So, Nijisanji have opened the old merch stores to sell them all.

And some of those positions are for people who are now away.

In particular, Mirei Gundo.

What.

Here is the link to prove.

Whichever side you are taking about her, all signs point to her being unwelcome, and separation being filled with less-than-pleasant emotions. Her channel is wiped clear(which, while her/their full right, is still unusual outside of people who were exiled), and apocryphal(which I will admit) testimonies of those who saw her graduation stream say she was not okay.

So why is her merch being sold? Yes, the position is tagged with only one of four livers presented, but then why is it called "random", and why is everyone else not cropped out? It takes longer for graphic editor to open than to perform the required operations in it. Even if, somehow, they dont have any, a site for cropping pics online exists.

~~~
Someone else also said they sell Pomu merch. Quick search confirms that there are, indeed, Pomu-specific positions, as well as positions that include Pomu when it would be possible to exclude her. Is it alright? Will they pay her for that, or did the merch agreement go as "We pay your share in advance for the whole batch", or does graduation mean that she now is not entitled to share? And why now, instead of making a big sell-out at her graduation?
I am trying to give benefit of the doubt, but it feels like (searches for the acceptable word) distasteful move.
    You can definitely find other words for what this is, but let’s no whip out the thesaurus too soon. This is distasteful. Utterly distasteful
    It looks like they didnt even bother to change the site just opened the old pages. Selen’s picture and name is on the site thats why I thought they were selling merch
    Old post: Looks like they are selling Selen merch
    They own the characters and probably want to cash in.
    When Selen was fired, they said:
    > We will also gradually halt the sale of merchandise and voice-related content. Please note that merchandise produced in 2023 featuring Selen Tatsuki or including her in their line-up may be released in the future. Selen Tatsuki’s revenue payment for these has either already been completed, or is planned to be settled by the end of February.
    So, if it worked the same for other talents, they pay the talents for their merch when they leave, even if that merch hasn’t been released yet. (Edit: and this merch sale seems to be old stuff anyway.)
    Ok context time. This is part of a campaign for Shinseikatsu 2024 or in unfortunate english literal translation New life support (I know, I know). This isn’t life support in the hospitalization sense but a new beginning sense. Since April is the start of a new financial year and school year, there is a marketing campaign throughout Japan by companies to basically welcome the start of a new year as students get into new classes, people changed jobs or moved houses etc.
    Nijisanji has a marketing campaign for this in 2024 but unfortunately there aren’t any new goods but instead are whatever they have left in stock currently being sold. So this includes anniversary goods from past years as well as their general merch. You can see it as a clearance sale to clear their warehouse but I do not know if the prices are slashed. The only new merch is the clear file as a gift for every 2000 yen spent on the store.
    Regardless of the permission behind the merch agreements, the cut is only 2% anyway. Buying merch is not the way to support the talents. I’m just surprised they made so many goods that should have been made-to-order so you don’t have a warehouse of unsold goods, especially for these kind of merch that only one dedicated fanbase will buy.
    they are desperate so save their sinking ship 4Q will be interesting but given that merch sales was down before most of this even happen i’m not sure this would save them
    i wouldn’t mind some pomu and selen merch but i have no desire to support this black company
    I think it’s OK for me as long as former talents still get a fair share from merchs, but with Nijisanji’s recent history, it couldn’t helped to doubt.
