic beauty and serene city life, making it a true hidden gem on Japan’s coast.
Our journey begins with a picturesque walk along the harbor, where we’re greeted by the local Sunday morning vibes—joggers, food courts, and families enjoying the waterfront. Yokohama’s clean and orderly atmosphere is immediately noticeable, with spotless public spaces that reflect the city’s meticulous nature.
As we explore further, we find ourselves on the Marine Walk, an elevated pedestrian path that provides stunning views of the cityscape. This walkway, complete with escalators and elevators, allows us to effortlessly traverse the city from above, offering unique perspectives of the urban layout and its integration with nature.
One of the highlights of our visit is the innovative use of public areas, like the communal barbecues set up in park-like settings, where locals can bring their charcoal and enjoy a picnic right by the water—a testament to Yokohama’s community-focused lifestyle.
Yokohama proves to be a less touristic yet equally fascinating destination compared to Tokyo, with its relaxed pace and beautiful waterfront that invites both locals and tourists to relax and take in the beauty. Whether you’re strolling through its clean streets or enjoying a leisurely day by the bay, Yokohama offers a peaceful yet vibrant atmosphere that is sure to charm.

more more places with butter yeah look
at that and they have it underneath the
trees like you’re out in the countryside

yeah yeah Japanese style in that
Waterfront in the city they’ve got
lights you can come out at night too is
 Coleman the city’s providing Coleman
covers I’ll be darn those would be
destroyed and and ripped off so fast in
 most countries
you know the barbecues would have been
 stolen long
ago wow look at this what a neat setting
huh wow oh gloves they providing a
charcoal even dream door they provide a
 Charco mattress and white
 gloves very
 nice go
wow one of the things to do here is to
go to the cup noodles Museum it talks
about how they started the actual ramen
noodles and how it’s progressed over the
years to be able to cook it in a cup the
instant cup noodles that you see you
know I’m really pleasantly surprised how
 meet this this
 city
yeah the music park right here has an
incredible Ferris wheel takes an hour to
go around and they use it almost like a
clock which is really cool and
the the the the coaster it goes right
down into the water I guess they have it
go down into the ground the water is
really cool I was looking at that too
we’re not roller coaster people but if
you have kids who are into that Cosmo
 world right here in yok
Yokohama just a couple blocks from the
 cport terminal
and there’s a lot of beautiful cherry
 trees out right
now this a huge Mall Go the whole

round trip yeah like $15 round trip for
two people okay we’re on the we’re on
the Gondola we’re going across the
harbor and I believe it takes us over to
a park see and we’re going to find out
but they have a lot of neat tours from
here cherry blossoms are out all the
locals are out as a Sunday I think it I
heard it was one of their first really
 nice warm spring days

say fruy craft boss all right let’s see
if it’s any good go ahead this whole
area used to be a dockyard well they
call it a dockyard garden now but it

 feelings depends on what you
want we got the idea to go to Chinatown
which is about three blocks on the ship
and everybody’s here we were in a nice
peaceful part of the town and then
 suddenly I got extremely
crowded well it’s because it’s one of
those tourist places they tell you
 everybody to go
 Chinatown and
